The "don't look back" really got to me. I had this dream of the crone in a deep forest lifting me from the ground and carrying me to exit the forest. Voices were telling me "DON'T LOOK BACK" repeatedly while I was being carried. And when we got out, the crone said "You are now a full-fledged witch." That's when I decided to start this spiritual journey. I looked for archetypes or deities representing the Crone and Hekate was one of them. When I contemplated who I should work with, that night, I had a dream where a big black dog was trying to get to me and get my pearl necklace. It bit the pearls from my hands and ran off. I took it as a sign to work with Hekate because I read that she usually takes the form of a black dog. And I only started to evoke her yesterday during the full moon. It felt cold even if it's hot where I live. But when I consulted my tarot cards, it said that she wasn't really present during then. But she had messages for me. I'm also so glad I found this channel. I watched the hekate video before I decided to evoke her for the first time.
It's really cool to see your deipnon practice and to read about others in the comments! I had no idea that everyone else got that feeling of "time to leave. Now" as soon as you place down the offering.
I've taken inspiration from this video and tonight I will be performing Deipnon at a nearby trail as well. I usually just do it at a 3 way crossroad in my neighborhood but I'd like to start going to a trail or a cemetery instead

I can not thank you e bough for this video. I have performed Deipnon for the past 3 months. I live on a farm. There is an excellent crossroads a small walk from my home. It sits at a rather busy intersection during the day. I have been performing at midnight as opposed to dusk for privacy reasons. I am taken aback at the “Get the hell outta dodge vibe” I get after placing my offering and was delighted to see you speak about this and address it. Thank you.
I also sing and offer music and I find Heckate enjoys Florence and The Machines.

Midnight is actually appropriate as historically a deipnon begins at midnight and goes the next day. But as she says, you create your ritual in the way that works best for you ~*

Thank you for talking about your experiences with OCD as a witch. This struck a really loud chord in me because I struggle with OCD and it heavily affects my spiritual journey in a way that isn't so positive. I have an affinity for Hekate, but struggle quite a bit with the call because my OCD tendencies tend to get in the way. If you are comfortable, could you make a video being a witch and also having OCD? This kind of advice would help me immensely. Again, thank you for showing me that there are others like me. :)

When I did it I had the same feeling of doing it quickly and just go 😅😅 I just told her give me two second to close the cercle and leave 😊 few days later I went back because it’s my sacred space I don’t have a three cross way - and there was nothing literary nothing 😊❤️🖤

Loved this video, I’ve felt called to work with Hecate for a while now, and recently started to make contact. It occurred to me that one of the stories I remember vividly as a child was Greek mythology about Hecate and Persephone. It’s always been there and I didn’t even realise. Hi Priestess Dandelion, I really enjoyed this. It feels special. I think this style of video (outdoor ritual) could really build your channel because most witchcraft channels these days are focusing on theory and philosophy as opposed to live ritual. Another reason, I think more of this style of video would be good, is that you have excellent aesthetic sensibilities and you come across very sincere. I could feel almost all throughout this video a really strong presence as though i was there with you! I feel extremely pulled towards working with hecate someday if she’d like! I just got Scott Cunningham’s Wicca book in the mail and i’m loving it so far!! I want to spend lots of time working on getting to that place where i can work with a deity and be respectful of their time so it can be long term. Even if getting established takes years, I would anticipate it with joy :)
I heard Hecate’s name maybe 2 years ago without knowing anything about her or wicca and it sounded loud to me everytime i heard it. It’s amazing to me that Hecate is really there to build a relationship with you and i love seeing other people talk about their experiences!
I’ve always had a strong connection with anything paranormal; ghosts, dead relatives i’ve never met in my dreams, down to repeating numbers, even repeating messages i could never figure out who was sending them!
I had a dream once when i was very little around my birthday that i was being carried by people and i was a witch, and i think there was chanting involved but that’s all there was! it was a very vivid and quick dream, the same each time. i had it once at the same time every year for three years in a row. I had a feeling i wasn’t supposed to tell anyone and if i did it wouldn’t happen again. 2’s and 3’s are big repeating numbers for me as well. I was even thinking recently where would i find a crossroads around me, (i live in a very small town) and i laughed bc after realizing the only place i could think of was that i work at a place called crossroads.
I was looking into the history of Medusa recently for the first time and just the other day I walked into a restaurant in town i had never been into before and one of the first things I seen on the wall was a stone plaque of Medusa on the wall and I was super amazed. I always have such weird coincidences like that.

Pagan "cis white man" here. I've been performing my own Deipnon for some time now, and was curious today on how others perceive and perform their own. The Druidic tradition I follow is fairly eclectic and includes deities from several cultures. I've always found Hekate to be one of the most accessible of them, and Her presence in my life is something that I am very grateful for. I am very sorry that you felt unsafe in the beginning portion of this video, and I hope that you recognize that not all heterosexual Caucasian males are entitled, ego driven, villains. I like your channel very much and am eager to see more!

Wow a very helpful video. I've been binging some about Hecate--as I feel her calling me--and yours is the most comprehensive. I really want to perform Deipnon but I'm not sure how to do it in the middle of a city as a closeted witch... Not to mention that I live in an ultrareligious country so it could be dangerous if someone catches me doing stuffs related to magic. But I'm going to think of something!
If you don't have an altar and can't have access to a three ways crossroad, is there an other place where you can leave the offering? Btw, you're so cool! I just discovered your channel and I already learned 10 000 new things! You're a really good teacher!

I would like to do this ritual one day. I dont feel like im ready for it yet. I used to leave small offerings for hecate when she first called out to me (i think she did) about a year ago. Then i stopped because i felt like it was too much for me to do daily and i dont want to upset her. Now im feeling its time again. I guess i didnt set any boundries before and i was overwhelmed .
I did my very first one today I was kinda nervous but I just focused on what I was doing. I kept hearing little critters, branches breaking, and I saw a black butterfly. It felt good after, I really hope she likes my offerings.
I have maybe a weird question; if someone walked up on you while in the middle of your deipnon, would you stop and acknowledge them or would you just keep doing what you're doing? This is a very informative video btw! thanks for sharing!
I typically ignore people if they happen to walk by I’m the middle of deipnon. In my experience of someone sees me doing it they leave as quickly as possible because they think I’m a scary witch which ... isn’t wrong? Haha It’s okay to acknowledge them with nod/smile/hello but I ignore them because I’m performing ritual.

Wait….you can do deipnon at your altar too?? Is it done pretty much the same way , except your exit the room your altar is in without looking back? Wow I was holding my breath watching that! I’m totally new to deity work and only recently recognized the deity contacting me (in my case, it’s Apollo). However, I just see him as energy, like a somewhat-humanoid shaped yellow light, and I can’t seem to speak with him. How do you hone that skill? I’m guessing it’s because I’m still toward the beginning of my journey and need to learn to be more open, I’m just wondering if you have any suggestions. Thank you!
PS - The not looking back reminds me so much of Orpheus and Eurydice (which I suppose makes sense - that was also tied to the underworld, which Hecate traverses through quite often)

This was so beautiful!!!!! I want to ask for your advice. I perform Deipnon at my altar. I am not able to go to a crossroads because it's too dangerous in my country. Also i don't have a garden or soil to bury the offerings. What can i do with the offerings? Is is wrong if i throw them to the trash ??
Thank you!!! The trash is of course not ideal but I personally think safety is always the first priority. Hekate knows that you cannot safely go to a crossroads so I'm sure she would not be offended by this. As long as you wait to throw out the offering until after the offering has sat on your altar for the night you should be just fine.
Question about Deipnon
If I don't know where another cross roads is am I fine to use the T shaped path in my back garden for it ?
How do you communicate with Hecate?
This might seem like a silly question, But I haven't found the three way crossroad, so if I do it inside, what do I do with the offerings after?

I’m only 3 minutes in to the video so far, but you said usually it’s performed at night. I asked Hekate (I’m hoping it was legitimately her at least) with my pendulum if it was ok if I did it during school/work hours during the day (as I’m not quite as open about my practice at home yet) and she said yes. As someone with more experience with Hekate, does that sound like something she’d agree to? Im new to deity work so I want to make sure it’s sounding most like her and not a trickster or other entity. I appreciate your time, thank you!
Edit: I would love to see an altar version! That’s mostly how I’ll be doing it. Also I appreciate that it’s not a paved road and that the crossroads can be even just dirt paths. Evidently I have a lot to learn 😅
I think you have nothing to worry about. If you are uncomfortable being open with your practice at home there is nothing wrong with doing the ritual during the day. Your practice is unique to you and any changes you make to make yourself comfortable and safe are always okay. I’m sure Hekate understands that you can’t be open about your practice at home and so she is fine with this adjustment. I did a livestream of Deipnon at home but I will be posting a more succinct video soon.

I seen 3 figures before related to death. How would I know what this was/is?
So for me performing deipnon is a little hard at the crossroads because someone or the other is always out there. I wondered where else can deipnon be done? Somewhere at home other than altar. I don't think altar option works for me either as my altar is right beside where I sleep. I do have some potted plants in the balcony. In such a scenario, should I avoid the area after putting the offering?
Can you leave deipnon at a lone area of a graveyard instead of a crossroads ?
