It's not "self righteous"...... He had every damn right to be pissed. I don't know why it is, that every critic and his brother target Malkoviczs character, in this film. He is no worse than th others, and in this scene is in fact entitled to get his cd back. He should have punchd Pitt twice.
I love how the Coen brothers set the music, the cinematography and the direction like a spy/action/thriller film, but the writing, and the constant foolishness and recklessness of the characters, define the film as a comedy…a parody of the spy/thriller genre. It is as if it were to put actual people in a spy/thriller scenario, and not well-crafted characters.
