Oct-1939. North Sea. AN37. Proceeding patrol mission as ordered.
Nothing happened. It just sea water, sun, moon, stars and lots of neutral merchants.
B-dienst(Naval Intelligence Service) sent me the coordinate of enemy convoy. I can intercept them.
Contacted with convoy. Three britain merchants. Engaged with five torpedoes(G7a, T1). 2 impacted , 2 missed, 1 impacted but no effect. 1 merchant was sunk. 8656tons.
Executed autocannon fire to another merchants to damage ship and cargo; around 2200 autocannon rounds left. I saw eyes of merchant sailors at the bridge. They were terrified.
29-10-1939. Arrived at Kiel.
Home sweet home with bitter heart. We need rest for next patrol. I wish that no officer dead at bar fight.
