Since that album, he releases one song at a time on his channels, Spotify, Amazon and iTunes like most independent artists these days. Yes this was a contest in 2017 that launched him internationally. He was in others prior, but The Singer was his true start to his path of being recognized. This song won him an international singer of the year award in China.

This is the show that launched his international career, it's a competition but between established artists. He released one album ID early in his career which went triple platinum in 90 minutes. Dimash had some legal difficulties with the management agency he signed with in China where he didn't get paid for a lot of the work he did and it took a court case to release him from his 8 year contract. This may have been the reason he hasn't released another album, but he has mentioned to the Chinese Dears that he was working on a new album. He's a completely independent artist, he won't sign to a label because he doesn't want anyone telling him what music he should be doing. He works with agencies but doesn't work for anyone.

This was the fourth episode from The Singer competition in 2017. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among other countries. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. Autumn Strong was the first song he ever sang in Mandarin. He was so grateful to his Chinese audience for welcoming him so warmly that he wanted to say thank you in this way. He only had a week to learn the lyrics and the correct pronunciation. The same word has multiple meanings depending on how you pronounce it. That was very important to him. A really tough job. From the reaction of the audience you can see that he has mastered it with flying colors. Many Chinese reactors also said that his pronunciation was almost perfect. His fellow competitors were all Chinese and older than Dimash. He spoke very little English or Mandarin at the time. The competitors were incredibly kind to him and captivated by his performances. Dimash has performed with several of them and kept them as friends. The Singer is a much better show than those in US (in my opinion).
Autumn Strong is a rewrite (new Mandarin lyrics) of an original Japanese song called "Ikanaide" composed by Koji Tamaki. Dimash sang Autumn Strong on the "I Am Singer" 2017 competition for professional singers in China at the age of 22 yrs old. The rules for the competition were to sing world class hit songs so yes, he sang covers in the 14 weeks of the tv show. Only one episode was an original song by the singer allowed. He sang Unforgettable Day on that episode. Dimash became a mega star in China from the very first episode of this tv competition show. He has been a major star in China ever since then. Dimash just flew back to China to complete a series of filming for special televised events for the Chinese New Year's celebrations. He already has a few on his UA-cam channel. You have a long way to go with his performances and MVs. You can buy his physical CDs of his hit album released in China in 2019 "iD" on Amazon. I purchased it not that long ago. It went platinum 37 seconds after it was released and triple platinum in an hour. Dears are still purchasing the album. Just curious. When did Dimash's father give Dimash/Alli to DImash? Kanat (Dimash's father) and his partener establihed this production company a long time ago. They named it after thier sons DImash and Allli. Watch the credits on "When I have you" and you will see Kaanat's name as Producer.

Dimash does not have a label. Since becoming internationally known and at least up to now as far as I know, Dimash has refused every offer from the music industry and he did so in order to maintain his artistic and creative independence. His father is his producer and they work through their own production company called "DimashAli Creative Center". I think his decision was the right one because he has gained so much experience over the years, with such a grand repertoire and portfolio of MV and short films, concerts and performances that for the music industry, this artist is now someone to be reckoned with and a man who knows what the hell he's doing. Dimash is known to have a gentle and kind disposition but he's certainly no pushover.

Dimash will not sign with a record label or producer to maintain total artistic control. He doesn't want to be told what to sing. His popularity is even more impressive by being independent. Also, other than the CD mentioned by other comments, I think there is a CD of songs Dimash did with Igor Krutoy. Igor is not only a composer and piano player, but he owns a large record company in Europe and produces albums for a lot of artists. He is a multi- billionaire. That was before the war.

Many people think that he would be more famous if he makes more Albums, but I don't think so, first, he doesn't look for be the #1, the best seller but he wants people appreciate his music, 2nd, he doesn't want to be a puppet in hands of big companies because he wants to keep his musical and artistic freedom. For the first time a foreigner was invited and it was Dimash. The contest was in 2017, so Dimash was about 22 ou 23 years old at this time. He was the youngest artist participating in that contest. People were amazed not only by his vocals, but also by the way he could learn this song in one week. I saw a chinese man that told that if he didn't know, he have said that this was a chinese artist performing. About his vocals: can you imagine to sing a song that is not in your mother language, and still do the "acrobatics" that he did? He released one album ID early in his career which went triple platinum in 90 minutes. Dimash had some legal difficulties with the management agency he signed with in China where he didn't get paid for a lot of the work he did and it took a court case to release him from his 8 year contract. This may have been the reason he hasn't released another album, but he has mentioned to the Chinese Dears that he was working on a new album.
He's a completely independent artist, he won't sign to a label because he doesn't want anyone telling him what music he should be doing. He works with agencies but doesn't work for anyone.

This was the fourth episode from The Singer competition in 2017. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among other countries. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.
Autumn Strong was the first song he ever sang in Mandarin. He was so grateful to his Chinese audience for welcoming him so warmly that he wanted to say thank you in this way. He only had a week to learn the lyrics and the correct pronunciation. The same word has multiple meanings depending on how you pronounce it. That was very important to him. A really tough job. From the reaction of the audience you can see that he has mastered it with flying colors. Many Chinese reactors also said that his pronunciation was almost perfect. The song is very emotional and love the reactions of the other competitors. I always recommend to take the link on Gloria Wu’s channel as it shows the background story. Autumn Strong is a song he always sings in his concerts. Every time it is a very emotional moment.
By the way, the original of this song was written by the Japanese singer Koji Tamaki in 1989 and it’s called Ikanaide but the lyrics are different.

His fellow competitors were all Chinese and older than Dimash. He spoke very little English or Mandarin at the time. The competitors were incredibly kind to him and captivated by his performances. Dimash has performed with several of them and kept them as friends. The Singer is a much better show than those in US (in my opinion).

Autumn Strong is a rewrite (new Mandarin lyrics) of an original Japanese song called "Ikanaide" composed by Koji Tamaki. Dimash sang Autumn Strong on the "I Am Singer" 2017 competition for professional singers in China at the age of 22 yrs old. The rules for the competition were to sing world class hit songs so yes, he sang covers in the 14 weeks of the tv show. Only one episode was an original song by the singer allowed. He sang Unforgettable Day on that episode. Dimash became a mega star in China from the very first episode of this tv competition show. He has been a major star in China ever since then. Dimash just flew back to China to complete a series of filming for special televised events for the Chinese New Year's celebrations. He already has a few on his UA-cam channel. You have a long way to go with his performances and MVs.
You can buy his physical CDs of his hit album released in China in 2019 "iD" on Amazon. I purchased it not that long ago. It went platinum 37 seconds after it was released and triple platinum in an hour. Dears are still purchasing the album. There is one more album but it is only in MP3 format which I believe you can buy via Apple Music but Amazon only has it available as part of their subscription to Amazon Music. It is the "Dimash Kudaybergen and Igor Krutoy" album (Qudaibergen is misspelled as Kudaybergen so you have to type it that way to find it). You can download all of Dimash's single releases on Spotify and all other streaming platforms. All of Dimash's music, his originals and a few covers are available on UA-cam Music and Spotify and all streaming platforms.
Dimash is currently planning to release his all English album "soon" (that's a Dimash "soon" 😅) but he has been premiering the songs on that upcoming album a few at a time on his "Stranger" World Tour solo concerts. New 2025 schedule will be announced shortly but the Riga, Latvia concert is scheduled for Dec 2025.

Autuumn Strong is very popular in China. The original version (Japanese) based on a true story... very touching: It is about Yoshiko Yamaguchi (*1920-2014), a Chinese-born Japanese actress during World War II. She hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li XIanglan and became famous in China. However, when the war was over and she revealed her identity, she was accused of being a spy. She was deported to Japan and longed for China. Ms. Yamaguchi did not return to China until many years as deputy environment minister in the Japanese parliament.
In 1993, Jacky Cheung adapted the Japanese song (written 1998) into Chinese Mandarin, calling it Late Autumn. The most famous interpretation In China (first performance at the Singer 2017) was that of Dimash Qudaibergen and it was his first time to sing in Chinese mandarin and is about autumn, farewell, sadness ... but also about accepting the unchangeable.
This song brought Dimash the 'Best Foreign Singer' award at the Golden Melody Award 2017 (equivalent to the Grammy) in Hong Kong.
The Chinese (Autumn Strong) and the Japanese version (Ikanaide - written 1998 by Koji Tamaki and Goro Matsui) have totally different lyrics and meanings… and of course Dimash sings both very differently.

Dimash does not have a label. Since becoming internationally known and at least up to now as far as I know, Dimash has refused every offer from the music industry and he did so in order to maintain his artistic and creative independence. His father is his producer and they work through their own production company called "DimashAli Creative Center". I think his decision was the right one because he has gained so much experience over the years, with such a grand repertoire and portfolio of MV and short films, concerts and performances that for the music industry, this artist is now someone to be reckoned with and a man who knows what the hell he's doing. Dimash is known to have a gentle and kind disposition but he's certainly no pushover.

Dimash will not sign with a record label or producer to maintain total artistic control. He doesn't want to be told what to sing. His popularity is even more impressive by being independent. Also, other than the CD mentioned by other comments, I think there is a CD of songs Dimash did with Igor Krutoy. Igor is not only a composer and piano player, but he owns a large record company in Europe and produces albums for a lot of artists. He is a multi- billionaire. That was before the war.
Dimash and Igor do not have a contract. Just a handshake.
