    • @joelliepricefield3469
      @joelliepricefield3469 4 роки тому +6

Yeah, I was really disappointed when this scene, which (for me) was so important and prominent in the book, was cut short in the movie. Then I watched the deleted scenes as I was sure that they at least would add a longer conversation there. When the scene came when Harry entered the office, I was soo excited... but it lasted like what... a few seconds and Dumbledore saying „Come in“?! Wow. I couldn‘t believe it.
That was really the reason why I disliked the 5th film - especially after in GoF, they shortened the scene at the end with Dumbledore and Harry, too. And then in HBP, they again did not show Dumbledore at the Dursleys or in the Broomcupboard. These were really scenes I looked forward to as they would have shown a bit more of their relationship.
But that‘s just my opinion. I know that they cannot adapt everything from the books in the movies and they had to choose. It‘s just that I would have chosen differently or at least would have added it as extended edition.

Your Great Wizarding War radio play series fills a need for a lot of fans and I encourage you to finish it. It's a shame so many of the younger generation to appreciate the almost lost art of radio drama. I'm curious about what is going to happen to Luthor Frumentar. One thing every Dumbledore hater overlooks
Dumbledore said he understood the pain Harry went through. Harry shouts saying he doesn't have a clue. But Dumbledore does...Dumbledore lost his family as well....his father, mother, sister and brother (in a way)....while Harry lost his family because of Voldemort, he felt immense guilt as we saw him speaking to his parents, Sirius and Lupin near the edge if the forest. Dumbledore also lost his family but unlike Harry, he was partly the cause of it. It was due to his actions that Ariana either directly or indirectly died and that Aberforth rejected him. Imagine the guilt he would have felt for the next century of his life.
He dedicated his life to protect people and till his end, like Elphias said, was always ready to extend his hand to anyone. Wherever they came from and whoever they were, just ask Draco Malfoy

This really explains what I've been trying to say to every Dumbledore basher out there, he is indeed flawed and he did so many wrong things but cares for Harry. He really does. Did he do right by him? Maybe not, but he thought he did and maybe that doesnt matter to Harry but it matters when we look at what kind of man he was. I hate the fact that so many in this fandom are throwing Dumbledore under the buss for caring about Harry but glorify Snape for.. Well its debatable, but love for Lily. Both men did wrong because of love, but if you ask me Dumbledore at least tried to be good meanwhile Snape just went around pitying himself because he was friendzoned and because James grew up when he couldnt.

Perhaps one great truth is that we wrong our loved ones when we try too hard to protect them from pain, emphasis on too hard. We end up with emotionally brittle people who can't suffer the slightest disappointment without falling apart.

Yea 100 percent I agree in the beginning snape told voldermort to spare only lily he didn’t give a fuck about her child or James and dumbledore called him out for it saying how he disgusted him for it I don’t hate snape anymore but I still he was a shitbag who did a good thing but doesn’t outweighs the horrible way he treated Harry how much he made suffer and how he spoke terrible things about his dad in front of him knowing how James saved him twice and all the bad things snape did

While this book isn't one of my favorite, this chapter was one of, if not my favorite in the whole series. The anger Harry shows. yelling and throwing things. His anger at Dumbledore. Dumbledore staying calm throughout and explaining everything. And the Dumbledore shedding a tear at the end. Amazing.

He dedicated his life to protect people and till his end, like Elphias said, was always ready to extend his hand to anyone whoever they were, just ask Draco Malfoy

Most important conversating in Harry Potter imo happens in HBP - when Dumbledore makes Harry realise what the prophecy actually is - it's not something that will Harry has to fulfill because the prophecy simply must true, but rather because it stems from Harry's character. It re-contextualises the prophecy, and is easily the most memorable/impactful conversation in the series.

Harry, Ron and Hermione are, in my opinion, the Deathly Hallows.
Harry - Elder Wand - Battle skills, strength and will-power.
Ron - Resurection Stone - Courage and enlightenment during his dark and challenging times; provides encouragement in his quirky way.
Hermione - Invisibility Cloak - Keeping themselves safe using her extensive knowledge on spells and enchantments.
This is how I interpret the Deathly Hallows. Together, they were "Masters of Death".
