Great to hear about your round on Friday....well played....also great to hear about your mental change to the game, in terms of accepting the good with the bad....it's a tough game and you should feel proud when you play well rather than get angry when you play bad.... a bad day on the golf course is always better than a good day at work..... I actually used to get angry during a bad round. I never chucked clubs or anything like that, but I would swear and carry on......then one day I had to go through emergency and spent a couple of weeks in hospital and I looked around at the poor buggers that were stuck in hospital or were in serious pain and that's when I stopped misbehaving on the golf course cos I figured I'm out here playing which is a lot better than most. I still get disappointed with bad shots, but I now dismiss them with a laugh or a simple "you idiot" comment....funny thing is I started playing better cos I wasn't angry or pumped up when I walked up to my next shot after a mishit.....sorry for the long reply....one day I will learn to write short answers 😂😜😀 keep enjoying this game👍👍

Wow what a difference in attitude buddy, I think you've finally sussed out this mad mad game we all love and hate in equal measure! The distance between your ears is far more important than length off the tee believe it or not, being able to shrug off a 10 without any drama shows that your not letting the physiological side of the game ruin your confidence. Your great round on Friday has proved to you that you've got the game to hit single figures, patience is the key. It took me a long time to accept that I'm always going to suffer more "turd" rounds than good ones, but I persevered and got down to single figures eventually and I'm sure you will too in time. I also think that not filming any footage on Medal rounds is definitely a good shout and will help you focus totally on your game. Keep up the positivity Kev, it will prove to be far more productive in the long run 👍

Great scoring Kev, 79 is brill.
Im a bit lost as to what your actual club handicap is at the moment though, but I think you're moving in the right direction.
My goal is to get as low as I can, I packed in playing 21 years ago, because I couldn't walk around a course with bad knees. Ive been back playing again for a year and 1/2 after 2 new knee operations, and I love it. Started back with an 18 h/c, and now off 14 (14.1).
Keep at it Kev, Im sure you'll get there.

Great 79 mate, only ever broke 80 once. Terrible 101 but great you can take it on the chin as any bad round is is just around the corner as is a good one. Your putting must have been great on saturday with those stats. GIR was ok. Dave. PS I had a medal on saturday and had a 10 on the 2nd. DOH.

+Dave Patrick Yeh, 79 was ace... 101 was a shocker. Probably the worst I've ever felt on a golf course! 😂

Cracking round Friday mate pulled that out of the bag from somewhere. Good to see you not too down about Saturday's round. Had a similar one myself in the monthly medal shot a 95 so 5 over. Was 2 under after 9 then got a 6 on a par 3 then got a 9 after taking 4 yes 4 shots to get out of a bunker. Followed that up by hitting a cracking wedge to set up a birdie chance on a par 5 only to be told by my playing partner i'd hit his ball by mistake. Wanted to cry but rallied round to make it a bit more respectable it's a cruel game sometimes.

Don’t beat yourself up! I shot an 11 on a par 3 last year and I didn’t even have the pressure of a camera on me 😂
