- Elena Pietrini (born 17 March 2000) is an Italian volleyball player who plays as a wing spiker for the Italian national team. She made her debut appearance at the Olympics representing Italy at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Her father Alberto Pietrini was a professional basketball player who played at club level and her mother Laura Pietrini and her sister Giulia Pietrini were also volleyball players.

she was great in euro 2021, but in vnl 2022 bosetti stole the scene. however, considering her age and her undeniable talent, she can still improve a lot. next season she'll play with zhou. probably, the best hitters duo in serie a
I agree with your precise comment.
But between Pietrini and Bosetti there’s 6 years of difference; I’d say that is a lot in the sport.
Moreover, both are totally different player: Bosetti is amazing, excellent technique and she is really solid in all fundamental. Pietrini is really young, despite this she is one of most pure talent in the volleyball world, she is power, tall, physically strong and the widest room for improvement in circulation.
Btw, I’m really proud to be Italian, really proud of my teams (man and women, I mean) and I strongly believe that actually Italy team has the best couple of hitters on the scene!
@@mattiariccio3144 true. as a player, bosetti is way more similar to sylla than pietrini. unfortunately, when sylla was in her top form, bosetti was injured, and vice versa. they are the most complete hitters in our team (when they're not injured), and, along with pietrini and, in a near future, omoruyi, they could give to mazzanti many different options in attack, and become a nightmare for every defence in the next few years
as for the age issue, the real problem, in my opinion, is not 28yo bosetti, but 35yo moki. she's irreplaceable
Guys, let’s be honest. I watch Pietrini becoz of her long and slim legs and her pretty face…. skill is a given, I mean vb skill. She’s playing with Zhou? Which Zhou? Did you actually mean Zhu Ting? Is that confirmed?
@@frankmuller0.029 yes, zhu ting signed with scandicci last month. scandicci's main line up has also brenda castillo (best libero in circulation along with de gennaro), ofelia malinov (the other setter in the italian team), haleigh washington (us team's best blocker) and ekaterina antropova as opposite (if u don't know yet who she is, u will very soon) in it. about pietrini, she spent the first 2 weeks of this vnl recovering from an injury, and there is no doubt that she can do better than this (she already did in the past)

colei che dovrebbe essere l'erede del mostro sacro Piccinini, 22 anni e ha già vinto l'Europeo, la Nations league, ed un argento mondiale con il mondiale a venire tra le favorite per la medaglia d'oro, certo la Piccinini ha vinto 7 Champions, in ogni caso Elena noto che sta lavorando sempre di più sui suoi punti deboli ed ha la mentalità da vincente, sicuramente uno dei talenti più importanti del nostro panorama.
Non bestemmiare, la Pietrini non è un unghia della Picci....e non lo sarà MAI

@@blackjack5527 se fossi un vero tifoso italiano mi augurerei di avere in squadra una Pietrini anche più forte della Piccinini (le potenzialità le ha tutte) ... ma vabbè d'altronde uno che afferma che Elena non sa difendere e non sa ricevere, forse è rimasto alle partite di due o tre anni fa 😂
