YES The dance asmr was perfection in this video!!!!!!!!!!! My fav part was at 1:04 where they stepped out into a wider stance and you can hear a soft "whoosh" bc all of them stepped out so quickly and in sync like UGH HOW???????? svt is just ridiculous like that ig

I think the thing that impresses me the most about Seventeen's choreo is, like you were talking about, how they only ever do the whole "hard-hitting 110% of the time" thing when the song calls for it. While that high energy big-impressive-moves thing is wonderful, Seventeen is really best at perfecting the vibe and telling the story of their song. And the main point I really want to make is that they are masters of subtlety. The small moments in texture changes, the quick understated moves that are sort of a cherry on top to perfect the mood, and even in their slower tracks where they execute simple movements so well..... for a large group and a boy group, they use subtlety as well as some of the top soloists! There's just such artistry in their choreo and amazing attention to detail 😭

1:1 translation of music and choreography makes perfect sense, they're sometimes already thinking of moves during the song production process lol and "competition group that can sing" is such a great description of them ahahaa

My favorite dance ASMR part is exactly when you said that - the movement is so crisp that you can hear their _clothes_ snap. I was gonna mention that an SM choreographer - Mihawk Back, he mainly works with EXO and Kai - contributed to this one since that's pretty unusual for Seventeen and when checking, it looks like that piece of the combo (1:03-1:05) was from him? lol not what I was expecting, but okay then
