Everyone talking about Bocchi, but can we also acknowledge the fact that Kita is slaying it, considering she only learned recently how to play guitar and she is singing and playing at the same time.
they all slayin
slayyyyyy queenss
They can't sell the CDs if Kita's peformance was realistic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@TheEmolano True
its a show
It's called metronome
The lyrics Bocchi wrote "It's not enough, not enough, No one knows I'm here" at the same same time Ryo and Nijika turn around to look at her! And Kita who keeps singing and doesn't react because she's already had extensive practice with Bocchi and already knows how good she is, I'm crying man, it's too good
yeah. Makes me wish i knew Japanese. Hearing that lyric and seeing that scene the for the first time must have been so much more impactful
I still cried though lol
I would have never noticed this. Gonna have to cry to this scene again now thanks
I love that Ryo and Nijika acknowledge the change and what Bocchi can do.
No it was because bocchi started playing really well it wouldn’t make sense because they already read the lyrics multiple times
@@airza8506late reply but OP is talking about the symbolism of the lyrics and what's happening on the screen during that specific moment
I cried in this moment, It is very touching to see Bocchi forget her anxiety and put on a great show for her friends!
Yes! Just seeing how she is slowly able to unfold herself and be more and more comfortable around her friends is so wonderful,i am so proud of her
She is giving it her all !
Yeah it was kind of surprising seeing her not trying to perform inside a box again 😂. I'm only 6 episodes in and I'm totally hooked. I'm a lot like Bocchi I am super socially anxious and I also love music, it's so amazing to see an anime that deals with real life issues like this
Me too! I love this show so much
I like the little detail of Kita strumming her guitar looks a little stiff. It's what a lot of new players look like when strumming. In contrast, you can tell from the way bocchi is handling here guitar, it looks much more fluid and natural.
The animators really put a lot of attention to detail! Kita's using more of her arm, and Bocchi's using more wrist.
could also be because kita is playing rhythm and bocchi is playing lead. you would stiff arm when playing chords for rhythm guitar but not when you want to hit single strings
I notice that too and when she is on the festival at the end she using more her wrist and not looking at her guitar much while playing
Also, in the last song they played on eps 12, she sems to get comfortable and plays diffrent than here
Funny, I don't think anybody cares
I’m actually really impressed with the CGI in this. It’s much better than most other shows I’ve seen. And they did a pretty good job hiding it.
i didn't even notice lol
@@HaxeRain nscdund right?
They draw sections of the hair and face on top and and ‘speed smudges’ for their fingers and fast movements. It looks great
Actually no!!! they didn't used CGI but instead drew each scene based on real people playing
@@HaxeRain I knew it was rotoscoped!!! It is so satisfying to see when they pull it off
The thing with powerful social anxiety that some people don't understand is that it's possible to break through it given the right risk and motivation. What even fewer understand is that once it happens you aren't miraculously cured. One of the things i really like about this show is how they portray her after these moments, proud of herself and happy but not immune to the whiplash, often crashing soon after once the adrenaline fades.
She threw up right after this, it was either the adrenaline crash or the fact that Kita was holding her hands and they were both really excited and celebrating, dosing Bocchi with direct exposure to the Kit-aura
Not to mention people who don't see value in themselves can put forth effort when their actions impact others. She can go the extra mile for her friends but not for herself.
@@thegrim418 well said.
I love how the audio is panned so that it feels like your watching from the audience. Bocchi guitar is playing in the right ear, Ryo is playing in the left ear, Nijika drums and Kita singing and guitar are both playing in the middle. Love this anime.
Yeah it's a nice detail. I almost missed Bocchis playing cause I usually only have my left headphone on.
Can I just say thank you so much for this comment! I just watched this episode today and I watched it without headphones, so I never even noticed it was like that. I went back with headphones on and its crazy how a little detail really improves the experience
"It certainly is a downer. But it's very Bocchi. It might not connect with too many people, but those it does, it'll hit deeply" ~ Ryo Yamada about this song. And it's really accurate description
0:52 this part is just so good man...
it keeps replaying in my head over and over. the foot stomp especially commands attention to the guitar she's playing which immediately starts rocking out at this part too which makes it feel even better.
You can thank myoun. people say its cg based but i dont see it tbh.
@@DaniSenpai they rotoscoped the players then drew over them while making those incredible camera shots, so it feels smoother, the one in charge of this even uploaded the key animation done for this, it was like over 12 frames or so for some parts, they really going well and above what anyone could call "needed"
@@DaniSenpai It's masked very well, but there are moments you can see the cg in the movement like at 1:20- 1:22
Its amazing how well they mask it! If anything it gives the shot, character in its own form.
0:51 will be the most played moment.
I like how everyone was surprised when she stomped lol
it's more about her confident playing. She didn't play like that in practice.
I think its because they thought she kinda sucked. Everyone that heard her solo knew she was really good. Here she managed to clear the hurdle that made her sound bad with a band and they realized "damn she's good".
It’s got the same vibe as when band mates go crazy when they jump around, swing their instruments, or pickup the mic stand. It’s thrilling to watch, and you feel their energy. It’s even more special when you consider that Bocchi is a shy introvert who is the one doing it.
@@Skyte100 This isn't quite accurate. Nijika HEARD Bocchi solo, but she actually did not notice how good she is. Her sister picked up on it. It's little details like this that make the show great.
I really like how she evolves for her friends and her dreams 🥺
All the practice paid off, everything tied together perfectly
idk man drums were pretty tense
@@David-yr5pi still impressive
That moment when Ryou turns to Nijika and gives the head nod that they need to kick it into high gear to keep up with Bochi is amazing.
A little embarrassed to admit this, but this anime inspired me to get back into playing bass again.
nothing to be embarrased about, i know the feeling and its awesome to get back into something you like
That's how I felt watching Junko's solo in Zombieland Saga. It made me pick up my guitar again
why would you be embarassed
I picked up my guitar again so you're not the only one 🥲
it made me want to pick up an instrument from scratch, wanting to learn the piano.
I still love how they accurately animated their guitar and drums playing to the song.
This is so emotional~ Bocchi's VA totally nailed those lines!
I thought it was kita’s VA?
@@iamthinking2252_ The monologue during the song was Bocchi, Kita's doing the singing
Honestly, when she said that Bocchi's lyrics would resonate to those who'll get it, she wasn't wrong. It resonated in me big time.
Over a year later and I still get goosebumps, this anime truly is something special
You hear that? That deep voice? That is Hasegawa Ikumi. Some of you might know her as Handler One, Vladilena Milizé.
Handler one voice acting is peak
@@deadbrinkk4592 She’s also hitting the bars right
I love how all the songs are related to a specific member or the band itself and their struggles. Like this song reflects Bocchi's inner self and struggles she has with showing people her true self.
Coming back to this, for the "i lost count" time, gotta say, i love how well timed bocchi stomp scene is, like, to the lyrics of the song, it creates a nice contrast between her and the song, "its not enough, not enough, no one knows im here, i couldnt make a scribble of a sound" yet is the part where you know and feel her playing is much more stable and stronger, more self assured, gotta love the direction of this show, its just top notch
Im so glad this was the first BTR song I decided to learn how to play. Words can't express how beautiful the entire thing is. From the lyrics, to the context of its use in the show, to the subtle light notes that break into such a big chorus. To everyone noticing Bocchi breaking her anxiety (if even for just this moment) and actually being able to play in a band. It's so unabashedly rock n roll. How can you not like it
I don’t know if there’s been a song from an anime that I’ve loved as much as this, the guitar tune is just so heavenly, it’s the first to be on my playlist ever from an anime
Same D:
Love that in their first concert performance of this song, you can tell the slight mistakes and issues compared to this audition performance. I like that the show creators took the time to mess with the audio syncs instead of just playing it as is and saying that there are mistakes. Makes the show feel more authentic :)
It can be energy-crushing to audition, especially as a musician who really elevates their performance based on crowd energy. Having internal energy, though, a 100% output to an empty room, can show the potential for a 100+% output to a crowd.
Crunchy took 2 weeks to upload one of the best moments of BTR but takes less than an hour to post Chainsawman spoilers 💀bro i cant💀
Because obviously they don’t want to spoil the best anime this season. They’re okay with spoiling CSM because it’s not as good, try and use your brain a little smh my head
@@thecyclone9115 smhmh my head
it’s so obvious
BOCCHI THE STOMP!
It's like that piece of floor was an accelerator pedal.
It reminds me a lot of Kanami's (from Band-Maid) "Mincho Stance." Such a small but impactful and well-animated moment.
Love the camera angle coming down the guitar, reminds me of some of Mick Gordon's music videos for the Doom OST.
"It's Bocchi time" was my favourite part
As a guitarist, this is hands down the best animation of people playing guitars/drums/bass I have ever seen. Also a truly great show
There’s so many subtle details that just tie everything together just beautifully. This moment was just perfect.
Bocchi the GOAT
THIS ANIME IS AMAZING 🤩🤩🤩
goosebumps all the scene, this hits so hard. As a guitarist you can feel the feelings of every member of this band.
this scene is THE scene for me, it made me realise how amazing this show truly is, this is when everything truly clicked
You know the CGI is great when no one complained about it.
Kessoku Band 💕
I need a season 2 so bad
A lot of companies need to take notes. THIS is how you use 3D models in anime. Not a simple outline effect and cel shaders, not just drawing over it. Ya gotta draw over it AND apply 2d animation techniques and things used in regular 2d scenes (squash and stretch, motion lines, slightly warped and possibly exaggerated proportions)
This is my favorite moment from the show. It showed Bocchi’s resolve to grow into the person the band needs. The music is amazing and the animation was also amazing!
The foot stomp heard around the world
Am I the only one whose suprised at how good Ikuyo's vocals are?
I figured she'd be a good singer but I did not expect that sound to come out of her mouth
Ah yes, Bocchi Dwayne Johnson
Bocchi the peak
BOCCHI THE GOAT
You can see the very moment that Nijika's older sister feels Bocchi is about to explode with a rip for the ages.
You can always depend on these things looking good in anime:
Food
Fanservice
The final fight scene of an arc
Band anime
Bocchi’s stomp gave me full body chills ❤️
One of the few underrated anime this season, and im so glad I ran into this
Underrated? It's the #12 highest-scored anime on MAL right now (#5 if you leave the grossly overrated shounen jump series aside).
I am pretty sure it ended up being more popular than CSM in Japan lol
gem of the season
I’d like to point out that that guitar bocci has is worth roughly $50,000. A lot of guitar for a 16 year old to be carrying around.
More like $8,000 to $10,000 grand, and it's her dad's old guitar - so, not one she had to pay for.
@@bobdole4916 Yea i didnt realize it was a 1980s-1990s reproduction. Someone explaiend to me that the tuners and the gold pick guard are from the newer version.
Gucci, Channel, tes apparitions sont hors de la tête, mofi

Bocchi The Peak
That feeling of wanting to change, of being someone other than who you are because you think you aren't good enough and you're broken. Then the foot stomp because this ones for your friends.
Amazing anime, this is. this anime is probably top 3 for anime I look forward to each week
so far i’m loving this show. i’m very excited to see what happens in the latter half. it just might be my favorite for this season.
damn Ikumi Hasegawa is absolutely killing it with this one
this scene really be hitting me straight in the feels bruh istg. as someone who suffers a lot from anxiety and also plays guitar bocchi really is a relatable character and seeing everything come together for them & them performing this crazy good song is just beautiful bruh
I showed my gf this anime and she absolutely loves it! we both enjoyed episode 5 so much
The animation is incredible, humor is on top and just an overall chill anime.
this part moves me so much everytime... im still crying
this was awesome to see ❤❤ love this anime so much
Amazing! I hope more people watch this series.
Plus, the animation... my man... perfection!
0:51 can you notice it? How a good guitar suited to the rhythm of a voice like Kita's can make the vocalist's voice stand out so beautifully and excitingly, and it's not that Bocchi's guitar is the only beautiful thing in this scene, it's the fact that it helps to boost Kita's voice and make it even more impactful and excitingly magical! It's a dizzying spiral of emotions!... what Bocchi is talented at her guitar, Kita is talented at her wonderful voice!
It's the whole scene man. The build up to the stomp and then the rocking out afterwards 😍 A declaration was declared that day
00:52 that stomp is legendary
i'm in love with this show... after crying out of laughter in the episodes leading up to this one, now i feel like i could cry from how touching this is. also its been therapeutic laughing at all the relatable bocchi rants
Let's Rock
i love the animation for the instrument playing
Everyone talking about the girls while I'm here admiring how they animated the instrument as close as possible
That's so good.
Details of Ryo and Nijika making eye contact after Bocchi picking up her play really sell this anime for me. It's like a combo of being surprised and also sorta agreeing to pick up their play as well
bro, one of my favorite bands. nothing but bangers.
Their performances are such masterfully crafted moments. Goosebumps every time.
perfect show
That stomp has me tear up everytime!!!!!
Clean animation!!
Hell yeah! Way to crush it girls!
I loved how they snuck in 3d rigs for the hard scenes, on first watch you really wouldn't notice them!!
0:53 her performance, her lyrics, she is screaming what she feels, what she have to live with every day.
I love this anime too much istg
THE STOOOOOOMP
The little things in the scene really get me the glace over and Kita looking down at her guitar when she not doing vocals and of course Boochi step to the left.
I loved seeing bocchi overcome all her own milestones as a person, and loved even more the fact that her friends were so nice to her all the time. We need more people like this in the world for socially anxious people. I constantly cried and laughed every episode because I could just relate so hard to this anime.
The drums and bass at 0:12 in this are super addicting, I never get sick of them.
I'd like to thank you on behalf of the group!; And I hope we passed the audition! :P
Just reading the lyrics while watching Bocchi play her guitar hits hard.
I just noticed (upon my Xth rewatch) that at the end of the song, the only one of them who isn't flushed and sweating from the performance is Bocchi
This was the exact moment (her little stomp) when I think we all realized this show was something special
**Bocchi steps forward**
*wait why is this so hype???*
Welcome fellow Bocchi enjoyers
🔥🔥
I love this performance
la imagen de ella sumergida tocando en sus pensamientos, la botella vibrando.... todo es epico, asi se sentia cuando uno tocaba con las bandas de garage
When she starts playing at her fullest it sends chills down my spine
Every comment i ever read that discusses the actual gear used in this anime just shows the absolute insanity of attention to detail in every single aspect. There's nothing but the highest praise you can give the studio for making this.
had to learn this song for bocchi
Awesome Bocchi the Rock! Video.
0:12 ryo signals kita to start singing. the details on this anime is insane
and you can notice how kita is playing with her entire arm as she’s still a beginner, vs bocchi who’s playing with her hands
