Old Gordon must be a silent partner in one of the companies who will profit from this idea.
It work tho. What does it matter?
if you really want to restore the lost land , knock out all levees and let nature take its course. that river built this state. let it rebuild the state
Louisiana is free to knock out it's levees.
@@steven4315 they need to
@@christianwolf68 That would make New Orleans a little damp among other places.
I have an idea. Quit building in areas that won’t sustain life. These coastlines have always, and will always, change. Bonus: if you want the marshes to stop vanishing, quit dredging the Mississippi River.
💯🎯
You need to declare it unlivable. Its time!!! No more money sunk into the oviouse sinking areas.
Oviouseley
How about we stop fixing all the problems we cause, so we stop causing problems to begin with? No profit?
If the Louisiana tax payers want to pay for it, go ahead; if you're asking the Federal govt? Maybe not.
Shut up and subsidize deez shores. You will whether you want to or not..so seethe.
There is better civil projects. Terraforming the desert etc.
Who should we believe the scientists who understand the ecosystem, or the politician who operated an illegal waste dump, trucking company/fracking company......🤦♂️. Louisiana croney politics at its best.
Neither there both liars do your own research
@@bennyjames558research is reading what the scientist say soooo.....
@whitewolfsthoughts700 no, research is is observing within your own environment and or studies coming to your own conclusion of the circumstances witch in terms translates to facts not opions you yourself have witness. Scientists aren't the only ones capable of research the average person also conduct his or her own studies without technology at that. Dont be gullible is the moral of the study-_-
@@bennyjames558 so long as it's peer reviewed and uses the scientific method to form a conclusion I'm totally on board. If your definition of "research" is surfing the Internet reading every unsubstantiated opinion then your not really doing any research just exercising confirmation bias. In some cases rocks work, but the soils under those marshlands won't hold up the weight, a little bit of basic knowledge about soils and some common sense from past experience proves that. Those rocks sink the second they hit the sediment, it's simply wasting money...
Yes try it, we have very few options for the coast to rebuild on its own.
We want to know the contract holder
The SHAKE DOWN 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Mangrove plants and wetlands also help protect areas from erosion
This noting new this should have been done since ancient times when New Orleans extended to mobile when train tracks extended from Jacksonville to New Orleans create an ecosystem for animals also, rocks are heavy. They won’t fly in strong storm
YES!!!!
It makes sense
This is a good idea - without climate change . So in reality it is time, effort, money waste
The confinement of the MIssissippi is the demise of South Louisiana. Simple as that. Now that people, like me, have moved into the "stabilized" flood plains any major breach or removal of the levee system will ultimately destroy any infrastructure, building, homes, etc., that exist here. Billion to trillions of dollars lost and people have to resettle further North. The majority of us live a simple existence, not wealthy by any means, but love the state and a life that usually doesn't involve the hectic pace of the cities. All of that will disappear and we just don't have the finances to start lives elsewhere. But for the rebuilding of the marsh and swamps? It would be an incredible sight, and study, to witness it slowly get back to what it once was as the great Mississippi River deposits the desperately needed sediment.
*ROCKS!*
I like it.
Its only going to get worse.
That's there infrastructure plan funny money
They choose to live by the shore. If it goes in the ocean then thats their own damn fault. American needs to fix itst priority with sheds as homes and business now. 😂
Anyone who thinks this is a good idea is making money.
