Both, they are both the same case with the different front panels installed. You can choose whether to put the plastic or mesh front one as they both come with the case. The plastic looks better but reduces the airflow massively so you should just use the mesh panel with this case. So in the charts the H500 Mesh is what you should be looking at.
I bought this case for a new build recently. I thought it looked great, and appreciated the complete mesh front panel for better cooling performance. I now realize that this was pretty much designed by your channel, and just want to thank you for that.
Been looking for a new case for a while now and after coming across this review by GN I decided to buy it. I have no regrets with purchasing this case whatsoever. Building in it was fun, it looks great and keeps my temps low!
I bought this case in early 2020, just before the price hikes caused by the human malware. I live in Mexico, and finding good airflow cases for reasonable prices is usually really hard. bought this for about 90 Dollars (2000 MXN pesos) at the time from Amazon Mexico, and is one of the best purchases I've ever made. I had already seen Steve's review of this and was convinced that it was probably one of the best high airflow cases price to performance. I would like to thank Gamers Nexus for all the effort they put in their hardware reviews as it led me to make an excellent purchase that I'm very happy with. Keep up the good work guys, I watch all of your videos. :)

neat, it can also be good to have a capturecard or audiocard in the vertical slot so it doesnt block a fan on the Graficscard, i put my audiocard as low into my case so it doesnt block the fans :-)
Great review... I've got this case coming in a week or so for a new build and this is EXACTLY what I want to hear. I like the fact you got on with the demo with little to no buff in between... really informative and makes me feel pleased that I've chosen this case. Looks quite the beast.
Ive got this case and it is really good, great airflow and quiet easy to build in, also it looks very premium with the glass and there are 3 fans included 2x 200mm ones and 1x 120 mm in the rear. They are all very quiet and have great airflow.
I watched this video a few days ago and you had a lot of nice things to say about it. I since bought the case and I think it's much better than I expected. I expected flimsier sheet metal. I expected cheaper feeling plastics. I expected this because it's a cheaper case. I was considering buying a much more expensive case but I'm glad I didn't. I think this case feels quite well built. As for the noise and cooling, I bought this for the cooling. I do blender renders on two gpus. My system in its old case was cooked. If I was going to spend money on something new, air flow was king. However to my surprise if I crank all of the PMW fans down it's pretty damn quiet. I'm not sure how quiet a 'noise reduction' case is, but I can't imagine it being much better than this. I have the 200mm fans running on low pretty much always. I replaced the rear fan with a noctua pmw fan. The stock fan pushed some good air but I could hear that sort of sporadic sound you hear with cheap fans. Lastly as part of this overhaul of my system I ditched the stock intel heatsink and put a noctua NH-U9S on it, plus a second 92mm fan. I love this set up, it's just great for me. I spend 8 hours a day working remote writing code with a team. At night I'm either gaming, developing in unity or animating in blender. So I really feel like I have the best of both worlds now. A quiet system most of the time, and something that I can crank way up when needed. This case is huge. I thought I was getting a medium case for some reason. It's large to me and I really like that. I appreciate the handle. My last case was such a pain to take out to the porch for a dusting. For some reason I thought it came with a GPU anti-sag post but it didn't. I also though it came with a single vertical pci-e slot because many photos show this, including the amazon listing. But it doesn't. It must be a refresh version. The only con worth mentioning is I wish there was an option for a stack of hard drives right at the front. There is plenty of space for it which is otherwise unused. If this had an optional hard drive rack I would buy a second one for my server/nas.
Very useful feedback, thank you. Even in 2023 I'm considering buying this case if only because it's difficult to find highly reviewed cases in my country. Your personal review definitely helps.
Thanks Steve for doing this review, I have been running this case for a little over 6 months now with a 2700X and 1080Ti (all Air cooled) and it sits around 40Db @ 42C during norman use and 55Db @ 50C under typical 1080p gaming modes. A super case and great price, you were bang on the money with this review. ☺
after watching Gamer Nexus videos for days, finally figuring out the differences of these H500 cases, i feel like a decent case purchaser now. Thank you GN!
Had this case for two years now. Not sure why I'm watching this. lol Just popped up on my feed, so here I am. Ain't gonna lie, this case has been excellent. I wanted to grab the H500M, but here in Canada that's closer to $300 than the $130 for the H500. Never tried it with the acrylic panel on the front. Seemed a no-brainer that it would cut down on airflow, and defeat the purpose of having the large fans on the front. This case, with my somewhat meager experience, is top on my list. I really like the looks of the H500M, I just can't justify spending that much on it--not just to my wife, but myself as well. haha
This review got me to buy this in 2020 for my first all new build since 2010. I was still rocking an Antec 900 and 1055t and moved to a 3700x and rx580. Since upgraded the last year or so to a 5800X3D and 3080. Still a great case, and I love the airflow and sort of HAF X style I liked as a kid.
The front fans on this case are drastically blocked by the chassis. About 1/2 of the blades from the tip inward are blocked about 3/4 of the rotation. This is where most of the fans performance comes from since the speed of the blades are faster as you move out from the center. I cut the chassis to match the fans and reduced CPU and GPU temps by 4C.
This Thermal Grizzly ad literally just reminded me I have to go to the post office to pick up my package with Cryonaut and Conductonaut! Thank you Gamer's Jesu- I mean Nexus!
Thanks ! I couldn't decide between 3 other cases , now thanks to this video , i dropped those 3 , and just bought this one ! Great case ! I only hope my 240mm radiator will fit in the top ( push/pull )
Only thing I don't like is the removal of the top shroud where you could tuck the fans away for a top mounted rad. Given that your testing showed that as the optimal configuration for the H500p, and that top shroud is a feature on the H500M as well it seems to be a loss in performance is you wanted to use this case for water cooling.
I disagree. If you look at the case it's really easy to notice "Oh it's one of those cases" since they all look fairly similar, so naming it something else would actually just be more confusing.
Yeah, I see what you mean. Marketing is not my profession, so I am sure there is a good reason they are going with the names they chose. What I meant with the name thing is that they could have done something similar to what the GPU manufacturers did for a while and have something like a H509 or H590 for the high-end case, and something like H505 or H550 for the mid tier one. Channels like Gamers Nexus and others do a good job of removing any naming confusion through their reviews, and you should look up reviews for products like cases since many do not replace them through several computer refreshes. Honestly as long as Cooler Master stays away from having two different products with the same name (I'm looking at you GT 1030) the name does not matter.
Had a HAF XM with the dip thing with a rubber take out floor. Used it to store USB with programs installed on them. Got this case and still use it to store usb sticks with Bio and Programs updates of I have to rebuild my PC. Users will very.
This looks like a true successor to my HAF 932 Black Edition. If I was building today I would be looking at this case. I went with a fractal design Meshify C as I was looking to downsize slightly but that was not a priority, and this was not available at the time.
Got one of these cases for a pretty hefty build after absolutely mangling a much cheaper case due to my AIO rad not fitting. I do not regret the purchase at all. Probably my favorite case I've ever owned. I wanted a Fractal Designs case at first, but it was pretty expensive. This was such a good deal and I love the features and look. Would highly recommend.
I was watching a newer case review and have been looking for this specific video from you because I have this exact Cooler Master case. I love it, and the only change I'm considering is the potential replacement of the two 200mm fans with three 120mm fans to match the other 3 and potentially increase my air flow. Honestly, though, I really do love this case and it was a great build experience.
Tim Bowes I think so. I have this case, and replaced them with 120mm Noctuas. I also replaced the existing 120 and occupied the top with two 140s, both intake, set to half and one quarter speeds (to not mess with airflow and not draw hot air up into my cpu cooler from my gpu) Also put in a nh-d15 (before I messed with the case fans). Amazing results. The only thing I hear is my gpu
5P1T4 because about 1/3 of the 200mm fans are obstructed. And they have poor static pressure. Just my opinion of course, I have seen very good results.
I like that you give credit to Patrick for his build notes. Maybe its on purpose, or not, but either way its a sign of a good boss to give credit to his team!
I really can't give up the esthetics of an acrylic front. So I just went with a case that has a top fan mount option toward the front of the case and made it an INTAKE (the top fan ends exactly where the CPU cooler fan starts). After doing that, my temps averaged 8-11degrees lower! (8 GPU, 11 CPU) The case is Cougar mx350 BTW.
I assumed you have received it how is it, I was contemplating on whether i should buy from newegg or amazon( newegg beong cheaper) but i was wondering if the case from newegg was not good quality how is it
Good report! This case is similar to my very large Graphite Series Corsair 600T ATX case which was launched in 2010 but I bought direct from them in a Dec., 2016 clearance sale for about $100 vs base list price of about $170.. I wanted the case mostly to hold several 3.5" drives in a raid configuration, and didn't realize all the extras it came with until later. It has two front 200 mm fans with white LED lights front and two 200 mm fans on top also with mesh. It has a mesh side panel or you could have gotten the base unit with a solid side or a glass window which is still available as an option. There is also a mesh bottom filter. Filters are on top, and front and bottom. Mine also had TWO drive cages. Even the front drive plates are mesh. There is no power supply shroud, so the entire inside is open. Both side panels are steel and have easy to open latches for removal. I think this was an upgraded demo unit because it has more fans and other components than the stock cases. The only disadvantage is the front panel is only USB 2.0 with a single USB 3.0 port that can only connect to an external USB 3.0 port in the back via a long cable. Cable management is also excellent similar to the case you are reviewing. This case was apparently one of the first where Corsair added many cable rubber ports. I monitor temps on this Z370 i8700K build with the NZXT utility CAM and temp ranges from 34 to 85 if rendering video. Fans run at 2000 unless rendering when they could go to 3000 or 4000 rpm. It seems my case was a good deal with the upgrades and mesh all around without any air blocking glass on it. This case you are reviewing seems to be a return to this type of design that works well if you like BIG cases.
..i bought this case and i also bought noctula 200mm fans to replace the fans that came with the case but the holes in the noctula fans for the screws wont line up with the case ..its very disappointing ..
Looking at 7:00, at the 200m fans infront of the 120/140mm mount... isn't that a bit silly? doesn't the 200m fan effectively become a 140mm fan if most of it's fast moving outer diameter is occluded behind steel mounts?
I think so. I have this case, and replaced them with 120mm Noctuas. I also replaced the existing 120 and occupied the top with two 140s set to half and one quarter speeds (to not mess with airflow) Also put in a nh-d15. Amazing results. The only thing I hear is my gpu
The questions I would have, would be for the ARGB fans that come stock. 1.) How many 200mm fans come installed? 2.) What are the max RPM for the 120mm and 200mm stock fans? 3.) If I were to replace the ARGB 200mm fans with aftermarket fans, would the holes for the screws line up, or would they be like previous CM HAF cases and not line up?
I’m looking to buy a new PC and this case caught my eyes, I enjoy the appearance and the price point. I am wondering if it will feel crowded with an i7-10700k, rtx 2080 super, and dark rock pro 4 fan.
I don’t think you would have any issues. I only have 5700xt but there is miles of space around it. Also I have the Noctua nh-d15, it’s close the glass but clears it by 5mm or so (guess)
I just swapped to this case today and it's pretty roomy. I have the NHD15 which by itself is sometimes annoying to work around but I was able to manage without taking it off. I also have an RTX 2080 which should be similar size as yours. No problems.
It's like CM finally got the H500P right and now they are just making different variants to suit different pricepoints and sizes. Really similar to the old HAF series with the 200mm fans it's basic LED implementations back in it's day. They found something that people really liked and beat it to death until almost everyone had some sort of form of the HAF. The last case I was using before my current Lian Li O11 Dynamic was actually a CM HAF 932. I used that beast for over 4 years. Now they have the modern H500 series with tempered glass and the ability to RGBify the hell out out of it. Same shit, different era. If you have a drum that works, beat it to death and make money while you can I guess.
Was looking for a new case and it came down to this or the Meshify C. Ended up going with this for the larger interior being easier to work in and those ridiculous included fans with great out of the box performance.
I bought this case a few days after this review went up for 100$. I love it, it has been the greatest case to build in and keep clean. I love it so much I talked all my non-techy friends into buying it for their builds and I sleep sound every night knowing that all of our components are all breathing easy. And yes, I told all of them to throw away the stupid optional acrylic cover.
I know GN is reluctant to throw around superlatives but based on the charts isn't the H500 the best case they've reviewed for cooling in quite a while, excluding the test bench? If that's true at $100 CM has a big hit on their hands.
Ken Shaw that's what I was thinking, this case really does earn the name "cooler master". I'm wanting to upgrade from my S340 one of these days with one of the major things I'm wanting being proper high airflow to give me tangible drops in temperature. Looks like this case is on the list.
Doomguy you csn make the s340 have good airflow. Remove front metal from the plastic, make some brackets to attach it to the metal side panels(i just used really thin spring steel scrap) with about 0.8" of a gap at the front along the sides. Now my case flows like theres no front panel at all. Throe that plastic in the garbage lol it blocks airflow
0xsergy airflow isn't the only thing I'm after, and I'm uninterested in making my case look like it was ghetto modded lol (nor can I bothered doing it). Would rather just buy a new chassis and sell the S340 to someone who wants a used case on the cheap.
Doomguy its only ghetto if you suck at it lol you gotta add thr time in to move all the components to a new case too. Mod took me 1 hr vs severalhours of putting a pc together.
The cable management in these videos really makes me appreciate my NZXT S340 Elite. While these is nothing strictly wrong with the cable management system here, I have grown to love the little piping channels. Really makes it flow nicely. Perhaps a little ridged in a certain sense, but still a big fan
Its good to see how Cooler Master stepped up a lot this last year. The $100 segment is extremely stacked, but for GPU thermals this looks to be the best stock product right now. Add an option for a steel side panel with fan mount and you have a new cooling reference product like the HAF used to be.
@@GreatUchiha123 Well you need to use the rgb controller the case came with and hook up the fans to that, or if your mother board supports it hook it up to that directly and download the software from their website to control it through software
This was the runner up when I choose my new case. I ended up going with an Anidees case. The reason it lost is this is a tall case. And those ports on top would be a long reach for me at my desk (desk top mounted puter). If it was forward facing, it would be basically perfect.
Great to hear the improvements that Cooler Master has made. I hope it's a trend all of the major manufacturers follow. I seem to recall a video where Steve mentions that an overclocked GTX 1070 ti can see performance close to an overclocked GTX 1080 but can't remember which one it was. I wanted to confirm that I wasn't just hearing things. Does anybody remember this video?
I got an old Digital Storm case that has the Single 200mm fan on the top towards the bad of the case. I like how quiet the large fan is and how much warm air it pulls out of the pc. looking forward to upgrading to this pc case. This case is going to get my Noctua badge I have sitting in my desk, because its gonna have the NH-D15 in it.
I would really love to see an ITX version of the h500p mesh. Also I would really like an overclocking session with the gt 1030 with custom cooling.( I don't know why)
I'm confused, you want an it version of the h500p? What makes this case special (mainly) are the 2 200 millimeter fans, how will you fit 2 of those on the front of an itx case?
Biggest let down to this case is how easily dust gets stuck in it. My mate had a PC in his living room for about 1-2 years, offered to use my new blowing tool on it and we opened it to barely anything. (No idea what case my mate has) I clean this case at least once a month. Also the screws for the side glass are a nightmare to fit perfectly from time to time. Mainly bought the H500 for size, fans and carry handle.
ended up buying the H500 after doing some research and watching this video as my first Pc build case. of course im going to have friends and stuff who have built pcs before help out but thanks to this video i am an owner of the Cooler master H500
> we can't complain about how bad it is for air-cooled cards, because they don't fit! Is that a challenge? _Unsheathes GALAX GTX 1070 Katana and points menacingly_
Really late but 2080ti wouldn't fit in this case? I own the evga xc ultra and really like the airflow/cost of this case but i'd be pissed if i had it shipped and it didnt fit. However looking at other pics it looks like it would.
Just bought one, the power supply shroud has slots perfect for cable management that I accidentally slotted through, the front glass is hard to install, and the rear panel is cramped, and it looks a little... cheap and sketchy? But the 200mm front fans are great
The biggest issue I've always had with Cooler Master cases is that gawd awful logo, it looks like it belongs on some bargain bin product that either no ones heard of before and/or is still hanging onto the 90s, IMO they should invest in designing a stylised logo that has a sleeker look. They're far from the only brand that suffers from this too but they are the ones that stand out the most to me, something elegant like Fractals or a simple recognisable design like Bitfenix or, dare I say, Razer would be much more appealing IMO.
I agree and I have an H500P Mesh right beside me lol. It looks like something that would be more fitting on a pair of skate shoes than a technology product.
The H500 officially supports 2 x 140mm fans on the top, but radiator support on top is only up to 240mm, not 280mm. According to someone from CM, the H500 unofficially supports 280mm rads depending on the motherboard, I wonder why that is..
I have purchased 2 of these cases (H500)... I can say the first one I did was one of the easier/cleaner builds I have done. I am still awaiting for the second to arrive....
The price has been raised to $119 everywhere I've checked online (amazon, microcenter, newegg) At $119, this isn't worth it to me. I should have grabbed it at $90 a few months ago
I had built my current rig in the master lite 5 rgb and that case had horrible thermals. Immediately after I bought this case to swap my system into. This thing is amazing at thermals. My only complaint is how visible the wires are coming from the front IO.
I like it but not the top its got that hump like thing for a handle but like the white mesh case but in black if they make one. Also like the 500m glass but not the glass for the side panel where it shows all the wires that should of been a steel panel

I actually think this is the better looking coolermaster h500 case, less plastic, more functional, thumbs up for me.
Both, they are both the same case with the different front panels installed. You can choose whether to put the plastic or mesh front one as they both come with the case. The plastic looks better but reduces the airflow massively so you should just use the mesh panel with this case. So in the charts the H500 Mesh is what you should be looking at.
Is the airflow good??
Yes the air flow is good

@prunn "SHOWIN OFF MY GT610!!!!"
The changes to this case are nice, and the price cut is a good call. I might even buy one.
Cat for scale.

Its 5:30 Am and theres nothing better for me to do, so ill watch this case video despite not needing a case.
Funny how Steve struggled to not say "I recommend it" and always went with "not have a ton of problems with it" :D
As expected of a true tsundere
after watching Gamer Nexus videos for days, finally figuring out the differences of these H500 cases, i feel like a decent case purchaser now.
I really like the looks of the H500M, I just can't justify spending that much on it--not just to my wife, but myself as well. haha
Very happy you guys did this review! Will be getting this case instead of the h500 mesh. Thanks GN!
Bought this today. Thanks for the review. Yours plus others made this a no brainer over the H500i I was considering. Great value and great air flow.
I'm looking into buying this case too. How's the noise of the fans?
Not bad at all. Was very pleased.
@@NewTeezy alright, thanks!
I also have this case and have thought about removing the 200mm fans, and putting in triple 120mm fans in front.
This Thermal Grizzly ad literally just reminded me I have to go to the post office to pick up my package with Cryonaut and Conductonaut! Thank you Gamer's Jesu- I mean Nexus!
Just what i was looking for to update the 922, been a CoolerMaster fan for years!
Thanks ! I couldn't decide between 3 other cases , now thanks to this video , i dropped those 3 , and just bought this one !
Great case ! I only hope my 240mm radiator will fit in the top ( push/pull )
"We dont have much problems with it" - Steve ❤️❤️❤️
Love, how you add the small kitty in the shots - beautiful 😍
Bought parts for my first build ever! And this case looks so sick!
They should have used something else besides H500 for the name. They are getting towards Razer/Nvidia/Nintendo levels of confusing product names.
Just bought this case. Happy so far.
Had a HAF XM with the dip thing with a rubber take out floor. Used it to store USB with programs installed on them. Got this case and still use it to store usb sticks with Bio and Programs updates of I have to rebuild my PC.
Users will very.
0:49 I had my Kryonaut package (just like the one here) sitting on my desk when I watched this video
Why would you do that?
This is what I asked for, the front to be mesh. I learned my lesson from my first pc, InWin
I really can't give up the esthetics of an acrylic front. So I just went with a case that has a top fan mount option toward the front of the case and made it an INTAKE (the top fan ends exactly where the CPU cooler fan starts). After doing that, my temps averaged 8-11degrees lower! (8 GPU, 11 CPU)
The case is Cougar mx350 BTW.
Mine delivers tomorrow! $89 on sale at Newegg
I assumed you have received it how is it, I was contemplating on whether i should buy from newegg or amazon( newegg beong cheaper) but i was wondering if the case from newegg was not good quality how is it
The case and their 650psu 80plat with angle adapter for cords was at $129 on cyber monday last year when i bought mine
This one seems like the way to go. Imo looks cleaner and less BS. Great review as usual!
Bought this from eBay for about $70 open box, and it's big but very functional. Plenty of ventilation, and it looks good.
I'm only into mid towers and mITX cases, but I'll watch any video Steve throws out... even if he decides to showcase some vacuum cleaner.
I just did a build using the CM TD500 mesh. It has a lot of really neat angles in the front panel, and some neat cuts into the glass side.
This case you are reviewing seems to be a return to this type of design that works well if you like BIG cases.
owned a CM690 for like 6 years, its great, love it. deffy going CoolerMaster next time i need a case
..i bought this case and i also bought noctula 200mm fans to replace the fans that came with the case but the holes in the noctula fans for the screws wont line up with the case ..its very disappointing ..
3.) If I were to replace the ARGB 200mm fans with aftermarket fans, would the holes for the screws line up, or would they be like previous CM HAF cases and not line up?
this is probably the best case of the year and so far 2019...
then BOOM P400A comes in
Noel What makes that so much better?
Until you actually build in it and realise that its a horrible case to work in unless you have a bare essentials build with virtually nothing extra.
@@coololly yup that's why I went with the H500p mesh
It's weird seeing such a large case just lacking in storage options. Only two cage drives and two ssd mounts. Where are they so stingy. Great review!
Top Panel or that "Handle" is removable via 2 screw and you have USB Hub Motherboard on that who also are protected around with dark grey sponge.
I think the flat head screws look nice, awesome looking case! Appreciate the review
Now we really need to compare the CM H500 vs Meshify C vs RL06. all around 100$ (if we add +vent to meshify).
Man, i love the modem sounds at the end of your vids!
I just wish there was a radiator that fit those dual 200mm front fans.
Doomguy its only ghetto if you suck at it lol you gotta add thr time in to move all the components to a new case too. Mod took me 1 hr vs severalhours of putting a pc together.
Now _this_ is the case I've been waiting for!
Got this case for $80 late 2018. It's awesome.
Just got it for my new system on sale for 100 bucks, can't wait. All I need now is a 3080
Update: I did get a 3080 bye, Zotac Holo Amp and it was t the scalper edition
@@RegularDudeInTraffic Do you know by any chance how to control the rgb fans?
@@GreatUchiha123 Well you need to use the rgb controller the case came with and hook up the fans to that, or if your mother board supports it hook it up to that directly and download the software from their website to control it through software
My local retailer Smart Computers are recommending this case for a build with an RTX 2080. This case looks really cool!
have had this case with a 3070 n 5800x it’s still awesome. 2 years owner.
The top "personal belonging" slot and the tabs in the front mesh remind me of the old Cooler Master cases like the 690 III I'm using now.
Just built a new PC using this case. Love it!
I would really love to see an ITX version of the h500p mesh. Also I would really like an overclocking session with the gt 1030 with custom cooling.( I don't know why)
coolnick tech Imagine the lack of airflow in an it h500p not mesh version
I'm confused, you want an it version of the h500p? What makes this case special (mainly) are the 2 200 millimeter fans, how will you fit 2 of those on the front of an itx case?
Iwo Ruuzz why not use one 200mm fan on the front. I just like the looks of the case.
You're looking for thermaltake core v1
Biggest let down to this case is how easily dust gets stuck in it. My mate had a PC in his living room for about 1-2 years, offered to use my new blowing tool on it and we opened it to barely anything. (No idea what case my mate has) I clean this case at least once a month. Also the screws for the side glass are a nightmare to fit perfectly from time to time. Mainly bought the H500 for size, fans and carry handle.
i went from my previous case to this with the mesh front and dropped 10°C all around, im pretty happy with that.
KingHoliday how did you change the front panel?
ended up buying the H500 after doing some research and watching this video as my first Pc build case. of course im going to have friends and stuff who have built pcs before help out but thanks to this video i am an owner of the Cooler master H500

Really late but 2080ti wouldn't fit in this case? I own the evga xc ultra and really like the airflow/cost of this case but i'd be pissed if i had it shipped and it didnt fit. However looking at other pics it looks like it would.

Thank you for the review. I'll be using it with mesh for sure. Why torture the build for a bit of better look
Great vid and extremely tempted to buy this case
this case still a good option in 2020?
Weaver Games omg "skate shoes" nails it! i feel nostalgic. you made the logo go from cringe to "retro" in my mind. sweet.
That is the reason I just bought a Fractal Design Meshify C instead of this Coolermaster H500. Those 200mm fans look so cool though.
I bought the Cm 690 3 and the plastic locks and brackets were so brittle. They'd just break with the least amount of force applied.
i know its petty but that logo is the reason why i didn't consider buying cooler master cases...they need a better logo.
The H500 officially supports 2 x 140mm fans on the top, but radiator support on top is only up to 240mm, not 280mm. According to someone from CM, the H500 unofficially supports 280mm rads depending on the motherboard, I wonder why that is..
community.coolermaster.com/topic/24187-h500m-top-mount-280mm-aio-rad-wont-fit/ I had the same question.
Love the graphs. Thank you very much for this, i will probably buy one !
I have purchased 2 of these cases (H500)... I can say the first one I did was one of the easier/cleaner builds I have done. I am still awaiting for the second to arrive....
The vertical GPU mount causes problem, even watercooled cards have 2 rows of outputs, so it would only fit something like a 1030
I wish there was a steel side panel option for this case, but oh well, it's good to see lots of good options on the case market.
I wonder if using 2x 200 noctua would pimp it
The price has been raised to $119 everywhere I've checked online (amazon, microcenter, newegg) At $119, this isn't worth it to me. I should have grabbed it at $90 a few months ago
What about h510 nzxt? Still solid
My old rosewill stealth had pop out dust filters, they were amazing
I had built my current rig in the master lite 5 rgb and that case had horrible thermals. Immediately after I bought this case to swap my system into. This thing is amazing at thermals. My only complaint is how visible the wires are coming from the front IO.
thanks for the detailed review. I picked one up based on it and it's a nice case.
I like it but not the top its got that hump like thing for a handle but like the white mesh case but in black if they make one. Also like the 500m glass but not the glass for the side panel where it shows all the wires that should of been a steel panel
What I wanted to see was 4 usb 3.0 ports. Time to get rid of those usb 2.0 ports.
