I just want you to know I'm currently an engineer student at Michigan State, and you are a better teacher than my calc teacher by far. You have saved my ass the night before an exam more than once haha thanks
wow thank you! i'm not a certified teacher; i've only ever tutored, and i'm not tutoring now because i'm putting as much time into integralCALC as i can. :) before we schedule a pow date, i should figure out if i can even do these problems! reading the pow website i feel like i'm watching good will hunting... what an awesome tradition you guys have going!! :)
Thank you so much for this video!!! My calculus teacher only briefly went over polar coordinates so I never was able to get an in depth session to learn about how to graph a polar curve using the cartesian curve and I have a test tomorrow morning. I was searching for a way to help and I found this. So thank you so much, I really kind of get it more now!!!
Thanks you explained something that my teacher and a lot of other videos on youtube weren't making clear for me. Going backwards distances is really what threw me off but you cleared that up for me!
Finally, I got it in 6min while home and refreshment on a side. I was doing a trip to college, wasting time and...Moreover, I do not know how they hire a teacher who's English is so weak? Anyway, thanks a lot Krista Queen.
I think both the 2 graphs are wrong. (1) because r cannot be negative, so [pi/2, 3pi/2] should be excluded in the 1st graph on the left, (2) the 1st graph shows that for each value of angle, there is only ONE value of r, but the 2nd graph on the right show that for each angle, there are two values of r. so the two graphs do not match.
@@kristakingmath mam now u r my fav teacher.i am very happy to have as u my teacher, am in BS math , and each topic is clear in my mind when i watch ur lecture, , tahnks a lot for helping in my studies, good day bye
IntegralCALC, you're a true diamond in the rough (and yes, this adulation is coming from a Purdue engineer)! Your calculus tutorials are a vanguard in higher math education.....just curious, do you teach mathematics as a career, or do you tutor? Purdue's Math Dept sponsors a "Problem of the Week" semester series every school year.....would so love to have a POW date with you, just as long as it's not during Purdue/Norte Dame game weekend ;)
Thank you! Geez, I was just looking for simple cartesion to polar graphs tutorials and all my entries came up with symmetry tests which I dont need yet

This is exactly the solution I was looking for from the Calculus textbook in chapter 10.3. thank you from hong kong
I wouldn't have passed calc 1 & 2 without you and your videos! You truly have a gift in teaching. Thank you so much!
I'm so glad I could help along the way! :D
Hello Krista, it was so knowledgeable to me how to draw cardioid. Thanks Krista
Thanks a million...You're the best teacher I've ever seen...So Amazing :))))))
Glad you liked it! :)

+Maria Boucher I'm so glad I could help! Good luck on your test tomorrow!

Awesome! I'm so glad it makes sense now!
You're welcome! :)

right back at ya! :)
You are amazing, and the videos are Improving my grades!!! Currently in Calc III thanks to all your videos
I'm so glad they've been able to help along the way! Thanks for letting me know. :)
thanks krista a lot it helps me a lot ...thanks thanks a lot...
further pure maths exam tomorrow, this is saving my life hahaha thanks!
Good luck tomorrow! :)
Thanks! :) Loads of your videos have helped so much
thank you so much
@Kristakingmath, Is my intuition right? the trace lines of Cartesian curve and polar curve be of same length in precise.
Yes! They would have the same arc length. 🤓
Wow, that's pretty hard stuff but thanks for helping!

Thnks mam am from pakistan but ur teaching method is very well
Thank you, Mahrukh, I appreciate that! :)

+mwangasama You're welcome, I'm glad this helped!
+CalculusExpert.com btw, are you a classroom instructor? If not, you should consider it.
+mwangasama I'm not, and I wouldn't want to be. I love what I do now too much!
Great Video :D thanx
Lol you used the same graph that's in my problem. Really helped!
These polar curves get re-used a lot... I'm so glad it helped! :D
Watch again, that is not the x-axis, it's the (pi)-axis and it's positive going to the left, so negative 2 is to the right.
thanks
You're welcome!
thnx
This is useful; and you have a rich channel ; I am a subsriber
Yay! Thanks for subscribing! :)
sorry I mean You have rich channel; there is a lot to learn from, Thanks for your helpful effort
