Yohan gets the credit because they were nerf happy before he stepped sideways. He took charge and said stop nerfing things. He's 100% responsible for this patch.

@@cptheadache4584 There's actually still quite a bit of complaining on the SubReddit and Discord (some of which are justified since it's about annoying bugs) but the difference with this patch to before is, despite the things to complain about, there's also a LOT to celebrate and enjoy in the game with the recent changes.
Agreed 100%. It takes a whole crew to sail a ship, but the captain decides where the ship goes. He may not have written every line of code, but he absolutely deserves full credit for making the game fun again!
However, all anti-tank weapons were indirectly nerfed by the amount of behemoth charges in D9 and the Pummeler was also gutted.
@@eltoro7821 yep, I've been waiting for the secret nerfs to come to light. The increased heavies puts the anti tank to shame. They gave all the primaries extra penetration, but none of the anti armor really got buffed. This is why people wanted a revert, and not just a rebalance based on the changes already made. At least there are no more missions where you're neutered because they just wanted you to have less stratagems.
Did they forget the liberator penetrator exists? All the buffs that have happened, yet the penetrator has only done 45 damage since launch
Use a different gun.
LIB pen for what it's worth maybe like 75 damage would be nice lol it ain't no Tenderizer but it shouldn't do less damage lol

@@northerntoe It was a shit gun, since launch, because no dev thougth to themself about how medium armor pen and low bullet dmg would interact. The result a gun that tickles medium enemies because of low dmg. The Adjudicator pretty much does its job now.

@@mysterious___1 facts. Alexus was very antagonistic to players when originally their criticisms/complaints were not even "unfairly" targeting him. Many players have also reported being banned from the official discord for making legitimate, non-inflammatory criticisms specifically about gameplay.

They also start spawning far quicker when u kill them quicker, me and my squad with quasers and spears were dropping them left and right and it would spawn like 2 or 3 replacements I have never seen so many spawn yet we still killed them all lol

I mean, to be fair. When Yohan stepped down and became CCO, we suddenly started getting banger updates that's causing players to come back. But when they were left to their devices when he was a CEO. We got shitty updates that caused most of the fun guns to suddenly become dog water. So yeah, chances are he caused that change.

Well, i wouldnt put it quite like that. I would say johan saw all of the lack of direction and the slow grinding away of fun, and when he put himself in charge of that, the devs either got their shit together and actually started fixing things, or saw it as a sign to not rock the boat lest it draw more attention. The person who added the flying patrols in clearly didnt read the room. But apart from that one extra change and the already broken other stuff, thankfully this patch hasnt been AS bad as others. We can only hope that it keeps getting better, and at this rate, the devs might actually play their own game.

Omg, so the ballistic shield was bugged! I had a terribly embarrassing game where I used it and kept getting killed in the weirdest ways! Glad to know I was genuinely bugged.
Best thing from the new warbond is the booster. It works even better with medic armor so the increased sprint and damage buff for 2 additional seconds.
You would think the mags would be bigger on that new liberator.

If you’re referring to the quad-barreled launcher, that was leaked even earlier than what he’s covering from “Sony’s leak.” He seems to not realize that the text is referring to something different that we have had for a long time, he’s acting like it’s brand new and associated with the quad-barreled launcher when it’s mistakenly captioned. That’s the leak- the photo of the launcher, not the details in the captioned text.

I like the new liberator gun paired with rail gun against bugs. Use stratagem for titans and some times chargers. It just feels fun. Is it meta nah but it feels fuckin great

@@Dare_BustedIm’ll be honest, I perform full clears with my randoms or friends with whatever damn build I wanna use, only problem, using “non-meta” stuff just feels like crawling through mud and the pace feels off. I use a ballistic shield build against bots and a flamethrower build against bugs btw as my standard builds, though I switch up stuff a lot.
@@bradychapman5645That’s kinda not true. If you bring a kit meant for crowd clear and bring no stratagem to deal with heavy units yeah you’re gonna struggle. You have to synergize if you wanna bring off meta weapons or stratagem’s. A lot of times it’s the lack of synergy that screws you over 9/10 times.
This is how it should be. Every weapon and loadout combo be fun for the individual helldiver. Talk yo shit, man.
I always run Grenade Launcher and Supply pack (for bugs), I will usually pair those with the Eagle airstrike and AC turrent (but I'll change those up depending on mission).
That's far from meta but I find it really fun. The grenade launcher is great for horde clearing but it sucks for taking Chargers and Bile Titans, that's where I will rely on the randoms to take them down or I get creative with my strats.
For me that's where the fun really is, I focus on clearing the chaff and calling out the big guys, rearming everyone as needed and being a full team player. I don't always get a good team, but I when I do it feels great. And, yeah if there is no synergy it's a struggle, but for me that's fun too.
Seems like you used an old post about the initial airburst launcher release with a new screenshot of the quad launcher, with none of the footage that's already been leaked. Very odd (longer than it should have been) monologue on how game developers should act coming from a content creator. Not showing patch notes on screen, almost no editing whatsoever - an annoyingly hyped up rant stapled to not even highlight clips of a dive. There's your constructive criticism for the video, I regret clicking on it.

Maybe the spawn changes feel good for terminids, but at least for me, bots feel terrible now. Most of the reason I wanted weapon changes was to deal with the bigger enemies. Now it's just 1,000 Terminators sniping me from all directions.
So I am not the only one who finds bots horrible since the patch.
I swear, I did a diff 7 earlier and got 3 tanks dropped on us JUST AFTER the mission began...
And the ragdoll never felt as horrible as now.

Drop the AT mines and your squad mate is just likely to destroy them after about five seconds with an Eagle Air Strike. The mines are near worthless.

The devs are using "teamwork" as a way to avoid responsibility for their actions. And the whole reason for a Discord server is so that the devs can speak. If we wanted official, sterile, blog/news articles, we would go elsewhere...

The weakness in every Warbond is the fact that ALL AR's suck, and they keep giving us more as if it's going to make us use them lol..

I saw some use this rocket launcher last week. I was stump what it was. I thought maybe they redid the spear but wasn’t sure. Guy was a hacker I guess, but he was taking out gunships left and right.
With his track record and unbelievable lack of PR skills or understanding of his job i really cant understand how Alexus is still employed. Honestly im disappointed severely that he wasn't fired. I wish they would bring back that one community manager and give him the balance job. Or maybe just someone random off the street. Clearly anyone else can do better.
Aim for the chargers legs buddy. Takes about 3 sec for the kill. Aiming for the face will distribute the fire across head, legs, and body as the charger moves. Stay on one leg if ya can!
I love the new patch and yes the spawns are more manageable at least with patrols. I still think that the Bug breach call in time is too short and in higher difficulty it still makes this perpetual bugbreach specially if you are just two players or solo but appart from that they pretty much fixed the game. now if you clear a Map it stays clear and you can actually plan ahead for the extraction and use tactics to have an easy time extracting. Instead of just having the hardest 2 min of battle of your life everytime you activate the beacon.
I think all the ARs need 10 additional damage per shot and 10% more damage to big soft spots on bugs.
Mag dumping doesn’t feel good on any of the medium bugs when using an AR.
All the buffs are cool and it feels good and balanced. But I noticed a bug in the extractor mission where the ship never comes in to get the oil...

I like the liberator carbine, it's very fast to switch targets and the burst function is extremely controllable while still knocking hunters. Yes it burns ammo, but that's half the fun

From what I’ve seen, it’s a laser guided disposable missile launcher based on the M202 FLASH “flamethrower” / rocket launcher.
I just want a dedicated LMG that can be equipped as a primary like I think the stalwart should move from support to primary and keep the MMG's as support weapons
It's Piles that owns the credit. It was all downhill before this (arguably only decent) patch. It's a positive change that happened after he made a big deal of stepping specifically in the creative role.
Stylosa, that is not the AIR BURST Launcher, that if I'm not mistaken is the Commando Rocket Launcher from HD1s. ITS BACK BABY! Quad rapid fire missile launcher, and if I recall they gave it a laser pointer to guide the rockets.
New Spear is very nice, but I was not able to finish a mission with it because it crashes my game 😅 Either when aiming in poor visibility and there is no target in sight or when swapping between Spear - primary - Spear
I didn't hear one word you said about the bug fixes. I was watching that bad ass extraction.
Great patch overall.
But sadly no fix for superior packing and no more shrapnels for the eruptor confirmed (last known issue)
It would be awesome if we could pick knives up after throwing, also wouldn't it be great if they let us use knives as our new melee attack instead of the usual arm punch.

Could sense his ego oozing through eh, but he should talk, in case all the balance actually makes sense and BOOM drops a slapper of a patch and then get the credit. Ppls memory are like goldfish and they forget the bad if they have hope for good things to happen. The last few naysayers will have everyone turn against them if they can’t appreciate improvements.

Its great they took their time for this patch. What annoys me is that people shit on the patch because it didnt fix literally everything and they took their time with it, even though before the same people would say its okay if arrowhead takes their time with patches
I wonder how they will balance The Commando because it competes against EATs and The Spear. Hopefully, they don’t nerf the Commando. Instead buff the other options, reworking EAT to drop a single rocket launcher with 2 rounds and giving the Spear 6 rounds will balance this out better.
Carabine is nice...for 5 and below.
No reason to bring light-armor penetration primaries to 6 and above.
All the buffed statas feel powerfull now tho.
New warbond is pretty fun in my opinion. I really love the new weapons (excluding the knife)! Been using them consistently since the warbond and they're just a lot of fun for me. However I wanted to also comment on the one you saw as an "airburst". Because all the leaks I've seen of this thing just makes it really seem like it's a disposable EAT style weapon that shoots 4 missiles instead 1-2 shots of an EAT drop.
If you put a ping on a throwing knife your helldiver just screams "DANGER"
ARs are in a much better place. The tenderizer is excellent but like all ARs, it needs 50 or more rounds per magazine to be in a perfect place imo
They just need a little more dmg, the liberator pen def needs a dmg buff. I think 70 for the liberator pen and 75 for the normal liberator.
I believe 65 for the liberator, higher capacity compared to the tenderizer
(Ofc the tenderizer should be slightly better)
But setting those up as similar output, different playstyle is the best approach
The lib pen can either go low damage+ many bullets or high damage low+ few bullets. Just give it something!
Tenderizer is still very bad against bugs. IDK how people use it. I have and it suck’s against medium enemies because it runs out of ammo.
@@FazeParticles yea it doesn’t suck, but you feel it does bc it needs way more ammo per magazine. Also if you lag dump it can chew up ammo. I switch to burst fire and find I can manage the limited mag size better. I would like the tenderizer to be medium pen but I would take double the rounds per magazine so it would compete with the sickle

Can we talk about the Ballistic Shield? It's broken and messes with the crouching everytime I've used it it makes me stuck on the ground so I either gotta drop it or spam buttons to make me get up and it's been fuckin me over everytime (I only use it against the Bots because it just makes more sense to me). It needs to be fixed and NOW please

Usually I would comment on a company and not a person, in the case of Alexus not commenting as often, probably a good thing. I doubt many people will forget his 's tier' comment about the polar warbond and it turning out to be one of the worse released to date. AH devs need a bit of a filter (and to clear out a few of the discord mods...) to prevent some of the issues they have caused themselves. So props for the studio seemingly learning a few tough lessons and we still see what the future holds.
Idk what they did this update, but the game is much smoother on Linux now. At least on my PC
The game updated on ps5 about 2 hrs ago. You cannot extract anymore. The lag is insane and you randomly get kicked for no reason.

Used the Commando launcher. Dont get too excited about it. It's not as strong as the EATs or Recoilless. Unless it officially drops with higher damage then it's gonna be disappointing.

I think 60 round smg's would be Great, 30-45 rounds ARs but slower Fire-Rate but Almost twice the bullet damage , personally I 2ant more stuff to spend the credits on , like possibly some type of upgrades for strategems individually
In the first game the liberator carbine had a 70 rounder, probably no way we get that but I can dream

Honestly at this point i don't understand people that say "wishing for Alexus to be fired is bad". Do you wanna chef that gave you food poisoning to still be a chef? Or doctor that gave you wrong prescription to still be a doctor? Guy is objectively bad at his job, he needs to be booted out and do other stuff. He apparently loves his excel sheets so maybe accounting?

@@finlaytemple1744 dunno about harassment. Guy was pretty smug on discord as far as I can remember. And never looked too disturbed by player's dissatisfaction.. My guess that now his job is actually on the line with new CEO actually (hopefully) having some balls to fire people. Hence witch-hunt comment. Guy desperately wants to avoid "it took Pilested to step down to fix Alexus's shit" rep he's currently getting.

And why should he be disturbed by players complaints, it would be pretty concerning if they disturbed him, we literally got a massive patch addressing all the issues people had yet we're still sitting here saying he doesn't care about what the players want? And again the witch hunt comment was entirely accurate, I don't know how much you were following it but people were harassing the guy, spreading misinformation about him, all over a few balance changes, it was disgusting.
And if you really think it's a case of him fearing for his job or something like that I'd also disagree, at this point he apologised and now people still berate him, if he didn't apologise people would complain about that, there is literally nothing the guy can do
@@finlaytemple1744 and to get that big patch we actually have to wait for Pilestedt to control entire balance team personally) I don't believe "he has better things to do" part. Him stepping down and getting directly in fixing game was clearly damage control move. And when majority of customer say "your work sucks" IMO that's the reason to be concerned if you actually care about what you're doing. As for livelihood... I don't think he needs to lose it. Just do something else, not balancing games.

Stylosa, Operation Legitimate Undertaking is the operation that gave us our Airburst Rocket Launcher over a month ago. Someone just edited that post with a screenshot of a datamined weapon currently called the Commando that's been in the game files for months. Make sure you cross check your sources, that "leak" is a stupid edit that's just baiting for clicks and attention.

Haven’t watched the video yet, but I don’t want any more rocket launchers. We already have like 5 launchers in the game. Give me some more creative ways of hitting tanks. I really want the anti tank mines for this reason. We literally have 5 rocket launcher variants already.
Give all ARs quick change clips and add 15 bullets to each. ARs are competing with sickle (90 rounds, 50 dmg, 0 recoil, clean scope, and rounds replenish) make ars on par with the sickle, please. There is zero reason to use any of them other than larping.
Stop balancing around the base lib. Its the entree weapon. It can suck and everything else can be better, & everything will be fine.

sony has always been unreasonable but for the first time a company as large as sony is afraid of the consumer and i think we should go on this journey together i think the devs are great at sailing the waves of producing a game from a g big company, but helldivers is a new experience games like warhammer 40k(being a anti xenos freedom spreading franchise) have failed to make anything close to helldivers but AH have promised us they want to be as big as Blizzard (2000-2009) and they are just starting i think trusting them is the best way to go.
I’m just super annoyed at the recoilless rifle nerf. Like the RR was doing fine, it wasn’t really OP unless you were head shooting chargers, and now it can’t even do that on the behemoths. Why nerf the reload speed? Where was that needed?
