Murder is not a first-time offense. Odds are the perpetrator has been in serious trouble many times. But as usual, politicians will just blame guns and not their total failure to support law enforcement.
I literally commented the same thing and KOMO blocked me. But you are correct if those releasing murderers aren't also charged they have no reason to do anything to protect other people's children.
They call it "restorative justice". It's mostly counseling, but ends up making them think more about their difficulties and finding someone to blame-not themselves.
Oh you know what happened. He didn't know if the clip restriction was twelve before or after shooting the gun. Luckily he will be given 20 or 30 more times before being locked away.
It’s not just the school it’s the area I grew up in the central district went to Garfield 2018. Graduate got shot in the south in 2019. The crime in Seattle was just beyond crazy.
When is enough going to be enough? Don’t blindly vote for liberal Democrats who continue to lead this city down a dangerous path… we all need to vote for change and stand together.
I just wish there was a way to keep all of our kids safe. My kids have been near 3 shootings, one at school, one at the skate park and another at the bus stop coming home…. I never thought growing up that our kids would be at the risk they are today. God keep our kids safe❤️
In the heart of Seattle, another child's life has been senselessly stolen by the relentless grip of gun violence. It happened in broad daylight, a chilling reminder of the pervasive danger lurking in our streets. Just six blocks away from Garfield, where children should be safe to play, infants and toddlers were forced to low-crawl to escape the hail of bullets not so long ago. As the community reels from yet another tragedy, we're left questioning the efficacy of our leaders' responses. How many more lives must be shattered before action transcends mere temporary outrage? With over 15,000 Black churches in our midst, and countless nonprofits receiving substantial funding, it's confounding that we still find ourselves in this grim reality. It's time for our leaders to do more than offer condolences and condemnations. It's time for tangible, decisive action that instills fear in those who would dare to harm our community. We cannot allow our streets to be seen as playgrounds for violence. Together, as a united front, we must demand accountability and work tirelessly to reclaim the safety and sanctity of our neighborhoods. Let us not allow brunches, festivals, or functions to overshadow the urgency of this moment. It's time to harness our collective resources and declare, with unwavering resolve, that enough is enough. -------------- while writing this ANOTHER TEEN was shot and killed today in Renton while returning a BB gun at the Sporting Goods Store. “Guns this, gun that” it doesn’t change anything!!! We already passed many gun restrictions in the past years, and guess what? Nothing improved!!! Seattle get what they voted for. I grew up in Beacon Hill, left years ago. Zero sympathy to King County who thinks they can decide the fate of Washington.
This may violate some civil rights statues, maybe we need to get back to some old school basics, like Kurfew, and shake downs like it was in the sixties!.. laws have got to change regarding these issues!
O come on the bottom line is this guy could care less trying to read his script just pathetic no vote Washington needs a change Washington deserves a change get someone who cares about Seattle
So tired of democrats refusing to look at the real human issue to resolve instead of blaming an inanimate object. Stop being soft on crime, hold the parents accountable, incentivize families to stay together instead of breaking them up.
Space cadet , the Problem is ONGOING INVASION of criminals ! Each city council and power structure consists of the small hats telling the enforcement who is allowed to invade and who is not. The inflation , crime and confusion created by this only makes the demons in small hats stronger. Every leader is either under control Of China Israel India Latin America and America has no True Advocate . Demonic synagogue beaks and their NWO
"Bottom line" is there are generations of undisciplined poorly parented youth in a certain community who act out violently. But it's politically expedient to blame the gun rather than point out the obvious social problems that are the root cause.
@@alberttang6955 And it’s politically expedient because a large enough of the voter base is sufficiently ignorant or otherwise susceptible to propaganda, that this tactic continues to succeed. A politicians primary interest is to get elected and stay elected. They do this by understanding persuasion, after all, the people tend not to vote for philosophers or saints, but propagandists. Of the four boxes of liberty, the soap box (rhetoric) is the most potent. Until those of us that hold fundamental rights as vital components of society wise up and realize that debate is not the same as persuasion, liberty of all kinds will continue to slip away. The problem starts at home and how children are being raised. Lack of one-on-one attention, instilling positive outlooks on the future by finding something positive to strive for. Life involves hard work, sacrifice of time devoted to what a lot see as "useless activities" like doing homework or productive like volunteering or being of service. Social emotional regulation which should be taught at home and throughout grades as low as kindergarten is not catching on with the youth, or their parents for that matter. Solving problems and disputes with guns is the result. Thinking it's the only way to handle things has taken over the minds of many, including adults. Easy access to guns, ghost guns being made and traded around like it's no big deal is not the attitude to have. Retaliation is not going to end. A complete change in outlook is needed, including fixing the cost of living, and poverty due to that. Working hard is not getting many people anywhere in life, and they turn to other ways of making money, it's a lifestyle to be out of control and do what you want with zero respect for yourself or others.
Police are going to “redouble their efforts”??? What are the parents going to do? What conversations are they going to have with their neighbors and kids? It starts there. But nooooo, you can’t put accountability on the family …
Most American so called leaders are. The Country is done. North American Union is whats its called now. China Israel India Latin America Control THE INSIDE of America.and its politicians. Its Over.
The “absolute truth” is there are too many criminals on the streets.
Murder is not a first-time offense. Odds are the perpetrator has been in serious trouble many times. But as usual, politicians will just blame guns and not their total failure to support law enforcement.
Guns aren’t the problem
Until you address the problem of not prosecuting criminals and your catch and release policies dont bother having press conferences
Not prosecuting because they are not W You can't tout then as a asset if you expose their crimes
I literally commented the same thing and KOMO blocked me. But you are correct if those releasing murderers aren't also charged they have no reason to do anything to protect other people's children.

Strip law abiding citizens of their rights because of crimes committed by others. Great plan.
There's a "commonality" here, alright, but it has nothing to do with the number of guns people have. You and your platitudes did this.
Praying for this victim, this child. He gave his lufe to stop harm to others. Christ met him at the pearly gates for that!
Prayer for family and friends of young man.put resource officers in schools. These kids need Guidance. Know your kids friends. .
Seattle is falling apart.
Our people have been dying, not from guns but drugs in the area

Notice how no one is responsible for this? It just happened by itself, because Americans own guns.
