Wonderful Whistle sound effects of this K2A Class Steam Locomotive, No. 131. From the Norfolk & Western Railroad. It’s a shame that none of the Norfolk & Western K2A’s and the Non-Streamlined K2 Class 4-8-2’s were ever preserved. Although a Tender from one of the K2’s is still around as the Tender of Norfolk & Western 578. They would’ve been cool to be around to this day. Especially with the K2A’s showing that they share the same Streamlined Casing to the J Class 4-8-4 “Northern” Steam Locomotives, even Norfolk & Western 611. Yes, they look exactly the same to the modern J Class, except they are smaller than them (Notably the wheel arrangement too), and different numbers.
