I have you say it's fantastic to have someone like yourself showing that anyone no matter what their background can enjoy getting in the workshop and getting dirty. I often find as a mechanic it can turn people off from taking me seriously as a photographer and pushes me into a certain demographic. Massive respect for this Chanel and I hope that it will help open people's eye's to how creative both passions are 👊
I will say owning the very same model, this will be a very reliable car. As i commented in the earlier video, i got mine for VERY cheap and it is the best car i have owned. :D
Amazing! It is at once suspenseful and terrifying watching you get closer to starting the engine. Man, congratulations. This seems phenomenal for your first time. You're getting a lot of video made at the same time as well. One or two more episodes maybe until you drive it! Cheers!
Bro the quality on this channel and videos just in general is crazy. You should definetely have a bigger following. i came from the V70R video where you fixed the transmission & AWD and am now binge watching the rest of your vids
bro, I love how excited you are for this channel, so so sick. Not many people I can think of that have an interest both film and automotive! Keep it up homie!
I’ve been working on my Volvo 850 for three years now and daily driving it (it was supposed to be scrapped in 2019 but I took it instead), and I just love seeing more Volvo content! Especially with this level of quality. Can’t wait to see more!
Hi Willem! I have a 2004 V70 2.5t in need of some attention to get it road worthy. This series will be a major source of inspo! Awesome work, both on the car and the visuals!
Loving these videos - congrats on all the progress! Looking forward to following along as you build it out. Giving me inspiration to tackle more projects on my Land Cruiser 👌
So wait this dude makes photography books, shoots celebrities, does commercial work and rebuilds cars too, cheers to you brother!!!! How can I buy a copy of your book or an older one? I don’t see them available on your site. Love your work.
The chair for the transmission killed me, it's so funny but really clever XD That being said, I've found your channel less than a month ago, and watched almost all of your videos by now, and I have never found a car channel with such a good vibe. It's chill and very well detailed, I could watch hours of your car content really (I've already done it with all your videos) I love your editing style, and how you're so chill about everything, without being over the top like other channels I wish your channel to grow a good community of car people :D
I love the white color! Looks really premium! These here in europe regularly see 500k kms, no matter diesel or gas, these are reliable vehicles. wish you many joyful miles! :)
Dude this is awesome! This makes me want to fix my Volvo 740 wagon! I just need to source and new transmission! I Love watching your videos and again I’m so excited you made a channel about cars!
Great content, Ive got a v50 t5 with a 5 cyl turbo engine. Very reliable machines , never had a issue with it. 200k miles and still runs like new. Where do you live ? Amazing wheater btw.
Verb, your idle issue reminds me of a leaking intake manifold gasket I had on my Subaru Legacy. Smoke testing wouldn't show a leak, it would hold pressure and boost well, but under vacuum (like off throttle and coming to a stop) it would leak and act like a vacuum line leaking, i.e. run very lean and stumble. Maybe this helps you a bit. I found the leak doing a reverse smoke test, smoking outside the engine and see where its drawn in while snapping the throttle.
Man, that's great work, keep it up! I just want to tell you that you are missing something that looks like a strut bar, but it's OEM and it's connected to upper engine mount :D
Yup, saw that bar already mounted in the next video. Hoping to see many more videos of you working on Volvos, as I do own 1999 S80 and I love that car ❤️ Also, I’ve changed all 6 plugs with this bar on the car in my Volvo with no problem whatsoever, maybe in S60/V70 there is less space in the engine bay than in S80 🤔 Greetings from Poland, man! 🇵🇱
@wheelemverb How much knowledge of engines did you have prior to this project and where did you start your research? Do you have any resources or advice? I have a 2003 Volvo v70 automatic base model with 234,000 miles on it. It was my parents car. Lots of memories and I’d love to keep it going as long as I can. Thanks!
Good stuff. Subscribed. Did the machine shop press in all the bushings you needed? Did you have to source them? I would be curious to see more details on bushings for beginners!
Hey man did you replace all the engine mounts too? I bought an S60 and like all the mounts were crap. Really improves the driving experience if they're new!
Superb...I own an 04 XC70...love it...and Volvo wagons......you've done amazing work...as has your buddy... Once all mechanically sound...you dress it...tint the windows...get a roof rack and cargo box on, get that Volvo Euro look...(has to be Thule though)....going to be epic
now this is quality content if ive ever seen it
Glad to see your supporting your brother😭, tell him he’s doing a good job and it’s very enjoyable to watch
Ohh fr. Nice thorough and clean video. You killed it again Mr. Verbeeck 😭🐐💪
When you get it finished you should take fast in the furious style portraits with it
Boosting your engagement I see
dude you do car shit? had no idea fuck yeah
Everyone needs to have a guy like Hector.
Love that dude fr
Sorry he couldn't be there to see the first startup
I never knew I would be hooked up to an old volvo wagon engine swap videos but when its Wheelem you it's interesting.
What i like is tour ZEN approach to both photography and car renovating!
I believe that most of us want to see UA-camrs succeed. The story is terrific and you share it in a logical way. Thanks.
Much appreciated! Thank you
my favourite series on UA-cam right now

Boy i have no idea what this guy is talking about but i sure do love supporting him
This channel is an absolute gem. Really happy I found you. Keep doing you!
The moment the car started was a thing of beauty …… smooth and silent ,well done
I will say owning the very same model, this will be a very reliable car. As i commented in the earlier video, i got mine for VERY cheap and it is the best car i have owned. :D
Thats awesome!!

Thank you so much Bob! It will be out driving in the next video :)
Bro the quality on this channel and videos just in general is crazy. You should definetely have a bigger following.

Loving this. Not used to seeing “simple” car content. Everything on UA-cam always has to be so extra. Still a shit ton of work I’m sure.
1000HP QUAD TURBO VOLVO V70 AWD CONVERSION????????
Jokes aside Im glad you like it, I personally only enjoy watching content about attainable cars for the most part.
this one was the most exciting fr!! when the car finally started it was so fireee
Thank you dude :')

I appreciate it man! Thanks for watching.

The quality of this channel is super satisfying Willem, just outta the park.
Recently I started getting more into mechanics and this... this is the best of two worlds!
Hi Willem! I have a 2004 V70 2.5t in need of some attention to get it road worthy. This series will be a major source of inspo! Awesome work, both on the car and the visuals!
Something incredibly satisfying watching this all coming together
Loving these videos - congrats on all the progress! Looking forward to following along as you build it out. Giving me inspiration to tackle more projects on my Land Cruiser 👌
Thank you! Go for it!!
so happy to see this come up!
Man, you are crushing it! I am really enjoying your adventure and rooting hard for your success!
So wait this dude makes photography books, shoots celebrities, does commercial work and rebuilds cars too, cheers to you brother!!!! How can I buy a copy of your book or an older one? I don’t see them available on your site. Love your work.

Proficiat Willem, goed gedaan 👍
You’re as inspiring as always. Keep it up!
Keep it up dude, between this and the other channel you’re just killing it at youtube and life in general❤
Going crazy mane ! Love to see the progress and the way everything is being shot. Ready for the next video !
Really fun to watch!
Nice work man, on both the car and the videos.

Left it off because I knew I had a misfire right off the bat and you can service coils and plugs with it on!
Cant*

Excellent vid man
Nice v70!!!!!🥰
"I'm currently balls deep in the ass of the process of fixing up an $800 Volvo..."
Good stuff! Did you have to update the engine control module to pair with the replacement engine?
So good!
Hey man did you replace all the engine mounts too? I bought an S60 and like all the mounts were crap. Really improves the driving experience if they're new!
Got to get me one of those.
Nice job, nice content! Are your roots or your family from Belgium or the Netherlands? You have zero accent but … the last name haha😂…
Yes! From Belgium. Lived there for 8 years :)
Let’s goooo
watching this is a guilty pleasure, are you convinced that anyone with google can do this? in terms of gathering knowledge :)
