- Exploring a "blue hole" near Columbia Tennessee. I believe this hole to be the entrance to an underwater cave and will be visiting again to see what I can find. It's just east of Columbia on state land. During this visit the water was still a little cloudy. Sorry for the quiet audio during my speaking. Subscribe for updates!

Beautifully done. My mom was born and raised in Knoxville and almost two years ago we fled California for beautiful Tennessee. We LOVE it and I am surprised how many places we have adventured to that long lifers I have met haven't. I love the The Lost Sea is located in Sweetwater on Hwy. 68, just seven miles off I-75, exit #60. Lost Sea 140 Lost Sea Road Sweetwater, TN 37874 and was abosultely astounded.
Yall, I've got some bad news. There isn't an entrance large enough for anyone to fit through. During a local underwater cave rescue here in Tennessee a few weeks back I had posted this video in a news comment. Someone got in touch with me about it. He is a rescue diver and they wanted to check it out. I gave him directions there and he drove in it. We were both optimistic but it's still a beautiful place. More shenanigans to come!
There are so many awesome caves in middle Tennessee that many people dont know of!
@@GrizzlyVance go on?
I heard divers couldn't find the bottom. I bet there's lots of bones in there
Looks like a siphon
Wow how cool! I'm just outside m'boro.
I spent the first 45 years of my life in Columbia, Tn. I've been spelunking in several caves in the area. I've swam and fished in two rock quarries. I've fished up and down the Duck River and numerous creeks around the county. But I have never, ever heard of this place!
I've been here my whole life too and hadn't discovered that place until this video. I was really hoping it would open up into a big cave but the diver said nope. I've gone back when it hasn't rained in a week or so and it didn't look as cool as it does when it's full of water.
How do you find this?
Very cool.. loving finding stuff like this 👍🏼
Tennessee is the most beautiful place in the world❤️ and I’m not just saying that bc i was born and raised in Dickson county either😜 My husband is from Centerville(Hickman county, home of Minnie Pearl😎) and there’s all kinds of beautiful places to find in the woods out there. A few years ago I randomly found a UA-cam video called “Centerville Falls” and it literally ended up being less than a mile from our house🤷♀️😻🔥
It sure is! I plan on doing some better videos this summer. Thanks for watching!
Wow Katy what luck!
Beautiful
I remember that blue hole when it was to the top in water & rumer was a whole cow fell in & disappeared but yet people were still jumping in....20 years ago
You need to ask Noah to come and scuba in it to find the cave. COOL!!
Awesome brother be careful man I'm subbed
I used to cut fire wood near there. I think I've seen a civil war photo taken there. I'm not sure but I believe I saw it in a collection in Franklin. Very cool
Cool spring/sump. It will be about 57 degree year round .Burrr.
I would recommend using scuba diving equipment to explore and consulting a cave expert would be a good idea. Exploring on your own is extremely risky be very careful.
Moving out to Gatlinburg in March, cool find 😎❤👍
Would love the local to see topside only. From Chattanooga!!
I think caves go hand in hand with the missing 411 cases
I want to see the rest of this.
I Am in East Tennessee & I have something Exactly like this on my Property.....I've Pumped it out 3 Times & when I Come back the next day it is Full of water Again....I Have a Spring that supplies water to my house and this Pond is About 25 To 30 feet from where my Spring box is....Would be interesting if I were to open it up & Find out if it is A Cave entrance or Another Spring Head on my Property...Any Ideas?....Thanks.
That would be awesome! This one here fills up with rain water run off and then drains fairly quickly afterward. When I recorded this I thought it held water all the time. A diver came out and went under when it was full and found a hole bit it wasn't large enough to make an entrance with his gear. I love finding and exploring caves and just any kind of anomaly in nature.
@@jbrannon509 Mine Fills up with or Without rain When I Drain it Almost Dry....Cant Figure it out Because it Holds this Water Year Round Regardless of How Dry it is...There Almost Has To Be A Cave System or Spring Fed Aquifer Feeding it Otherwise it would stay Dry....I Have Limestone All over My Property & the Place Across my Creek is What they Call A Karst Dolomite area & currently I have no Cave Entrance Big enough "At least not For A Human" to enter....But I know one is there & would Love to Open Something up.
@@davidsaylor3582 I am a cave diver in Nashville always looking to explore new caves. I would be happy to check it out and can help you get a better understanding of the cave system.
@@mikeloyco Great...I would just like to open up the aquifer system on my property & see if its possible to redirect the majority of flow of natural spring water onto my property that currently seems to be flowing away from the natural spring exit or too small to pass cave entrance on my property...I can about Guarantee there is a Cave system on my Property even though their is Currently not a big enough entrance to get into it...was hoping to Micro shave a passable entrance into it somehow...That Would be Awesome.
A.P. sent me.
Is this in Primm Springs??? I live In Maury Cty right outside o😢Columbia city limits
I am 59 TAG area adventurer go team!
how can i find this?
Hi, its on Robert Truelove Road in east Maury County, about 7-8 miles eat of Columbia. I was there a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty much a mud pit but with the rain we've been getting I'm sure its got some water in it now.
That’s out close to what was my dads place out by old sowell mill pike.
I'm planning to go to Cheeks Bend this week and will have to check out that road. What was the name of the app that tells who owns land?
Thanks for the video.
how familiar are you with springs in your area? do you know if any are first or second magnitude?
