My head canon about the lore of this archetype is that the reason the main deck monsters work in pairs of 2 is because they are not just "sisters" (i.e. nuns), but also *sisters* (i.e. siblings). If this were true it would add an additional pun layer on their name (and from what I've seen Golden Nova seems to love those lol)
I like playing Exorsisters with Dogmaktika, the Exorsisters can really stop any grave plays meanwhile the Dogmaktika can help stop any extra deck plays.Plus the 2 designs go great with each other with the holy nun girls fighting alongside the holy church.

On the lore side of things, the Exorsisters seems to be pretty solidly on the resolution end of a supernatural apocalypse, in particular an underworld type one considering how their power is tuned towards restricting graveyard nonsense. Giving themselves as avatars to either their patron or their ancestors, they ensure what ended the old world remains in the grave with those they consumed. It is mercifully simple all things considered, unless we find out that monster they're fighting is far more complicated than we thought.
This is definitely one of my new favorite archetypes just on the aesthetic alone. It gives me heavy Blue Exorcist or Bleach Vibes. Love their unique playstyle. If they can get a card that can force a trigger on the opponent's turn that'd be great. I'd love to see them in the anime.

The sheer chemistry in that opening is a treat, you and your partner are the cutest Nova. Also I see that alt title, and you KNOW you're wrong. In the first half at least.....she definitely redeems herself alot later.
I have visceral desire to sneak *both* some Utopia Monsters in this deck....annnd, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon. Hey, you never know when someone will try to tech in Light Imprisoning Mirror against your nuns.
Actually, this is something I thought of myself. Basically, use Joker's Straight to bring out Queen and King, get the summon of Jack's Knight (if need be) as well ,and you still have a regular normal summon. Bring out Elise/Stella to get the other one out. Then go into 2 Rank 4 combos by pairing queen or king with one of the exorsisters to proc both effects. This way you've got 2 Exorsisters and a 1900 Body on the field. Now of course you don't NEED to bring out Jack's Knight, but it's an option. Plus, you could bring out Joker's Knight (if it's in your hand) and go into a rank 5 with it and Jack's. Basically: Elise & Stella, Joker's Knight, and Joker's Straight in your hand. If you are lucky enough, you could pull some combos
So I believe exorsister are based off the AES Sedia in the Robert Jordan epic fantasy The wheel of time. For example all of the AES Sedia travel in pairs and they basically focus on the dragon reborn and sealing off magic in men
Took me this long to realize part of why they work in pairs is because of the whole "I need an old priest and a young priest" thing with exorcisms. Also Martha is likely named as a play on Mother because the head priest is referred to as "Father" and you get the idea.
I like the approach you take in this video. You approach it as if the viewer knows nothing about the architect, a lot of other people don’t do that. Most of the time they assume you know everything, so that alone makes this a really good video and it also makes me want to take a look at some of your other videos as I am pretty new to this game and have a lot to learn. Nice job though. I’m hoping that you have something on sky strikers and if you don’t, I definitely think you should do something like this video on sky strikers.
I dueled against a cool deck that mixed a small ZW-Utopia package into this a while ago, and it looks like a really fun deck! I love their theming too, post apocalypse exorcists out to put demons and spirits to rest. I'm sure it's obvious at this point but the Xyz monsters all take their names from biblical angels combined with one of the girls: Mikhaelise is Michael and Elise. Usophiel is Uriel and Sophia. Jibrine is Jibril/Gabriel and Elaine. Caspitelle is... Caspiel/Cassiel and Stella, I think?
I've been playtesting this since the new support dropped and their new boss is amazing, their new main deck monster that's 1 card xyz speeds up the deck so you can pretty easily make 2 XYZs to go into their boss, and their trap is a easy banish and their quick play spell arment makes the second banish live. So far I think it's a decent deck with a very flexible toolbox
Playing them in master duel and this vid helps a bit, with the way it seems, I think this group won't end till it's 8 main deck and 8 extra deck Exosisters. Shout outs to Des Feral Imp!
I have another translation-dependant card that can make the Exorsisters trigger: "Bone Temple Block". It's a trap that force both players to summon a monster from their opponent's GY. I hope the TCG translation won't say "card" so it can still work!
Another unique archetype that trigger their xyz summon when the opponent revive from gy... and they are good in other xyz like utopia, time thief, and others...
So there are 2 potential translation issues when it comes to exorsisters in the TCG. The first one is what you already mentioned (by your opponent's card). This also happens to stuff like avramax and artifact sanctum. The OCG text says "sent to the GY by the opponent". TCG stupidly adds the word "card" to the text which causes headaches. SO if this ever happens, ask your head judge honestly. The second issue revolves around the spell Exorsister Pax . Exorsister pax says ", then, if an "Exorsister" monster whose name is specifically listed on the added monster is on your field or in your GY". In the OCG, once per turn restrictions don't mention the card name. Instead they say "You can only use the effect of a card with this card’s name once per turn.” . In the TCG however, once per turn restrictions are written as to actually have the card name in question (You can only use this effect of “Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring” once per turn). What that means is that potentially you can use pax to add an exorsister stella from your deck to your hand and summon it even though the only other exorsister on your field/GY is another copy of stella. I'm really curious about how TCG will handle exorsister pax or not even notice the issue. (this has also happened with the armed dragon support ygorganization.com/important-psa-about-lv-monsters/ )

But you know, I never noticed the crumbling buildings and city wreckage in the background. that's a bit of an interesting detail. also I think it's pretty clear each of the xyz are an upgraded form of each of the main deck monsters, taking their fully powered form or like, being occupied by a holy spirit.
If you use Necrovalley you can't access their alternate XYZ summoning. Vadis becoume usless sice without that you would have to use it on your turn locking yourself out of Gravekeepers. Recruiter and Nobleman doesn't work under Usophiel, Rite under Caspitelle. And exorciser can't do anything when Hidden temple is on the field.

Gravekeepers need to dabble in death to do their job, Exorsisters avoid it where they can.

But exorsisters gonna be honest - are a mess. They can lock opponent from the grave... but only after he used it. It's like locking the door after thief already broke in. Exorsisters are preoccupied making sure the monsters of the past stay down where they belong, but not really since they need them to already leave the grave to do anything cause XYZ's effects are awful when summoned during your turn. They can't avoid it, they need it to function. You can probably tell that i'm not really a fan of them, simply because whiele being both XYZ spam archetype and hunter archetype, they are awful at both of thoe aspects. Plus it's anoter of those anime Girl archetypes...

One could consider this a flavor extension of the tendency of organizations (like the Exorsisters likely are) to be reactive and only fix problems already out, rather than actually trying to fix the problem at its source. Basically. Exorsisters need your opponent to dip into the grave, while Necrovally just shuts that off entirely. So strangely enough, they have very little synergy.

Archetype absolutely needs a counter trap that replaces an opponent's card Effect with banish a card from your graveyard forcing the opponent to move something out of their graveyard to trigger your card Effect kind of like how World Legacy brainwashing does
I think you meant Dark World Brainwashing. Also, that would be boooring... Instead they should take that demons exorcisters are fighting and make them into a kaiju-like cards that are forcing enemies to banish from grave. That would fit their theme and lore much better.
Too bad though we probably won’t get anymore monsters cuz they are “eight-sisters” so we got them all already, it’s why they focus on 800 life points too, and XYZ summoning (pronunciation), and exorcists, and sisters nuns, and actual sisters….. this archetype wins best pun of Yugioh cuz it’s 5 puns in 1!
For real, i can't comprehend why they didn't just copied Evilswarm Ophion effect on Caspitelle. (Of course addjusting it to the theme). Nope, till the end of the turn. (Same for Usophiel). Necrovalley is what this whole archetype should be but on one card.... Released back in 2002... And they catn't even run it because it locks them of one material XYZ... What a masterpiece...

The best thing about these cards is they are comically garbage.
For real, i can't comprehend why they didn't just copied Evilswarm Ophion effect on Caspitelle. (Of course addjusting it to the theme). Nope, till the end of the turn. (Same for Usophiel).
Necrovalley is what this whole archetype should be but on one card.... Released back in 2002... And they catn't even run it because it locks them of one material XYZ... What a masterpiece...
