Decided to get the atomic esc for this car, your the only other person I’ve seen with this setup. Broke the one that came with the xrx......this comes with plugs presoldered?
Yup the esc comes with plugs presoldered on & the atomic sensorless motors come with the matching plug. It’s a super convenient out of the box setup & it performs great for being sensorless
@@matthewpoon5402 I know what you mean, plug & play is a very nice option. I have a full soldering kit but I still prefer to avoid soldering when possible lol
@@GamerFromTheHood 360 shouldn’t be an issue. Try to stick with the skinny long batteries & stay away from the squat fat ones (like e-flight) & you won’t have an issue with space. I always mounted my xrx battery on the top deck, if you do that then you can run a monster battery. Good luck!
That battery might be a little bit but everyone has a unique preference for weight bias & distribution so it might work well for you. Only thing that gives me pause is the 80c discharge rate, mine are all around 35c-40c so I’m not sure if that will impact the ESC. Yup micro JST plug but there are many other there so you have to be careful of the size.
Excellent break down. I agree 100%, at the moment xrx is overall the best chassis for either a beginner or advanced drifter. Easy to build and tune, feels sturdy unlike the GLD, parts are well priced and available everywhere (in China). Steering/sliding rake is the best I’ve seen so far in this scale👌🏾
Thank you brother I appreciate hearing that from you! I agree this is a chassis for both beginners & experts (as you have shown abundantly in the FB groups) & has crazy potential. I just need to become a better driver to get the most out of it!
Hey I want to get into rc drifting and are really confused about all the different cars like all the mini z atomic and more i just want a car that has a lot of customization and upgrade options for the future and isn't a ton of money to get started.
Get yourself an XRX if you want to get into RWD drifting or get a mini-z AWD if you have a tight budget. All the chassis get very expensive once you start to upgrade
The trouble I am having with the XRX DPA is their policy on parts availability. Their online shop is quite the mess and most of the hop ups you're showing here in blue are no longer listed. And those that are, are now silver for some reason. Really a shame. Kinda prevents me from ordering the kit because I am not sure in their parts availability long term.
@@Boomer3k leave me your email address that’s associated with your UA-cam account. I’ll shoot you an email to start & if your serious I can make a quick private video just for you going over the chassis. I’m to the point that I just don’t have time to tune the chassis so it’s just sitting collecting dust… I’ll cut you a nice deal on it with the full electronic (minus receiver)
@@BMR3 Hey, thank you for the offer. But after looking into how our customs office charges extra VAT even on privately sent packages, shipping costs from the US to the EU as well as the parts availability, I think it makes more sense to stick to the locally available chassis (Atomic and GL Racing). Thank you though!
I have the same xrx and I have to say I have the same problem as you with the back wheels rubbing on the link’s and I did the same thing filed them down still rubbing.I have to say I have not been able to get it to work right very poorly engineered junk
Its not junk or poorly engineered, its just meant for wide bodies... I didn't realize that when i got mine but now i know. Its a great platform, you just need to use the correct sized bodies.
Yup it would be awesome & if your really good at coding then it wouldn’t be too hard to map the throttle to a trigger & the steering wheel to a joy stick. Let me know if you end up working on this project, you would be a legend if you could pull it off!
This is fucking sick! Nice review and that’s a bummer the threads are stripped. I just purchased this chassis, hopefully they fix that in my batch? Anyways thanks for the info and option parts added to a expensive cost?
😹 thank you for the support Matthew! Yeah all the additional upgrade parts pushed my cost up a bit but I’m happy with it, the chassis is gorgeous to look at 😻 I think the stripped thread was just a one off QC issue & not something to truly worry about since I haven’t seen anyone else having that issue.
hello i just ordered this kit, i would like to kindly ask you if you can provide link where to get the option parts thx and cool and usefull video cheers from prague
Gotta get the 2.5 deg toe in mount! its crucial my man! Def stables out the chassis and adds more predictable throws. I have some in STOCK over on our website. Send me a DM ill shoot you one on ME for you to check out! Were the USA Distributor :)
Depends on what route you want to go. You can get a FlySky NB4 controller for around $220 & it will come with the receiver. Body will cost you around $50 & will come with matching rims (just make sure they are AWD rims...) The chassis itself will cost anywhere from $150-700 depending on option parts & what electronics you go with.
@@LunarBlues02 yeah there are other options but the flysky is a great bang for your buck. Are you in the Facebook groups? I know there sis budget controller they are using but I don’t remover what it’s called. Yeah I would recommend getting the full esc/gyro option kit since you will need it. But are you sure you want to jump into the deep end for your first RC? These kits are pretty detail intensive & require a lot of fine tuning to get them running properly. I’m sure you can build it but I don’t want to set you up for headaches & frustration... that would defeat the purpose of our hobby, it’s about fun & blowing off steam. There is a little switch on the face of the gyro that you can turn to increase or decrease the gyro gain.
