    You guys gave me 30-40 carp for bear bait. Worked great!!! Had several bears hitting the bait. And hunter harvested a bear on 5th day. Thank you

    I’m about to get my first rig and can’t wait! I’ve been interested in this for years. What do you do with the carp after shooting them?

    • @shandonbradfordoutdoors

      Heck ya man, you'll love it! It's a blast. In the state of Utah you can just discard the carp back into the water. You can't throw them on the banks. Some people use them for bear bait, and for the gardens as well. I think most states allow you to throw them back into the water after killing them but you'll need to double check that if you're not from Utah. Be sure to check out my other videos! This vid was one of the very first ones I uploaded so it's not the best truthful😂

      I don't but I just followed this video to make mine. I flattened the tips of my bow with 2 cutting boards though which ge doesn't do in the video. ua-cam.com/video/ahPK7coHVXQ/v-deo.html
      With the left over PVC I then cut a 5 inch piece in half from top to bottom, and drilled a hole in it to attach my reel. I then glued (rubber cement) and lashed the reel on with electrical tape. Don't drill a hole in the bow, it will eventually collapse on you

    Nice! I've never had any luck there... either never any visible fish, or they run as soon as they see me.

      Where they spawn is different every year according to water levels there too. If you go in the 2nd week of May tho that should be peak spawn and you'll definitely see them! Some areas around there I bowfish for them year round tho! Good spots over there

    • @shandonbradfordoutdoors
      @shandonbradfordoutdoors  2 роки тому +1

      Wack them on the head and throw them back in the water. Carp make game fish spawns less effective, and are over populated, so most states don't have a disposal law on them. It's important to throw them back in the water tho and not on shore! Throwing them on shore smells the whole place up.
