This publication is a collection of some of my finest arrangements, those that sit best on the guitar, and those that have proved the most popular with audiences. There are no weak fillers here, every one is a winner! The book comes in sheet music/tab format and the arrangements are presented beautifully. Audio is available to stream, and you can even slow it down and keep the same pitch to help you learn to play the pieces.
The song titles included are Vincent, Moon River, Somewhere over the Rainbow, Classical Gas, Hallelujah, You've Got a Friend, Your Song, Bring Him Home, Love Changes Everything, Candle in the Wind, Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word, The Boxer, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Wonderful Tonight, The Dark Island, I Don't Know How To Love Him, Killing me Softly, Don't Cry For Me Argentina, The Heart Asks Pleasure First, I Know Him So Well.

Working my way through the book and it's outstanding. I've not come across arrangements so suited to the classical guitar player (and not only classical guitar, all guitarists). I'm thoroughly enjoying learning every one of them. There's not one bar where I'm like "wtf"! as is usually the case with popular arrangements for guitar. There's usually something missing in other popular guitar arrangements as arrangers try to simplify them resulting in that they sound a bit naff. David has not compromised therefore maintaining a quality arrangement which is challenging but works perfectly. I'd very highly recommend it to players of all abilities as there are left hand challenges that are pertinent to the classical guitar or a guitar generally so it's excellent and enjoyable training. The dropped strings are also excellent practice for the likes of some of Barrios's music for example. Bridge Over Troubled Water being a good example. I will be enjoying playing this book for many years to come and I'd expect it to become a standard must have among guitarists.
Oh thanks! That's kind. I think these days all of the arrangements in the book have to work well as they come with a CD and video! Glad you are enjoying them. 🙂🙏
@@davidjaggs You have a great talent for this David and I'm hoping for more. It is so frustrating when you purchase something and it's just "ok" so I'm very grateful for all the thought, care and hard work you've put into this as I've got a tremendous amount of enjoyment from it.
I've bought the book. David's arrangement is such a high quality musically and it is a joy to learn them.
Thanks Ken. I've just finished a new book, I'll put those arrangements out on UA-cam when it's released!
Wow! I just found this, got the book and cannot wait to start working on it. This is EXACTLY how I'd like to learn to arrange popular songs for solo guitar. They sound fantastic! Thank you so much for this!!!
Thanks Michael. A similar book to come later this year, will be the fourth in the series.👍👍
Wunderschön gespielt 🎶🎸💞👏 alle meine Lieblingslieder 🙏 so perfekt. Dankeschön für das vorspielen. 👍👍das werde ich mir öfter anhören 😍

I just ordered my copy of your book. I cannot wait to receive it. Now, if I could only play them as well as you!!
Thanks William. There are a few easier arrangements, Dark Island being one that comes to mind. 😊
@@davidjaggs when I have mastered several of these, I will send you a video. I am especially anxious to start on "Bring Him Home." I really enjoyed your version.
@williamgiovinazzo8523 looking forward to hearing it! It goes down really well with audiences.
Sir, you deserve million views 🙏

Thanks 🙏👍. I hope you are enjoying it 🙂
Looking forward to buying the book, lovely areangements
👍🙏
Beautiful sonority
😊🙏
David, I just listened to some of your arrangements here and they are simply gorgeous. You play them so beautifully too. I envy your control and musicality. I particularly love the arrangement for "The Heart Asks Pleasure First," one of Michael Nyman's best compositions. Thank you for posting these. Another instant purchase for me.
Thanks Ian. Hope you enjoy playing them. Slow practice is the key to that piece. 👍👍
I find the whole feel/sound is better with the capo on the second fret. It also allows for a sweeter sound from the a finger. Bit of a stretch later on but does work. It's a great piece!!
Really beautiful arrangement and playing, sir!
Thanks for watching 👍😊
Exelent Sir,,👍👍👍
👍🙏☺️
Thanks, I just ordered the book.
Thanks Richard. Hope you enjoy playing them ☺️
Moon River is absolutely stunning
Thanks 🙏👍
this is great. I don't mind a little flash here and there but I like that I don't hear a bunch of "snap, crackle, and pop" that seem to be so prevalent in many younger fingerstyle guitarists arsenal. Guitar sounds great without all the extras. IMHO. I will get your book and try some of these out. Keep up the great work. 👍
Thanks PB. Have you come up with a new expression here, "snap, crackle and pop"!!! Hope you enjoy the book. 👍👍
@@davidjaggs lol....Thank you Sir, I'm sure I will. 😉
I just ordered your books. Hope you'll keep releasing new volumes in the future with 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙙, 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙣, 𝘿𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙆𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙒𝙝𝙮, 𝙁𝙡𝙮 𝙈𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙣, and the like, and I'll be sure to get them right away. I'm a pianist, but I also love to play guitar music. Thanks again for the wonderful music! I love them so much🎸
Thanks 🙏👍 I'm hoping to release more!
Beautiful music, well done. Are you planning to do tutorial videos.
I may do one day. Thanks for watching 👍
I bought the book last month 15Jan2024 . Since my last post 1 yr ago about tutorials, I have been practicing Vincent from the music sheets I had purchased. Still not prefect but good enough, at least I am having fun with my rendition of it. Not brave enought to post it though. ha ha. Noticed in the book there a few slides and one pull off, those work very well. LIke a kid in a candy store not sure which arrangement to start work on now. I have to pick one of the remaining 19. I am thinking of Dont cry for me Argentina. If I run into trouble I would ask for help.
Brilliant David. Of them all my favourite has to be Vincent asI remember the Church video from years ago that you did. Do you have a favourite ? 👍👍
I think somewhere over the rainbow 🌈☺️
@@davidjaggs Not that I was any good, but I struggle to play CG these days as I have a trapped Ulnar nerve in my left elbow which causes a weakness in my index and pinky fingers, so I struggle to barre chords anymore. I can just about manage a half barre. It's so frustrating.
@@ClevedonGuitarMan that's sad, sorry to hear...
👏👏👏👌🍺🇬🇧
👍👍
How does one get his hands on this book if he lives in the US? This is amazing - it's the types of music I'd like to add to my classical set list!
Hi David. There is a link in the description.. it's on Amazon. Thanks for watching 👍
Really like it. How can I purchase in the u.s.a. ?
