Since you posted this on a monetized channel, you must be a Part 107 FAA certified commercial drone pilot. Just make sure to always check your TFRs, NOTAMs etc. through LAANC in any airspace you will be operating from; one day might be fine, the next day could be a no-fly zone. Things have change drastically in the last 24 months, probably due to the drone incident on the white house lawn. I appreciate you posting this as it can be a lesson for all of us to remember to abide by FAA flight regulations.

Dude, there is also a feature on the Air3s called AirSense that notifies you of nearby aircraft that have their ads-b transponders on, suggest you enable that feature also. Milton. I often fly in Plantation Heritage Park because I work close by and actually posted pictures on the DJI Fly Spots. Other great locations are Topeekeeggee Yugnee Park, Chapel Trial Nature Preserve and Markham Park out west. Of course there are many locations along the beach but always check for LAANC authorization and height restrictions. I have flown from Haulover Beach to Jupiter at many different locations to get great sunrise and crashing wave pictures. Enjoy the hobby!

I got into a hide and seek with a State Police helicopter on October 30 as I was taking shots of the autumn colors in a county park that I had flown in before after clearing it with the park management. Before I took off, I did my normal preflight, check the weather, check Autopylot, check NOTAM’s with FAA, and check the equipment. While in the air, I heard loud helicopter sounds near by, but I couldn’t acquire him visually or with ADS-B. I also didn’t see any emergency equipment in the area. So, I did what I normally do in those circumstances, I got very low and close. Then, he overflew my position at 200 feet, and I expected that that was that.
As I could still hear him close by, I switched to the very low altitude part of my flight plan and went under some trees for a shot I had planned to get. Unexpectedly, he came back and circled before flying away which is something they almost never do. That’s when I decided to land and pack up. I could still hear him in the area, and I didn’t like the vibes. Just I as I got down and was starting to get stuff put away, he came over for another pass and circled again. As I was dragging the pad off of the field in case he needed to land, he flew off.
So, I got packed up and waited for cops to show up. They never did, so I put my Mavic 3 Pro in the air and finished the shoot. I don’t know what that was about, but one of the people in the park complimented me on my flying skills which was a first.

5:56 Thank you for sharing your story. One of the first things I personally did when I bought a drone was to educate myself on the FAA's rules and regulations for flying drones to try to avoid these types of situations. I use the AutoPylot app before takeoff to make sure there are no TFRs and that I'm abiding by FAA rules. Lawmakers are currently looking to ban drones and I think the more educated people are on these issues, the better off the drone community is.

That was a good video. Typically I guess we have almost the same passion. So far I love doing action chases. That's what I do with my DJI drones on my channel. Stop by and check a few out and tell me what you think. I liked the way you put yours together where did you get the music from?

Is this a drone video or donut shop video. I swear my people don’t know how to edit and stay on point, unnecessary long intros etc

You cannot fly over a crowd of people so since they were throwing a boat show you you should not have flew over them. I got that on lock bro. I never fly over people when they are having an event.

actually the law says a flight can take place traversing over them. you can rephrase it all you want. its perfectly legal. now buzz off.

Pretty ridiculous you can't fly over a boat show. It's not like it's a "crowd" of people. Unless they're all touching you're more likely to hit water than anything.

@@cre8taMilt as of January 15th, 2021, you cannot fly over people without a waiver from the FAA and that waver is required to be under Part 107. The exception to this is if the aircraft weighs less than .55 lbs. but the DJI Air 3S weighs 1.59 pounds so to fly that over people requires a waiver.
