Yep, I had to come back and rewatch these highlights again. Hard to believe this was 9 years ago. Side note, the Ducks played great in their game at Utah this year, winning 35-6.
I always remember this game for that awful injury that Pharoah Brown suffered. Felt awful for him and I really think Oregon missed him down the stretch that season. It actually happens at 19:04 but you have to slow it down.
Who was dumber, Clay for dropping the ball & giving away 7 points to Oregon or the Utah Coach who actually tried a fake punt that led to another 7 points for Oregon.
Yeah I mean you could say Helfrich respected the opponent, or you could say he didn't have the killer instinct. Whittingham ran it up on Oregon a year later without their QB in Eugene and Helfrich got fired.
We Duck fans should have seen the Writing on the wall, but Clay's mistake gave us the game and the illusion that our team had a fighting chance. The Ducks were all downhill from here that season.
I still think Utah wins this game if Clay doesn't drop that ball. They would've had a 14-0 lead with all the momentum, instead it was 7-7 with all the momentum the other way
Clay's f-up gave momentum to Oregon in this game. I could watch him drop the ball over and over. Never gets old. 🤣
And I'm sure he thinks about it to this day. Marcus made them pay too.
Now he is a highlight and self famous for it

I will never forget this game

I’ll never forget this game and that moment from kaelin clay. Who knows how this game would have turned out if it wasn’t for that mistake. Sco ducks!
it's crazy how you can be an NFL hopeful, work your whole life to make it to where you want to be only for your career to be remembered by one play
Aw yes, the Kaelin Clay game! 'Scoooo!
hello there
@@Merino33 what up Merino!!!
"What's goin on on the field?" Famous last words. Never celebrate early against Oregon. They will make you pay dearly.
Oregon still would have won going away but damn...I feel for Clay. That was gonna be a dogfight before that one play.
No.
@@Bleedblue6487 Yeah, Oregon was gonna blow Utah out anyway
Why did he do that?
Damn... Utah really dropped the ball on this game... 😂😂 DROPPED THE BALL!

Actually Helfrich got fired in 2016 and they beat Utah at Utah that year.
lmao the cheering at 6:27 of Utah fans still thinking it was a Utah touchdown 😂🤣💀
😂
god im glad they got rid of this camera angle

Sit down
I mean we didn’t lose a game until the ncg where we were missing half the receivers but ok
