Hi Amy! Just found your channel. Great insights and video. I have loved and listened to APP Eye every since the early 80s and just now realized it is pretty conceptual. Thanks to you. Revolving around the idea of surveillance, being watched or monitored, and the implications of that oversight on people's lives and beliefs.
Hi, I am so happy you found the channel, welcome! I absolutely love The Alan Parsons Project / Eye In The Sky, I find myself floating to this album often. I am planing on sharing my interpretation of the album in the future. I love incredible songwriting and this album absolute inspired me! ✨💫 Thank you for your comment, I hope you enjoy the channel 😊
We would zigzag away , through the boredom and pain occasionally glancing up through the rain.... what a genius lyricist Waters is. And I'll level with you Amy , I bought A Trick of the Tail and Wind and Wuthering on the same day , and in my naivety thought Gabriel was still in the band. I nearly didn't bother listening to them , and thought I would pass them on. What the hell I thought , I'll give em a go ( this will be roughly '87 ). We all know now how important and incredible these two LP'S are , Steve Hackett is the lynchpin for Genesis , and having seen him Live... well just a dream come true. Don't get me on to Steely Dan , Gaucho they're just my fave US band ever !!! What a collection of vinyl you've shown there Amy. Awesome. 😍🎵🎵🤘
“Occasionally glancing up through the rain Wondering which of the buggers to blame And watching for pigs on the wing” Roger Waters inspired a lot of my writing, despite what people say he is a lyricist genius! I’m so happy you enjoyed the video! Thanks again for hanging out 🎵🤘🏼
I am so happy you mentioned The Pyramid, I have a handful of APP’s catalog but not this one…I actually never listened to it. Now I have plans tonight. Thank you! Cheers 🍻
I love dreamers, as I am a dreamer too. Going from APP Eye in the Sky to Black Sabbath to Genesis, to Moody Blues and back to Genesis. Whow! All favorites in my collection. I too am a huge Depeche Mode and agree with your comments. Watched the rest of the video and most were in my collection. Hate to hear you've had some difficult times, like you, music pulled me through my difficult times too. Never loose your smile and don't allow any body steal your dreams or make you feel bad. I just subscribed to your channel and looking forward to listen to back uploads and future postings. Have a great day and remember to stay healthy and be safe.
Whow…I did just do something magical there! Think I’ll use that exact shuffle this weekend…thank you for highlighting that for me…looks like I’m going to have a great weekend! ✨🎶😅 Cheers 🍻

I like and love a lot about Joe Walsh from the James Gang on up to his time in Eagles and more on ..This was on so long on Music Direct for way over a year they were taking pre orders and then they removed the advertising.. I assumed A Productions had cancelled it and I just decided to go back to Music Direct site 2 weeks ago sure enough they have it ..The 33 AP version came out in 2017 ,I did not get it because I have the original but this 45 I really want ..

Your love of music is so apparent. The care you take, the awesome pressings. Work must be quite a pain at times if it took Animals to calm the situation. I hope things got better quick. Ill keep in mind the Al Green tip 👍 😁

Hi 👋 Greetings from New Zealand. I never liked that album Eye of the Tiger by Alan Parsons Project. I like their 1970s music and the song I wouldn't want to be like You. I have a large collection of music from the 1960s to the early 2000s. I'm in my sixties in age , so I have always enjoyed different genres over the years. I own a huge jazz collection. Chicago put some good albums and songs . I agree with you about how music can help in hard times. Music has been a savior for me. I like Depeche Mode. I had a copy of their album Violator in 1990 on vinyl , an excellent lp. Good records there. From Carl.
Welcome Netherlands 🇳🇱 😁 The Alan Parsons Project-Eye In The Sky really was the start of my progressive journey in music….then I got more and more progressive 😇 Sounds like you have a great collection! Yes, violator is a fantastic album! I have the studio album and a box set of the singles/remixes….you just may enjoy the remixes. I just may have to make a video on my Depeche Mode collection 😁 Thank you for watching 🎵
Amy!! Awesome video as always and some amazing picks you brought out. I’m pissed since I missed the opportunity to grab the Sabbath debut reissue from Rhino. Now it goes for twice as much on the second hand market 😑. Glad to see you brought out Gaucho again and gave some love to Pet Sounds. Keep up the amazing work as always 🤘🤙🍺👍
Thanks Mitch! Yes, the Rhino High Fidelity is killer! Feels nice and dark, the detail is wow…especially on the guitar and bass solos! I’ll keep an eye out for Mitch🤘🏼
