Autonomous Boat Simulation using Ardupilot and Gazebo

This video is my first venture into using ardurover and making a robotic boat. So far I have put together a good simulation to help me write the higher level intelligence for the boat. Eventually I would like develop a boat to autonomously find and pickup trash.

Is there any way to reduce the weaving / swiggly movement of the boat in gazebo? I know it's replicating how the flight controller actually behaves in real life, but can the boat just travel straight in the simulation?
