JWOC Trials - Long - Hedley Farm 2024

Trials for the NZ JWOC team - this is second of the two Auckland qualification events. This public event was in typical NZ farm land - Hedley Farm, an hour north of Auckland - rough, hilly and beautiful. A really tough map (5m contours), and stunning weather made it pretty warm out there. I was glad to get in the forest, but I was pretty exhausted by then. Two races in two days.
DNF for me today because I started twice. I rolled my ankle so walked back to start and tried again - 53:14 running time - would have been 5th - next time eh?
Apologies beforehand - ran out of battery 5 mins from the end. Straight forward path to the finish.
