I really miss the colors that where used back in the 80's and 90's so taking the time and saving the paint jobs is always worth it ..... they need to bring back the colors!!!!

I normally use a sponge buffing pad and a drill for the T-Cut and the wax polishing.

After 10 years since my last retro-build, I just completed another bike last month. I caught the retro bug again and just discovered your channel. Love it, dude! Greetings from SoCal, and thanks for the great content.

VERY cool! Thanks for being so thorough and informative. I have a CRUUUUUSTY bike (step-through frame) with an amazing pink paint job coming in, which i saved from the landfill. Your video was published at exactly the right time.

Sometimes you have to go further and reapply a gloss clearcoat to get that original shine. It’s more durable long term and frankly not that difficult to achieve a super high gloss. Just make sure you let it cure in the right temps for a couple weeks before bolting anything back on it.

Totally agree, in this case the rust was so bad in some areas it was best to repair and restore as much as I could.
But when I get bikes with no damage or are aluminium, clear coat is the one!

Hello, do you have a particular clear coat product to recommend? Thanks!

After T-Cut bud use Autoglym Resin polish and you won’t believe just how good it goes after that.
That’s what I do at Bimble Bikes

Hi what kind of rust converter do you use? Is Hammerite Kurust any good?

If you are rubbing in the Tcut and nothing is happening, just make sure you shook the tin thoroughly first😂. Thought I had bought a duff tin before the penny dropped.
