"they are getting thrown around on there, not havibg a fun time on that thing" Over on the freighter, some fool has just said aloud "god, can this get any worse?"
Great attack! Freighter had a draft of 6.0 meters so in normal weather the torp might have bounced off too low, but the way the ship was rolling gave it just enought bite angle to explode.
Great vid. Q: was the UZO simply fixed to the pedestal on a rotating mount, or was there a more stabilised, perhaps gimbal mount which would give a more stabilised view in rolling seas? Always looking fwd to the next episodes!
I think it was simply fixed, since I've never heard anyone talk about there even being an optional upgrade available to help stabilize it 😕 Would love to hear someone more knowledgeable than myself chime in about it, though 🙂
Perfect plotting and execution!!I always estimate the perpendicular course to the enemy without the attack disk (since it doesnt work in my game and it is confusing) by visualizing the cartesian coordinate system by turning the two axis in order one of them to represent the enemy course and the other gives me the optimal 90 degree attack course which is faster to me. PS:How do you deal with corrupted saves?
some say loading an academy mission then exiting to main menu before loading the save sometimes works. Best practice is to always follow the save guidelines, which only minimizes chances of corruption but doesn't prevent it completely. It's an old, fiddly engine
@@JoeyTillman Thanks for the advice!Yesterday i attacked a convoy sinking 3 ships and later another 2 unescorted merchants but all 3 saves after that were corrupted even though i follow the save guidelines most of the time and i have to start the patrol again since i have no other save.Quite frustrating since i spent 2 hours playing and another one just for checking if the saves are loading.
@@vaggelissmyrniotis2194 very frustrating, especially losing the convoy engagements. I've tried to be stoic and remember that the experience and learning weren't lost at least. Saving within the guidelines can be tough, sometimes convoy reports appear after you've already saved, sometimes I've had saves lost when convoys were more than 50 kms away. Still i keep coming back for that sweet, sweet sh3 hit
@JoeyTillman All sh3 players know that feeling but the worst thing is that i am currently in feb 1943 when successful convoy attacks and escaping undetected start to get rare while playing in 100% realism.
Nice shot, that thing almost flipped over on its own. You are being too kind in my opinion, hopefully it doesn't become a safety detriment in the future.
He did his due diligence checking for aircraft beforehand, and I doubt he would have if he had thought they had had the time to send out a distress call beforehand. She just went down *so damn fast*... I really don't blame him for doing what he did 😕 Personally, I think it takes bravery to be *that* doggedly and calculatingly chivalrous - His determination in trying to help them, even if just a little bit, just makes me respect him all the more 🥲
When "Up is down" is your favourite track from Pirates of the Caribbean
Top heavy with all those guns, hehe

The way he was rolling on those waves, he probably would've swamped himself in short order and sunk anyway. Lol.

She rolled over in seconds.
And once again excellent lessons on tracking and targeting and enemy vessel.
Well Done, Sir!
A perfect shot with luck and math on your side!
I love this content and do please keep it coming!🍻
Can't believe that shot hit. Clean!
Great episode! Did you give the survivors a can opener? haha
I love the sound effects *blub blub blub* 😅 12/10 very realistic ❤
Awesome kill Captian, I was shocked when i saw their emergency flare under water. Great episode.
Ah, so this is why the thumbnail looks upside down. I thought it was just my Australian internet.
Doing your duty with a heart.
❤
I’m behind on my sub sim fix, but rest assured that I will watch it in the next day or so. Always great content with many great days!
That hit was really satisfying. Excellent work, mate.
I really like the new ship models people have made - that ship was not one of the original vessels released when it came out
Dare I say that you encountered some sort of top-secret submarine design made by the Australians?
Great writing!

...And that's why I love you, Toncs: Deadly, calculating... but merciful and chivalrous in victory. Good on ya 🥲
Great Show
Off topic, but will you be doing another Graviteam Tactics game? I had never heard of it until your far escape campaign and it was brilliant!
Great vid.

Perfect!
You used the four bearing method right? Is it historic? Did uboat commanders use it?

"I understood that reference..."
Yes please
