  • Jeep has unveiled its latest innovation, the Jeep Avenger 4xe, designed to enhance fun and freedom with its all-wheel drive capability. This new model promises to blend Jeep’s off-road heritage with modern hybrid technology, making it a compelling option for adventure enthusiasts.
At the heart of the Avenger 4xe is a 1.2-liter gasoline engine, featuring mild-hybrid technology. This three-cylinder turbo engine produces 136 horsepower, channeled through a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Complementing the internal combustion engine (ICE) are two electric motors, positioned at the front and rear, each generating 28 horsepower. This setup allows the Avenger 4xe to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in nine and a half seconds, reaching a top speed of 121 mph.
One of the standout features of the Avenger 4xe is its intelligent drivetrain. Up to speeds of 19 mph, the vehicle operates in 4x4 mode with a 50:50 power split between the axles. Between 19 and 56 mph, it defaults to front-wheel drive, with the rear motor ready to engage when needed. Above 56 mph, the rear motor disengages to optimize fuel efficiency.
The 4xe model also offers enhanced off-road capabilities. It boasts a multi-link rear suspension, an increased ground clearance of 8.26 inches, and improved approach, departure, and breakover angles. It can ford water up to 15.75 inches deep, and drivers can choose from Snow, Sand & Mud, Sport, and Auto driving modes. Optional all-terrain tires further enhance its rough terrain performance.
Visually, the Avenger 4xe stands out with rugged bumpers featuring a scratch-resistant finish, standard roof rails, and a rear tow hitch. The interior is equally robust, with waterproof upholstery that is twice as durable as before and specially coated seats for easy stain and mud removal.
While the Jeep Avenger 4xe is not destined for the American market, it will be available in Europe later this year. It joins the existing mild-hybrid and purely electric Avenger variants, which are front-wheel drive only. This new model is set to offer a unique blend of performance, versatility, and durability for those seeking adventure on and off the road.

Very expensive for a very ordinary car. Shop around you can get better value for your money and better build quality.

Well, my 98 XJ had 304,000 ,iles on it when we gave it to our son. Our 06 Grand Cherokee had 297,000 miles when we bpught our 09 Liberty.
Currently, the Liberty has 185,000 miles. My wife's '19 Cherokee Trailhawk has 41,000 miles (thanks to COVID) and her now working from home 90% of the time.
