Bandung the capital of west java province
Solo/Surakarta city: there is the Sultan's Palace which is a fragment of the Yogyakarta Sultan's palace. Semarang city: is the capital of Central Java province, with many old buildings from Dutch colonial heritage.
Cirebon city: located in the province of West Java, which in the past was also a separate sultanate so we can find the palace where the sultan lived.
Bandung city: is the capital of West Java province, apart from the different city atmosphere, in Appeal there are also many charming natural tourist attractions, one of which is Kawah Putih (White Crater) and Tangkuban Perahu
Malang, a cool city in east java and from there you can arrange for a trip to the enchanting Mount Bromo
From Jogjakarta where you are now, you can go to Bandung, West Java. There are many beautiful mountain tourist attractions there. You can also go to the nearest area outside the city of Bandung, namely Bogor City, still West Java. From Bogor City you can go to Jakarta because it is close by. If you're heading East, next city is Solo (Surakarta) the sister city of Yogyakarta, it's just 60 km to north east. There you can see batik course, gamelan, wayang and authentic Javanese culinaries.

Recommendation places in Bandung to visit
History & Architect: Central Bandung, Gedung Sate, Asia Africa St., Braga St. (there are some Museums around central Bandung).
Sundanese Culture: Saung Angklung Udjo in eastern Bandung, also you can go further to a viewpoint of Bandung City called Cartil so many cafes you can choose from.
Nature: Dago, Lembang, and Ciwidey. They have so many cool coffee shops, craters, and strawberry/tea plantations or you can go further to Citambur Waterfall in Cianjur.
Food: Paskal Foodmarket, Nyawang Bulan Bunisari (avoid Sudirman Street Food).

Interesting about that niche in Prambanan...
If I were to guess based on indigenous Indonesian beliefs, then what is worshipped as supreme is similar to hyang or sanghyang, which cannot be described or imagined. Not everywhere, but the One Supreme. To describe it, they use the number zero, which does not mean that it does not exist, but rather that its power is infinite. As the number zero as a divider. That zero is called "Suwung".
So when they worship towards a punden, it is not the building that is worshiped, but the inside: "Suwung".
And that was the original religion called Kapitayan that the people of ancient Java followed. Not Hinduism, Buddhism, or Hindu-Buddhism, which was usually practiced by the nobility.

Automatic (matic) bike is not suitable for mountain ride, you better rent a manual bike (with clutch, gear, etc). It's possible to tune automatic bike for mountain ride but it need to change the roller pin inside the engine and setting the ECU.
