@@et34t34fdf no. Outsourcing raw material isn't always for cost efficiency. Sometimes foreign countries make the best material out there. Maybe if MAGA was talking about insintivising production of these things, but it is all about blanket tarrifs.

Yes. Indies in the house. Although I am Democrat, I really want more Indies to get involved and to keep pushing to get seats. Not going to lie it will affect both sides of the aisle, but I feel that is a good thing. We are not built on just two ideas conservative, and Democrat, we are built on everybody having their own beliefs and ideas and everyone should have a voice. This is what you call a healthy disruption, not trying to break down the whole system.

Dan, Seek financial support from the Harris Campaign. So many GOP leaders are supporting her simply to oust the do-nothing Republicans in the Senate and House.
He can't, or else he will lose. Nebraska is a deep red state that votes for Trump. Accepting campaign funds from Harris would not only end his campaign but also defeat the purpose of running as a Independent

Just got our ballots in the mail yesterday here in Red NE. My husband and I are voting for Dan! I wouldn't know Deb Fisher in a crowd! I wouldn't know Adrian Smith, either... Shows how much they get out in the state. :/

Money does drown out what policies people like to see. Then there is just stupid partisanship. The infrastructure bill was opposed by Republicans when it is obvious there really are bridges and other things that need to be fixed and maintained. Government basic job. Fix the potholes.

We in Nebraska got our mail in ballots today. I've voted for Dan. As he said, Deb hasn't said anything about her record. She's running on being endorsed by Donald Trump. I will never vote for anyone endorsed by Donald Trump.

I wish Dan Osborne had a little bit better talking point to show what Fisher may not have been doing for the state so he can show why people are voting for him. Hopefully vote for him. There is one point that he made that I see is a constant, especially with the Republicans and that is that he went out and talk with people and quickly started flogging and giving him signatures again all that we want we just want people to talk to us that happens during the Harris term. If not, then they have to hold her and everyone accountable as a matter fact, not just dump everything on Harris. They really need to put their representatives on notice that you guys got to talk to people and just hide up in the capital.

Here in Maine, we have a fantastic independent senator, Angus King. Smart, thoughtful, measured, always on our side and supportive of the rule of law.
In Nebraska it’s 47% Registered Repubs. 26% Registered Independents, 26% Registered Democrats.

I feel like Dan Osborn would get much more help from Harris and Walz than he ever would with Trump and Vance. Tim Walz also grew up in Nebraska and understands the importance of Farming culture.

I’ve said for a long time that the two-party system does more to divide us than unite us. It’s even worse now that one party openly opposes bipartisanship. Therefore, electing Independents is a great solution that is not beholden to either side. They can use critical thinking to best legislate on behalf of their constituents.
Best wishes to Dan Osborn. A functioning Congress, with a majority of ethical men and women, could do so much good for the country. The MAGA failures must go, must at least be out-numbered by people who care about progress and fairness and morality.

Yes, either the conservative Liberal coalition or the Labor Party still win any state or federal election BUT both the minor party candidates and independents also win seats in parliament and senate and DO matter and quite often hold the balance of power.

We need more independents. We have far more in common...even far left and far right...than the media or politicians want us to believe. There will always be a handful of issues that we can't agree on, but in MOST cases there's common ground that the vast majority of American's can agree on.
I hope to goodness we can get rid of Do-Nothing Deb. I can't think of a single piece of legislation that she has authored or co-sponsored that has actually benefitted the people in NE, aside from the ultra-wealthy.

If I were there he’d have my vote. I’m also an independent, mostly because I’ve heard a lot of dumb from both sides over the years. But this year I’m compelled to vote blue and independent all the way down the ballot. I think the vast majority of republicans need a timeout and learn that MAGA is not what the country needs
His equating Democrats with republicans at THIS point in US history is problematic. I've been donating to him from Colorado, but I have an increasing sense of the possibility that Osborn might be a bearded kyrsten sinema. I can't imagine that he truly believes that trump's party is the same as Harris's party. To equate the two may win some recalcitrant republicans, but it serves to make experienced Democrats a little nervous.
