This was their idea of "easy" so everyone could follow along so the chorus parts were kept simple lol and it's one of their more playful ones, Wonwoo picks who he "picks up" during his part in the second chorus every time (in the practice it was Dokyeom, in the live performance you watched it was Hoshi) before they go up and they wing it, and during Vernon's part in the third chorus he gets to freestyle and they all follow him. Also one thing I find adorable is that the leaders lead the first section of all the choruses ahahaha
If you remember, Seventeen's "Clap" is supposed to be all about how Seventeen are a self-produced group, so in the MV they are showing how they create everything themselves. In the MV it shows them creating the sets and holding meetings to discuss the production, and editing the video, etc. The lyrics are about how they hope people clap for them and they want to receive a lot of applause, etc. because they put a lot of effort into everything they do. That is also why they created the funny part at the beginning of the dance practice showing them doing everything themselves. But that isn't necessarily how they prepare to film all their dance practices. This dance practice video footage was done special because of the theme of the song.
ahhhh and when they perform this on tour, vernon's ending part (before they all put their hands up) becomes a call & response thing with the choreo hahaha. agree on the sheer versatility and range in their pieces 😌 no one's doing it like SVT
Seventeen is known as one of the industry's only self-produced idol groups. Which means that the members are the ones that create everything themselves, with help and advice from Pledis Entertainment's choreographers, songwriters and rap producers when needed. But everything is pretty much created by the members and the professionals are only consulted or asked to assist to bounce ideas off of and to finetune things, etc. So, the one who choreographed "Clap" -- as well as pretty much all of Seventeen's songs -- was Hoshi, who is the leader of the performance unit (dancers), along with input from the other members of the performance unit -- The8, Jun and Dino. Woozi is the one that writes all of Seventeen's songs, with help from the rest of the vocal unit -- Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, and Seungkwan. And S.Coups, who is the leader of Seventeen and the leader of the hip-hop unit, writes the rap sections with help from the other members of the hip-hop unit -- Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon. Which is pretty much what "Clap" is about. In the MV they are showing how they create everything themselves. If you watch the MV you see how they are creating the sets and holding meetings to discuss the production, and editing the video, etc. The lyrics are about how they hope people clap for them and they want to receive a lot of applause, etc. because they put a lot of effort into everything they do. Pretty much everything you see in the MV is a reference to something from a previous MV or something to do with Seventeen. So, if you really get to know Seventeen as a group, you will start to see how this MV connects to their other MVs. That is also why they created the funny part at the beginning of the dance practice showing them doing everything themselves. But that isn't necessarily how they prepare to film all their dance practices. This dance practice video footage was done special because of the theme of the song. So Seventeen's name comes from the fact that they have 13 members + 3 sub-units (Vocal unit, performance unit and hip-hop unit) + they come together as 1 group =17. Their fandom name is Carats -- like Seventeen carat diamonds. 💍And their symbol is a diamond.
I LOVE WATCHING HOSHI (red hair) DURING THE FIRST CHORUS!!!!!!!! He put sO much energy into that part especially and is like on the verge of doing it messily but he still maintains control beautifully. And ofc even those at the ends of the formation always have their game face on :') imo svt and twice are the 2 groups who really shine in that department -- every member always performs full out even when the spotlight isn't on them.
definitely their best concert song too. the adrenaline surge we get once this shit turn up is incredible. Its also a very interactive (for lack of better word) performance with how much they point at the audience to "clap" and other adlibs that the comments section is pointing out.
I love your Seventeen reactions, you seem to enjoy it sooo much! I always wait for that moment when you like something a lot then you start laughing, as a Carat it makes me so happy to see you having so much fun! 😁😁😁
You much watching their mv choreography and performance of their song "HIT" Its such a masterpiece of choreography perfomance and mv SVT is all definition of Specialized Videotape Technology with the King of Synchronization
A fun fact: the part when one of the members choose one to stand out is random. You can compared the videos and see that he has chosen different members
Seventeen will always be the Kings of Synchronization.... even there simple dances are done so clean. Many do covers songs of kpop and Seventeen is one of hardest to cover because if you don't master the Synchronization it just looks like a mess and disorganized
“Competition level choreography on singers.” And they ask why I am a carat.

easy..?
If this was their idea of easy then in what difficulty am I supposed to be in? Infant?
@@Drae_mon if this was easy then what was super for them 😭
"subtle yet powerful" that is SO SEVENTEEN

it's usually hoshi (he has the highlighter pink hair) and the performance unit. they do have a choreographer, but I think they are mostly support

Right! Svt's choreographies are really interesting and unexpected-they know how to push and pull! I'd be nervous if my team was against them 😅

CLAP is one of my FAVORITES comebacks from Svt
And your first reaction it's exactly how it was for me back then!!
the choreo in the "seventeen right here" part is actually their greeting gesture everytime they introduce or greet people in public as a group!
I love your Seventeen reactions, you seem to enjoy it sooo much! I always wait for that moment when you like something a lot then you start laughing, as a Carat it makes me so happy to see you having so much fun! 😁😁😁

MNET should copy emeroy's criteria in judging for the best dance performance award. Mnet literally just pick who's just popular.
