Thank you so much for this video. As a witch married to an incredibly loving husband who is an atheist, I can relate so much to all of this. As my husband says “I don’t need to understand it in order to understand that it’s important to you.”
Thank you so much for sharing this!

Congratulations! In a time where our society seems to working overtime to identify and exploit every little thing that separates us, it's nice to see others making an example of finding unity in their differences.
I'm a Pagan Witch and am married to a Christian. 24 years last month - although I wasn't always as open about my beliefs as I have been in the last decade. Was more ambiguous, if anything. There came a time, well into our marriage, when she asked me "what exactly DO you believe?" We had that talk and she said "I can see that...but I'mma stick with what I know."
We'd be lost without each other.

Thank you for this very honest disclosure about married life. I had not thought about what it would be like for one spouse to be in a "naked witch coven" while the other spouse does not. This is all quite insightful. Sounds like you found a real gem!

You have a interesting take on this. My wife encourages me to practice even thou she doesn’t completely understand. I hope that the past year brought you closer

Lovely, I really relate, I'm also married to an Atheist who is curious about my practice. It really does help you understand yourself and your practice on a much deeper level to have someone like that to talk to. It's really amazing to have someone in your life who can respect and be curious about your differences.

Love your content. :) I don't find a lot of impactful and thoughtful content like this about Wicca on UA-cam. Just want to say I appreciate ur efforts and ur platform.

It’s very interesting seeing your partner interact with your craft. For example like magical remedies, spiritual experiences, etc. Then watching him have his own experiences which are quiet separate from your own despite the fact that he doesn’t practice. And he’s just “I believe in something.” He now believes in the deities I worship but doesn’t worship them himself. And other deities and beings too. It’s amazing watching myself and him grow.
And yeah don’t knock the birthing experience and the connection with the goddess. It’s quite... an initiatory experience. Much like a wedding is an initiatory experience. There’s purging, facing the mother wound, the near death that is giving birth... it’s powerful.

As a ritualistic magician who's in a relationship with a very nonreligious atheist, It's really helpful to hear how you navigate those waters and the insight that can be gained from it. Thanks!

Yay! Waiting for my husband to have a free moment to shoot a video with me about what it’s like being married to me!

Great topic! I have to say my relationship with my partner affects my practice. I am a person who likes to practice magick and Paganism on a frequent basis and always alone. It can be difficult when I want to do something for a particular moon phase and it is during the time my partner is over my place. Since she lives about 30 minutes away from me she isn't going to drive back and fourth of course. I did discuss what will happen when her and I move in together and what my wishes are. We are working towards how I can have that time for practice uninterrupted. It feels weird when I do my practices around her, or even talk openly about it. I only really enjoy discussing my practices and beliefs with people I share them with.

Thanks for this! I am a pagan married to an atheist. I have been with 3 pagans (married one) prior to my husband. People always ask me how I find compatibility with an atheist. They assume it’s some kind if compromise, or maybe I am secretly hoping to change him or something. It’s not a compromise. I tease him about it (the teasing is mutual btw), but it’s not something I would change. It’s something I love about him. I find him mentally more compatible than any pagans I was ever with.

I relate to this so so so much! My partner is an atheist and very scientist and literal. Im hellenic pagan and my witchcraft is very centered around my gods. Its a weird conversation at times but we do really well in communicating so we can understand each others needs and values.

I know relationships are so personal but you really helped me with this video by talking about your own. I feel like many of us who are witches tend to be outliers in many ways and we end up wanting to settle when we’re not in the healthiest place. Hearing you talk about this reminded me today how important healthy relationships are and there are some options in my life where I could go “sure I’ll settle with him” but now I feel no urge to settle into something that isn’t wonderful. Thank you for this :) it will help many people. More videos on this subject in the future are warmly welcomed:)

Thank you for sharing with us. I found myself nodding in agreement with your words ... relationships (in all forms) truly help us learn about ourselves in ways that we are unable to really do on our own. Those relationships that are "good", meaning they are based in trust, honesty, and respect, are the ones that bring us the greatest perspectives and enable us to grow as complete individuals. I'm so happy for you, Thorn. Happy Anniversary!

"Here it is, this is me, run now it only gets worse." This is what my husband and I did when we met. We were both raised religious. I'm pagan and he's agnostic. We were also both going through horrible divorces and I had a baby. We're still together four years later.

Thank you for sharing your experience, which seems like a very helpful model. In my case, I am changing and expanding into tarot reading, astral meditation, and altar work from within a Christian marriage.

Does theological conflict ever come up given your different perspectives?
How do you handle that and not let it damage your relationship?

He understands you. He challenges you. He completes you. Blah blah blah. Getting down to brass tacks here: as long as he saves his best healing spells for you during a boss fight, he's a keeper.

And there are still people exactly like her, who are married for over 20 years. Just because it didn´t turn out great for some people, it doesn´t apply to everyone.
