Regarding the arming conditions on the GA mode, I can only speak for the A330 but for that aircraft, it is indeed the lever position that matters. This is why when you perform a NO FLAPS NO SLATS LANDING, you still set the lever to 1, in order to have the GO AROUND mode available.

Correct me if I’m wrong: i would descend f2 +G\D even F3 or FF until intercept GS. if speed too high before flaps i would extend nonstandard gear down. But in this situation I would TOGA -15 + FDS off and APs off + pull HDG 🤔
