Puppies are vulnerable until they have received all 3 parvo shots until then any toys leashes blankets clothing jackets collars any toys water or food dishes any yard home or path an infected dog traveled will have shed millions of parvo virus spores if you allow your puppy to socialize with other dogs or a person who has touched or been in contact with an infected dog can carry parvo virus to your home and petting your puppy is a sure way to infect him or her. Also if the pregnant mother was properly vaccinated and the puppy was not weaned too early then your puppy should have had enough antibodies to protect them. Also hydration is vital as well as electrolytes as parvo attacks the stomach lining and dehydrates the puppy from both ends and also because parvo destroys the stomach lining and sheath covering the lining quite painful there is a likelihood of secondary infection to come with parvo which is bacterial and devastating if you take your pet in right away you have a chance to save its life. Remember dont take your puppy around strangers or dog parks notaroubd other neighbors dogs and dont allow strangers to pet or touch your dogs food water dish collar or leash or toys and remember most breeders of dogs are only loving the money it makes them to force breed their dogs they do not give proper care to mother or puppies and the breeders lie about the health of mother and puppies even knowingly sell sick dogs just for the profit.

Sweetie I am so sorry to hear your story. I just lost a dog three days ago to an intestinal blockage. He ate hair ties but didn’t show signs until his intestines were already in necrosis. I’ve been blaming myself all week and my vet told me I can as fast as my dog showed symptoms. I still hate myself thinking I missed something. I don’t even know how he got the hair ties since they’re all stored away. It’s heartbreaking to hear what you went through because my dog did the same thing only with vomit not diarrhea. I don’t think I’ll ever get that image out of my mind. These are our babies and it’s excruciating to see them suffer. I’m so sorry for your loss

my chihuahua had parvo virus and the vet turned us away because we didn't have any money. so I force fed my dog Gatorade. I was awake for 2 weeks, and long story short, it saved my dog's life. GATORADE! 👍👍

I saved a pup from parvo a few weeks ago. I bought some bactricillin g, bought two syringes and used one for pedialyte and the other for gerber babyfood. You have to force the pup/dog to eat/drink thru the syringe. They will NOT eat on their own. I only had the pup two days and I noticed that her poop looked like raspberry jelly. After 4 days of doing this she was 100% better. You have to basically keep them hydrated with the pedialyte. Dollar Tree has it cheap.
@@thayastyles544 I only fed her pedialyte. It was the generic dollar tree brand. I also tried a method a guy on UA-cam mentioned which was....use a needle and syringe to inject water subcutaneously under the skin so it forms a bubble and they can hydrate themselves that way....similar to an IV. But that was too time consuming. The pedialyte and gerber baby food worked. After about 4 days she was a lot better. Once I noticed her eating from my other pups bowl on her own I knew she was on the way to getting better. After about two weeks she was a totally different pup. Mind you, i only had the pup for two full days before I realized she probably had parvo.

Thank you for sharing I am sure it will help others and make them aware to get shots as soon as possible. The virus in some areas have made it difficult for many things, vets, teeth, surgeries. I'll be picking up my dog later from the vet, she was diagnosed with parvo but the vet said that she's now fully recovered, thank God. It costs me a lot of money but it's really worth it.
@@shemonarawat1033 keep doing that until it's vomit and diarrhoea stops.. once done get yourself ORS and curd and coconut water.. keep feeding every 2 hours. Mine didn't eat for 2-3 days post recovery. So I started force feeding him using a syringe and his medicine routine is very important. Compulsorily get Liv52 and ask your vet for the correct dose. Mine started eating today on his own so I'm very happy. Just remember this keep him alive anyhow.

My puppy started with symptoms early Monday morning (now Friday), we took him to the vet on Wednesday and they treated him for the vomiting but he still continued so we took him back yesterday and they admitted him and they called us this morning and told us that they had him on fluids and from when we left him at the vet he hasn't vomitted since. I had two pomeranian pup one was affected with parvo and he died another one is also affected by the same,then I took him to veternary and injected ,still he is vomiting and inactive . He searched for cold place instead of his favorite place Bed(bed for me, he loved to sleep near my foot on my bed) 1st day started vomit undigested food later on same day night,start bloody diarrhea with bad smell. The next day i started treatment with a local vet. He never stop drinking and i hope he will ok soon. On 2nd day of treatment,evening he died. Its really a heartbreaking incident💔

The greatest advice I can give to anyone is "Keep your dog hydrated!!!". Don't let the vet tell you this "parvo is deadly" shit (They want you to admit your dog into treatment with them costing you a limb) because it really ain't. Your dog being dehydrated is deadly. Your dog is not going to wanna eat but what you can do is boil up some potatoes and mash it with a little bit of chicken broth and a little bit of honey. Scoop little by little with a finger and force feed it to them every hour. Giving them too much will cause them to vomit resulting in severe dehydration. We cured our dog at home with things that will most likely be in your cupboard. we also gave our dog a table spoon (for our big dog) and tea spoon (for our pup) of Pedialyte (for children also found in your local chemist) every 30mins followed with rubbing honey on their gums. We did this for like 3-4 days then their back to their selves eating and drinking. Every vet we went to told us our dogs will die and that treatment will be $7000. We obviously proved them wrong so be cautious of the hands you try to place your dogs in. They are much safer in your own. Hope this helps xx

@@layylayy5061 it’s so sad seeing them like this, so sorry that yours is going through this. So what you would do is only scoop up a little by little onto your finger and just put it into her mouth. Or grab pedialyte (for kids) from your local chemist and give them a cap or use a syringe would be easier and just force it into their mouth. This will help them stay hydrated till they find the strength to drink a little or eat.
@@layylayy5061 you don’t need to fully open her mouth, if you could just gently squeeze it into her mouth by lifting one side of her lip up and rubbing it on her gums should be good enough. As long as she isn’t left without anything going into her. Use the honey and run into her gums every 30mins to an 1hr. This will also help her stay hydrated with the compounds found in honey.
Same here.... my 3 months old puppy died tonight few minutes ago. It had the same symptoms as mention by you, didn't know it was suffering from parvo virus. Till yesterday she was fine. I've two dogs one is 2 years old and the other one is 1 month old baby n he's suffering from parvo ! My puppy has parvo. He is only 2 1/2 months old. Just lost my baby boy yesterday night to parvo. It has to be 1 of the most saddest thing to see. Please make sure to always vaccinate your pet...by any means necessary. Its so easy to miss these symptoms before its too late. Truthfully if you dont catch the symptoms in the first 24-36 hours...I dont believe any dog could make it..even tho Im not a professional. My dog had parvo and I didn’t have the money for a vet. This guy in our neighborhood known as the dog man told me to put a teaspoon of beach in some milk and pour it into my dogs mouth- I know this sounds CRAZY but my dog was dying and I didn’t have any other options cause I was flat broke. Well guess what.. it freaking worked lol not saying try it yourselves but it worked and 1 year later he’s still here and active as ever
I also had a German shepherd pup fall I’ll with parvo but this was before covid and she was failing so much all of a sudden o took her to my vet right away. He said he could admit my dog and put her on IV to hydrate her because as he explained dehydration in parvo is the biggest problem. He suggested if I wanted to take care to hydrate my dog 24/7 for a week she might pull through. I outfitted the playhouse my husband put in the yard for the children for a small hospital and stayed with the dog almost constantly just squeezing water into the side of her mouth with a clean wash cloth. It took a few days and nights with her and then one morning she just woke up herself again! My bet was quite surprised saying he understood the dedication it would take to do this at home. You were also quite dedicated but your veterinarian system was hampered by covid. My thoughts go out to you!
I am so sorry for your loss. My puppy was diagnosed with a Parvo two days ago after I took him to the vet on Sunday and sent his stool away for testing. He did survive without hospitalization but I am I train Veterinary systems. I feel terrible that you had to watch that I am hoping your other puppy is OK
Had a puppy for less than five months, he was very energetic in the morning but in the afternoon, he began limping on his right leg. He became very moody and self-isolated. In the evening, he began vomiting this white foam and some salivary substances. Woke up in the morning to see he has passed on. Rest in Peace, Bestie

Sorry for your loss. I too couldn’t take my puppy to get vaccinations due to COVID. However, I researched “how to administer vaccines?” I found multiple DIY videos showing how and where to get the vaccines. Thankfully I was able to give my puppy his vaccines on my own. I buy all my vaccines from Tractor Supply Company in my area for all of my dogs and puppies. It is very easy to do AND I’m saving a lot of money by doing it myself. Thanks for sharing your story!
@@bhargavdutta855 yes he did in the first day of him having parvo, he survived parvo because we used nanosilver which is only 1k in the 3rd day na nag karon sa ng parvo and with the provide of the dextrose,anitibiotic and nanosilver he started eating:)) and eventually he got better

I had a six months old lab puppy. He usually had meal at 9 am. On 1st day , he refused to eat , even after calling him again and again and after every hour and forced and around 3 pm I forced him to eat like putting it in his mouth gently but didn't eat and I thought it would be just a normal stomach upset and thought he would surely eat at night meal. I went to shop and bought puppy pedigree taste up meal which was his favorite which cost 200/- and I was quite sure as he skipped morning meal he will definitely love it , but he didn't not even smell it , called him again and again to eat but he refuse even to smell. And at that night he vomit yellowish water. I didn't take seriously coz it seems to me like a normal and he was at that 1st day not seems so weak but he wasn't active. And next 2nd day morning he vomited Yellowish with blood ,I took him to a vet and continue to give him medication , glucose and to stop blood etc etc and doctor said nothing's serious . And after done glucose dripping for 2nd day at 12 pm, we took home and he then started having blood slimely and watery diarrhea. Omg I swear the smell in the room and outside is so intensely strong , I can't even imagine, he was a home dog so , he usually stay in our sofa and floor near me, as he is sick he is kept in my next room, I can keep outside but I have a feeling that I want to show more love that I can't put him outside the house as I thought it will make him feeleven more lonely as he is sick , the room has no window fitted so the smell, I can't get closer to him without holding my breath. That day evening he seems weaker. And on third day again after glucose dripping done at 12 pm at vet. When we took home and he stayed at a place we placed. But his eyes was still flikering. And the smell become more stronger I can't even tell. Then the smell is so strong that we can't stay inside our house .After an hour , decided to put him outside in clean comfort area. When I get near him , he didn't seems to move but he seems dead but his heart was still pumping, the smell is even more worst I had four layer of mask and still I had to hold the breathe to get near him . I picked him up and put it on the other side of the house , as I put him down his legs started shaking and making a wneening voice , that struck me deep in my heart and tears won't stop falling , and after few min at 3 pm he passes away on 3rd day. I don't understand I didn't delay to took him to a vet but still😩. I missed him so much. R.I.P TEDDY
Before I got older I depended on my parents to take care of all of the medical preventive measures for my dog. Then when I did get older and got my dogs I would schedule a medical routine with my Veterinarian. There are so many vaccines that a dog needs yearly. So basically I prepaid my VETERINARIAN for five years to insure that my dogs were vaccinated on time. Preventive medicine is LESS EXPENSIVE than the actual disease that requires long term hospitalization. Parvo vaccines are annually for adult dogs. I guess that is the reason why my dogs lived to be SEVENTEEN YEARS OLD. Of course you can't stop death. But you can give your dogs a longer and healthier life with SCHEDULED preventive medical measures. I was shocked to find out that even dogs get the flu that required flu vaccines. (Of course that was years ago).
I lost my puppy to Parvo, at least he was having the same symptoms. I did not know at the time. I last checked on him around 2 am, he was walking about on the porch wanting to drink water but couldn't because he knew he would throw it up. he tucked in the blanket and I was like cool let him sleep we'll go to the vet first thing in the morning. I checked again at around 3am before going to bed and he was gone

Please DON'T force feed the dog in initial few days , keep him on I.V line with all medications being injectables , aggressive hydration By IV fluids is the key.. orally given food can worsen vomiting and bacterial translocation.

As for my experience, it's better that your dog is in your care, not in the vet. Because you can force feed him twice a day. As for the homemade remedy/food, I mixed Turmeric Powder, 1 egg and 1tsp of sugar. Forced feed him using this mixture. You can give him all the mixture in 2 feeding sessions. Don't overfeed him. Give him also antibiotics. I saved my two puppies using this method.
My almost 4 Months puppy died Feb 8,2022 diagnosed with parvovirus though complete na sha sana, 8-in1, anti rabies, kennel cough vaccines . It was the saddest thing as Sunday ang bibo pa nya, Tuesday night namatay na sha sa vet clinic. I still think of him each day. Our family is still mourning, missing him too much. Fly high, Winter bam. We all love you.
I experienced the same and lost my three months old pup by this June 17...I searched in google abt her vomiting and diarrhea and it was like,its normal,it will be okay after a day or two...but then when we went to the vet he injected two injections one near the neck and one near the butt.after that we reached home and saw her but she was dead already.....so even if it's a small thing like vomiting in a small amount or anything plzzz go to the vet as soon as possible,don't let them suffer...🙂
vomiting and diarrhea might be normal in adult dogs, but in puppies less than 6 months old it might be life threatening....Thanks for sharing your story.. and sorry for ur loss :(

I just got a pug puppy today and he has Winston and I’m in tears because he’s such a sweet soul but he just got tired and vomited two times and pooped 5 times and the 5th time it had blood.He’s currently going to the vet and I really hope he gets better.
@@petlifecare867 Hello thanks for replying.Unfortunately he passed away about a few weeks ago.We couldn’t take him to the vet at the time so we decided instead of waiting all night we took him to the people we got him from so they could treat him because they offered to.He got better but sadly died from another disease that the other pugs he was with from the liter had all died from.

You did give the initial vaccines which surely saved your other dogs. Parvo is one of the dog diseases I have always been afraid of. I used to breed dogs but now I just have one litter of GSD puppies. The 5 way vaccine that includes parvo is luckily sold over the counter here at feed stores. I've given the first 2 five way shots to all of my puppies.
So true PARVO is too scary….. Previouslyy I was not aware that something like this can even take my pups life.. 😢 after that I have seen PARVO in almost 5 puppies and one adult dog in front of my eyes….. I helped the pet parents to save 4 of them …… what I observed is, all these got there first shot of vaccine and the second shot was delayed or ignored…… even after giving first dose these puppies got PARVO….. the second and 3rd booster dose also must be given on time and must not be delayed…..

I know that feel. Happened to me too. Everything feels dull and empty. She died painfully and went paralysed. Still dragged herself to me for help and I just could not make her better. This breaks my heart
I went to see a 9 week old puppy on Friday and fell in love with her immediately. She was so spunky with a fire cracker energy. I went to pick her up on Saturday and she was full of energy and I brought her home. She was drinking water, playing like a normal puppy and she ate her dinner. When I took her out in the evening she had her first stool and I noticed it was a creamy colour with a slight streak of blood which concerned me. She went to sleep in her crate and she cried a few times throughout the night which was expected being separated from her mom and siblings. Sunday morning she woke up at 5:30am so I took her out and she had another stool and it was creamy yellow. She went back to sleep in her crate. At 7:00 am I woke her up to feed her breakfast and she refused to eat or drink. all she wanted to do was go in the crate and sleep. At 8:30 am I took her out of the crate and she vomited clear liquid and had another stool same colour but with 3 blood droplets so I immediately contacted the breeder and told him her symptoms and told him I googled search what it might be and Parvovirus was coming up the most as a possibility. He told me his other pets were fine and never had a parvovirus case before. I told him that if she didn’t get tested ASAP it could be fatal and he came within an hour to pick her up to take her to the vet. A few hours later he called to confirm she tested positive. He’s grateful that I was a quick thinker and contacted him 16 hours from the time I picked her up. I’ve been so worried about her and call him everyday to check on her. Today (Monday) I called him again to check in on her and he said she been drinking water and she’s on a liquid diet. She’s isolated from other pets and is a bit more active. He wants to refund me in full while she’s recovering and gave me an option to put me first on the list to repurchase her again once she’s got the ok from the vet to be re-homed. Ruby, the 9 week old puppy survived Parvo! Once she was well enough, the breeder re-homed her to a family member. When she left I cleaned and disinfected my house and yard with bleach top to bottom. A month later I brought home a 9 week old puppy and a few days later took her to the vet for a checkup and she tested positive with Giardia. I did my best cleaning and disinfected everything and 2 1/2 weeks later she tested positive with Parvo and sadly she died. Her tiny little body couldn’t fight both Giardia and Parvo. She was only 11 weeks old...a baby 😢. My heart is so broken that no matter how much I cleaned, bleached, changed her bedding daily, disinfected her toys daily, washed her bowels several times a day with boiling hot water, cleaned her bum after every stool and pee and made sure to always changed her pee pad, washed my clothes with hot water and kept all outdoor shoes nowhere near her, Parvo still managed to get her. I miss my sweet little fire cracker baby Sofie.💕
@@landonwaddell7564 if you took your pup to the vet in time when your pup started having symptoms the pup should pull through and make a 90% recovery. At least that was the case for Ruby.
@@maggiea793 you would have taken back Ruby. Pups that survive parvo tend to never get it again cause their systems build immunity towards it unless they come in contact with a different strain which tends to be quite rare. So you should have taken Ruby back or stay without a pup for at least a year or two. Parvo is really hard to kill in an environment once it gets in. So sorry about Sofie.
My 8 weeks puppy died yesterday of parvovirus although we identified that it was parvovirus from the vet. Inspire of 3 consecutive days of treatment from the veterinary we lost him yesterday. It was a golden retriever pup 😭it’s really heartbreaking to see the dog suffering from this virus and quickly takes away the life of a dog . Pet owners should be very careful with their pets as they are our part of life. Only a dog lover can understand the pain of losing them.
My baby dog who is 7 months old right now is in the emergency room hospital with positive parvo. Prayers for him. He is taking a treatment at hospital at the moment he is doing good but still with deshidratation
I lived in a remote village and got my first puppy. He got sick and started vomiting and had runny Stool. There were a ton of worms in it, so we thought it was worms. He got to the point he could hardly stand and was wobbling. I had to kennel him and put him on a plane. He got 1/2 way with 2 flights and they said they won't fly him the rest of the way if someone wasn't with him. I had to call around and found someone from the village and they flew him the rest of the way and the vet picked him up at the airport. He was at the vets for over a week. He ended up surviving and I got lucky... Cost a ton of money to save him and Vaccinations would have been way cheaper.... Really horrible.... But we got him in 2005 and he lasted until 2020 and he was an amazing dog and well worth the money to save his life. He was amazingly well behaved, trained easily and was an amazing hunting companion.... I feel horrible for any dog that suffers through this and also feel for the owners that emotionally suffer... Sorry for your dogs loss...

I can't believe the vet didn't hospitalize the pup. They need lots of fluids, zofran for vomiting, isolation. Really, some veterinarian. I had two rescues and both had parvo. I took them to the hospital and they were treated for a few days and were able to survive.

Hey Harini, My dog is also suffering from Parvo.We had given him the first Vaccine for the parvo virus but he caught the virus just 2 days before we should give the second vaccine. Hii take him to vet and get tested for parvo... yellow vomit sometimes happens due to not giving deworming... looking at the symptoms you say, it might not be parvo .... But still get ur dog tested for parvo. If positive get him treated for it..

Sweetie I am so sorry to hear your story. I just lost a dog three days ago to an intestinal blockage. He ate hair ties but didn’t show signs until his intestines were already in necrosis. I’ve been blaming myself all week and my vet told me I can as fast as my dog showed symptoms. I still hate myself thinking I missed something. I don’t even know how he got the hair ties since they’re all stored away. It’s heartbreaking to hear what you went through because my dog did the same thing only with vomit not diarrhea. my chihuahua had parvo virus and the vet turned us away because we didn't have any money. so I force fed my dog Gatorade. I was awake for 2 weeks, and long story short, it saved my dog's life. GATORADE! 👍👍

I saved a pup from parvo a few weeks ago. I bought some bactricillin g, bought two syringes and used one for pedialyte and the other for gerber babyfood. You have to force the pup/dog to eat/drink thru the syringe. They will NOT eat on their own. I only had the pup two days and I noticed that her poop looked like raspberry jelly. After 4 days of doing this she was 100% better. You have to basically keep them hydrated with the pedialyte. Dollar Tree has it cheap.

@@thayastyles544 I only fed her pedialyte. It was the generic dollar tree brand. I also tried a method a guy on UA-cam mentioned which was....use a needle and syringe to inject water subcutaneously under the skin so it forms a bubble and they can hydrate themselves that way....similar to an IV. But that was too time consuming. The pedialyte and gerber baby food worked. After about 4 days she was a lot better. Once I noticed her eating from my other pups bowl on her own I knew she was on the way to getting better. After about two weeks she was a totally different pup. Mind you, i only had the pup for two full days before I realized she probably had parvo.
@@thayastyles544 also....if you feed water by syringe I'd only use purified water, distilled water or spring water. Just my preference.

@@shemonarawat1033 keep doing that until it's vomit and diarrhoea stops.. once done get yourself ORS and curd and coconut water.. keep feeding every 2 hours. Mine didn't eat for 2-3 days post recovery. So I started force feeding him using a syringe and his medicine routine is very important. Compulsorily get Liv52 and ask your vet for the correct dose. Mine started eating today on his own so I'm very happy. Just remember this keep him alive anyhow.

My puppy started with symptoms early Monday morning (now Friday), we took him to the vet on Wednesday and they treated him for the vomiting but he still continued so we took him back yesterday and they admitted him and they called us this morning and told us that they had him on fluids and from when we left him at the vet he hasn't vomitted since. I had two pomeranian pup one was affected with parvo and he died another one is also affected by the same,then I took him to veternary and injected ,still he is vomiting and inactive . He searched for cold place instead of his favorite place Bed(bed for me, he loved to sleep near my foot on my bed)
1st day started vomit undigested food
later on same day night,start bloody diarrhea with bad smell.
The next day i started treatment with a local vet.
He never stop drinking and i hope he will ok soon.
On 2nd day of treatment,evening he died.

I tried keeping them in warm place but they still go to the cold place.. they refused to eat and drink..even i force fed them, they vomit it all. my dog died yesterday by parvo.
The greatest advice I can give to anyone is "Keep your dog hydrated!!!". Don't let the vet tell you this "parvo is deadly" shit (They want you to admit your dog into treatment with them costing you a limb) because it really ain't. Your dog being dehydrated is deadly. Your dog is not going to wanna eat but what you can do is boil up some potatoes and mash it with a little bit of chicken broth and a little bit of honey. Scoop little by little with a finger and force feed it to them every hour. Giving them too much will cause them to vomit resulting in severe dehydration. We cured our dog at home with things that will most likely be in your cupboard. we also gave our dog a table spoon (for our big dog) and tea spoon (for our pup) of Pedialyte (for children also found in your local chemist) every 30mins followed with rubbing honey on their gums. We did this for like 3-4 days then their back to their selves eating and drinking. Every vet we went to told us our dogs will die and that treatment will be $7000. We obviously proved them wrong so be cautious of the hands you try to place your dogs in. They are much safer in your own. Hope this helps xx

@@layylayy5061 it’s so sad seeing them like this, so sorry that yours is going through this. So what you would do is only scoop up a little by little onto your finger and just put it into her mouth. Or grab pedialyte (for kids) from your local chemist and give them a cap or use a syringe would be easier and just force it into their mouth. This will help them stay hydrated till they find the strength to drink a little or eat.
@@layylayy5061 you don’t need to fully open her mouth, if you could just gently squeeze it into her mouth by lifting one side of her lip up and rubbing it on her gums should be good enough. As long as she isn’t left without anything going into her. Use the honey and run into her gums every 30mins to an 1hr. This will also help her stay hydrated with the compounds found in honey.

Just lost my baby boy yesterday night to parvo. It has to be 1 of the most saddest thing to see. Please make sure to always vaccinate your pet...by any means necessary. Its so easy to miss these symptoms before its too late. Truthfully if you dont catch the symptoms in the first 24-36 hours...I dont believe any dog could make it..even tho Im not a professional. This guy in our neighborhood known as the dog man told me to put a teaspoon of beach in some milk and pour it into my dogs mouth- I know this sounds CRAZY but my dog was dying and I didn’t have any other options cause I was flat broke. He suggested if I wanted to take care to hydrate my dog 24/7 for a week she might pull through. I outfitted the playhouse my husband put in the yard for the children for a small hospital and stayed with the dog almost constantly just squeezing water into the side of her mouth with a clean wash cloth. It took a few days and nights with her and then one morning she just woke up herself again! My bet was quite surprised saying he understood the dedication it would take to do this at home. You were also quite dedicated but your veterinarian system was hampered by covid. My thoughts go out to you!
I am so sorry for your loss. My puppy was diagnosed with a Parvo two days ago after I took him to the vet on Sunday and sent his stool away for testing. He did survive without hospitalization but I am I train Veterinary systems. I feel terrible that you had to watch that I am hoping your other puppy is OK

Had a puppy for less than five months, he was very energetic in the morning but in the afternoon, he began limping on his right leg. He became very moody and self-isolated. In the evening, he began vomiting this white foam and some salivary substances. Woke up in the morning to see he has passed on.

Sorry for your loss. I too couldn’t take my puppy to get vaccinations due to COVID. However, I researched “how to administer vaccines?” I found multiple DIY videos showing how and where to get the vaccines. Thankfully I was able to give my puppy his vaccines on my own. I buy all my vaccines from Tractor Supply Company in my area for all of my dogs and puppies. It is very easy to do AND I’m saving a lot of money by doing it myself.

I had a six months old lab puppy.
He usually had meal at 9 am.
On 1st day , he refused to eat , even after calling him again and again and after every hour and forced and around 3 pm I forced him to eat like putting it in his mouth gently but didn't eat and I thought it would be just a normal stomach upset and thought he would surely eat at night meal. I went to shop and bought puppy pedigree taste up meal which was his favorite which cost 200/- and I was quite sure as he skipped morning meal he will definitely love it , but he didn't not even smell it , called him again and again to eat but he refuse even to smell. And at that night he vomit yellowish water.
I didn't take seriously coz it seems to me like a normal and he was at that 1st day not seems so weak but he wasn't active.
And next 2nd day morning he vomited Yellowish with blood ,I took him to a vet and continue to give him medication , glucose and to stop blood etc etc and doctor said nothing's serious . And after done glucose dripping for 2nd day at 12 pm, we took home and he then started having blood slimely and watery diarrhea. Omg I swear the smell in the room and outside is so intensely strong , I can't even imagine, he was a home dog so , he usually stay in our sofa and floor near me, as he is sick he is kept in my next room, I can keep outside but I have a feeling that I want to show more love that I can't put him outside the house as I thought it will make him feeleven more lonely as he is sick , the room has no window fitted so the smell, I can't get closer to him without holding my breath.
That day evening he seems weaker. And on third day again after glucose dripping done at 12 pm at vet. When we took home and he stayed at a place we placed. But his eyes was still flikering. And the smell become more stronger I can't even tell. Then the smell is so strong that we can't stay inside our house .After an hour , decided to put him outside in clean comfort area. When I get near him , he didn't seems to move but he seems dead but his heart was still pumping, the smell is even more worst I had four layer of mask and still I had to hold the breathe to get near him . I picked him up and put it on the other side of the house , as I put him down his legs started shaking and making a wneening voice , that struck me deep in my heart and tears won't stop falling , and after few min at 3 pm he passes away on 3rd day. I don't understand I didn't delay to took him to a vet but still😩. I missed him so much.

Before I got older I depended on my parents to take care of all of the medical preventive measures for my dog. Then when I did get older and got my dogs I would schedule a medical routine with my Veterinarian. There are so many vaccines that a dog needs yearly.
So basically I prepaid my VETERINARIAN for five years to insure that my dogs were vaccinated on time.
Preventive medicine is LESS EXPENSIVE than the actual disease that requires long term hospitalization. Parvo vaccines are annually for adult dogs.
I guess that is the reason why my dogs lived to be SEVENTEEN YEARS OLD.
Of course you can't stop death. But you can give your dogs a longer and healthier life with SCHEDULED preventive medical measures. I was shocked to find out that even dogs get the flu that required flu vaccines. (Of course that was years ago).
I lost my puppy to Parvo, at least he was having the same symptoms. I did not know at the time. I last checked on him around 2 am, he was walking about on the porch wanting to drink water but couldn't because he knew he would throw it up. he tucked in the blanket and I was like cool let him sleep we'll go to the vet first thing in the morning. I checked again at around 3am before going to bed and he was gone
There needs to be more information provided on the dangers. Had someone told me that this parvo fucking thing could kill in hours my babies would still be alive.

Please DON'T force feed the dog in initial few days , keep him on I.V line with all medications being injectables , aggressive hydration By IV fluids is the key.. orally given food can worsen vomiting and bacterial translocation.

As for my experience, it's better that your dog is in your care, not in the vet. Because you can force feed him twice a day. As for the homemade remedy/food, I mixed Turmeric Powder, 1 egg and 1tsp of sugar. Forced feed him using this mixture. You can give him all the mixture in 2 feeding sessions. Don't overfeed him. Give him also antibiotics.
I saved my two puppies using this method.

It was the saddest thing as Sunday ang bibo pa nya, Tuesday night namatay na sha sa vet clinic. I still think of him each day. Our family is still mourning, missing him too much. I experienced the same and lost my three months old pup by this June 17...I searched in google abt her vomiting and diarrhea and it was like,its normal,it will be okay after a day or two...but then when we went to the vet he injected two injections one near the neck and one near the butt.after that we reached home and saw her but she was dead already.....so even if it's a small thing like vomiting in a small amount or anything plzzz go to the vet as soon as possible,don't let them suffer...🙂
vomiting and diarrhea might be normal in adult dogs, but in puppies less than 6 months old it might be life threatening....Thanks for sharing your story.. and sorry for ur loss :(

You did give the initial vaccines which surely saved your other dogs. Parvo is one of the dog diseases I have always been afraid of. I used to breed dogs but now I just have one litter of GSD puppies. The 5 way vaccine that includes parvo is luckily sold over the counter here at feed stores. I've given the first 2 five way shots to all of my puppies.
So true PARVO is too scary….. Previouslyy I was not aware that something like this can even take my pups life.. 😢 after that I have seen PARVO in almost 5 puppies and one adult dog in front of my eyes….. I helped the pet parents to save 4 of them …… what I observed is, all these got there first shot of vaccine and the second shot was delayed or ignored…… even after giving first dose these puppies got PARVO….. the second and 3rd booster dose also must be given on time and must not be delayed…..

I'm sorry for your lost. I lost my two 11 month old puppies today and I will never forgive myself.
I went to see a 9 week old puppy on Friday and fell in love with her immediately. She was so spunky with a fire cracker energy. I went to pick her up on Saturday and she was full of energy and I brought her home. She was drinking water, playing like a normal puppy and she ate her dinner. When I took her out in the evening she had her first stool and I noticed it was a creamy colour with a slight streak of blood which concerned me. She went to sleep in her crate and she cried a few times throughout the night which was expected being separated from her mom and siblings. Sunday morning she woke up at 5:30am so I took her out and she had another stool and it was creamy yellow. She went back to sleep in her crate. At 7:00 am I woke her up to feed her breakfast and she refused to eat or drink. all she wanted to do was go in the crate and sleep. At 8:30 am I took her out of the crate and she vomited clear liquid and had another stool same colour but with 3 blood droplets so I immediately contacted the breeder and told him her symptoms and told him I googled search what it might be and Parvovirus was coming up the most as a possibility. He told me his other pets were fine and never had a parvovirus case before. I told him that if she didn’t get tested ASAP it could be fatal and he came within an hour to pick her up to take her to the vet. A few hours later he called to confirm she tested positive. He’s grateful that I was a quick thinker and contacted him 16 hours from the time I picked her up. I’ve been so worried about her and call him everyday to check on her. Today (Monday) I called him again to check in on her and he said she been drinking water and she’s on a liquid diet. She’s isolated from other pets and is a bit more active. He wants to refund me in full while she’s recovering and gave me an option to put me first on the list to repurchase her again once she’s got the ok from the vet to be re-homed. I pray she makes a full recovery, if that will ever be possible for a parvo survivor because she is the sweetest darling who deserves to live life to the fullest.
Ruby, the 9 week old puppy survived Parvo! Once she was well enough, the breeder re-homed her to a family member. When she left I cleaned and disinfected my house and yard with bleach top to bottom. A month later I brought home a 9 week old puppy and a few days later took her to the vet for a checkup and she tested positive with Giardia. I did my best cleaning and disinfected everything and 2 1/2 weeks later she tested positive with Parvo and sadly she died. Her tiny little body couldn’t fight both Giardia and Parvo. She was only 11 weeks old...a baby 😢. My heart is so broken that no matter how much I cleaned, bleached, changed her bedding daily, disinfected her toys daily, washed her bowels several times a day with boiling hot water, cleaned her bum after every stool and pee and made sure to always changed her pee pad, washed my clothes with hot water and kept all outdoor shoes nowhere near her, Parvo still managed to get her. I miss my sweet little fire cracker baby Sofie.💕

@@landonwaddell7564 if you took your pup to the vet in time when your pup started having symptoms the pup should pull through and make a 90% recovery. At least that was the case for Ruby.
@@maggiea793 you would have taken back Ruby. Pups that survive parvo tend to never get it again cause their systems build immunity towards it unless they come in contact with a different strain which tends to be quite rare. So you should have taken Ruby back or stay without a pup for at least a year or two. Parvo is really hard to kill in an environment once it gets in. So sorry about Sofie.
My 8 weeks puppy died yesterday of parvovirus although we identified that it was parvovirus from the vet. Inspire of 3 consecutive days of treatment from the veterinary we lost him yesterday. It was a golden retriever pup 😭it’s really heartbreaking to see the dog suffering from this virus and quickly takes away the life of a dog . Pet owners should be very careful with their pets as they are our part of life. Only a dog lover can understand the pain of losing them.

I lived in a remote village and got my first puppy. He got sick and started vomiting and had runny Stool. There were a ton of worms in it, so we thought it was worms. He got to the point he could hardly stand and was wobbling. I had to kennel him and put him on a plane. He got 1/2 way with 2 flights and they said they won't fly him the rest of the way if someone wasn't with him. I had to call around and found someone from the village and they flew him the rest of the way and the vet picked him up at the airport. He was at the vets for over a week. He ended up surviving and I got lucky... Cost a ton of money to save him and Vaccinations would have been way cheaper.... Really horrible.... But we got him in 2005 and he lasted until 2020 and he was an amazing dog and well worth the money to save his life. He was amazingly well behaved, trained easily and was an amazing hunting companion.... I feel horrible for any dog that suffers through this and also feel for the owners that emotionally suffer... Sorry for your dogs loss...

I can't believe the vet didn't hospitalize the pup. They need lots of fluids, zofran for vomiting, isolation. Really, some veterinarian. I had two rescues and both had parvo. I took them to the hospital and they were treated for a few days and were able to survive.

We took him to the vet right after two days when he caught the virus. He vomit something yellow twice a day. He doesn't have diarrhea much. He lost so much of weight within 2 days?? Will he recovers??
Hii take him to vet and get tested for parvo... yellow vomit sometimes happens due to not giving deworming... looking at the symptoms you say, it might not be parvo .... But still get ur dog tested for parvo. If positive get him treated for it..

He doesn't always sleep though and doesn't have diarrhea much. He walks small distances. He vomit a yellow liquid like 3 times today. I am really scared. Last year my pomeranian died from Parvo. Get him treated.. also check with ur doctor if he ll give salines.. if not then ask him to give it.. only then ur dog can recover faster..
