The Forks of the Kern down to Kernville is such a fun section in general but when it has some juice in there, its nothing but big water joy for hours. So many pour overs to boof, kickflips to hit, and hardly any chill time in between!

So the coating on the lens does do a little bit better than the older lenses when using it without licking it. Although now, when you lick it, it will actually counteract the coating.
So if you have a 10, 11, or 12, just use it normal without licking it, Still dunk it occasionally.
But if you can get your hands on a 9 lens, licking and dunking that is still a lot better.

Do you opt with a longer paddle for these style runs. Bigger boat, bigger water. Etc.
I use the same length paddle for everything. But anything a bit bigger that I want full confidence I’ll paddle the gnarvana
