  • When writing #music, you cannot be limited by software. Nothing can beat the good old pencil and paper. Music Jotter is aware of these limitations, especially when when it comes to #composers like #Chopin. What made Chopin so special? The fact that Chopin used the #tuplet regularly in order to break the rules of the time signature to create poetic works on the piano. He also gave new meaning to the #piano. Before Chopin, the piano was boring, and composers rarely took advantage of its versatility, at least until Chopin came into the picture.
Chopin only lived 39 years, but during those years, he redefined the piano. In today's modern world, we need a software that can also break the rules of the time signature. Music Jotter is very good at "rule breaking". Come find out how Chopin composed music while I tap into his mind and notate some of his difficult works on camera!

Hey, I appreciate it. This video is actually a part of this one: ua-cam.com/video/z3zz3bouevc/v-deo.htmlsi=qZcMxTjojSv0-fuG
But it was way too long, so I split it up and edited it differently for pacing. Thanks for watching!

Assuming this is Zeldz from Young Composers. And of course, thank you as well :-)

    Cool video!
Just thought I should point out, the 11-tuplet you notated at 14'19" should've been a 14-tuplet.
The 14 in the Chopin score looks a bit like an 11: so it's an understandable mistake.

Thanks! And yes you are indeed correct that it is a 14 tuplet, thanks for pointing that out. Chopin had some weird tuplet numbers going on in this Piano Concerto!

    Sibelius is better

It's definitely subjective. I'm quite partial to Chopin because he is an extraordinaire when it comes to melodic composition. Which is why I dedicated this video to him. But Sibelius is cool, too.
