How to easily write multiple genres in comics

How easy is it to write multiple genres? What about multiple genres for comics or prose? It would seem pretty difficult if you were first starting. Michael S. Katz has not only been writing and editing for 20 years, he's also written prose and comics. From Action with Riot Earp, Sci-Fi with Metal Heads, Superheroes with Golden Years and even Horror with Horror Show, it's safe to say that he has experience.
