  • So we are spending some time researching our next motorhome inspired by our recent visit to the Swift Group factory as part of their showcase events - tour of the factory and getting up close and personal with the vehicles they offer.
We have in mind that whatever replaces the Auto-Trail will need to be a fixed bed of some sort - we liked both the French Bed in our first motorhome - our Bailey Autograph 75-2 and the Island Bed we have now and had in our last caravan - the Swift Fairway 580. We have become used to the separate spaces so this research has really helped us clarify what we want again - it's the rear island bed layout!
In this vlog we stopped off at Don Amott Leisure Kingdom in Hilton, Derbyshire to compare the Swift Escape 694 (has the island bed) and Bailey Autograph 79-4F (French bed). This video explains what we think. We have also added a little snippet from a comparison to the Lowdham's dealer special - the Hi-Style Xtra 694 - based on the Escape 694 - this is essentially a Kon-Tiki upholstery and higher spec Fiat Ducati cab added, but with the current Don Amott offer of £4k off an Escape 694, the Hi-Style is almost £8k more!
Look's like after Bailey discontinuing the Autograph recently (the models available are the end of the line) it looks like there could be plans to bring these back in 2025! More in the vlog. An honest evaluation is that the ones available, whilst having some decent discounts - up to £6k off some models, are on a dated Peugeot Cab.
Thank you for tuning in to The Tracker Travels. We are by no means experts or professional You Tubers but we have a passion for our motorhome and travels in the UK and Europe. We come from a family background of caravan holidays from a static in the 70’s and 80’s in Ingoldmells to tourers for over 30 years with Andy’s parents and our own caravans before switching to motorhomes.
We thank you for every view, like and subscribe so if you have not done this on our videos it would be most welcome. We have added some collections in the ‘Playlists’ of videos from tours we have done - we hope you find those useful too. Feedback always welcome (as described not yet in professional league).
We aspire to release at least a video each week, but this will depend on work commitments and frequency of our trips. We have no specific theme but most really are about our motorhome life, but many are site reviews and the old phrase ‘arriving at’ and recently we are adding in some day visits and motorhome and caravan dealer visits/reviews of caravans and motorhomes.

Nothing wrong with the hot plate in these. And certainly do not take an hour to warm up! Third motorhome and caravans before - never been an issue and offers a good mix of energy use when on EHU and gas.

@@thetrackertravelsAVOID them unless you want to be ripped off of all your savings.
We purchased only qq months ago for 60,000 a auto trai imola 615 after suffering medical and health issues we had to sell. DON AMOTT said van had a damp reading of 46 and due to supply issues couldn't be fixed till October they only gave us £45,000 for it. Yet week latter it is back up for sale for £54,995.
Unbelievable so we had more than a bad experience.
Just hope no.one has to go through the emotional and financial issues we have.
      It's a auto trail imola 615 registration LX20 CXM.
