First of all thank you for showing the steps to reset this! quick note for everyone having the following issue. In my case I was passed the inspection date with 2 days. In order to get rid of the warning in the dashboard I had to first set the "Time since inspection" to 0 (This would get rid of the warning in the dashboard) and after that I set it again to 2 (since this is the number of days passed since inspection). If I change it directly to 2 the message on the dashboard would still show even though the inspection date was reset. I believe you would have to do the same thing for distance in km aswell if you went passed those kilometers instead of time.
Hey, just quick disclaimer: If the procedure is UDI, then: Check if FIX has a current value! If so, then Reset FIX & ESI! If the FIX value is - (current value), then only reset ESI.

Will it work for 2015? I did it but the "inspection due" warning, still there.. any other option?
could i ask where did you get the cable for obd and also the software (VCDS), any link?
You can get it from ebay. I was able to find it on ebay Australia for $16 AUD
