I’m Puerto Rican and I knew we had a black history since my entire family was born on the island. My family has very dark skin to very light skin. And when I did my DNA, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my lineage was 78% African. It was a wonderful revelation. However, it was not welcomed news to many of my family members who consider themselves white. And that is sad.
That is because they have been duped into hating their African heritage. We will change that. Start showing then what Africans really did and invented, and see how in a few months they say to reprogram themselves

I truly believe that in the distant past people of colour were far more advanced than the racist archaeologists of 17th and 18th century would give credit for. And I would love to believe that many people of different races all lived and worked together. In some places Black people were rulers. Other places they were Brown, Yellow, White or Red... Brown skin is the default skin tone of most of humanity throughout history. Super dark skin and super pale skin are the extreme minority. Think of it like the punnet square AaBb in biology. Medium brown is standard skin tone throughout AfroEurAsia and the America's.

I noticed that some of these statues have what looks to be attempted damaged by fire. Noses, which are the most distinctive feature on our faces , knocked off. Is it possible for "Without History" to examine Cambodia, where it seems at first glance to have many Africanized statues, many of which have had their upper lip and noses damaged, apparently to hide their African ancestry. Cambodia seems to carry a great deal of African antiquity and it would be great to see how it fits in.
@belvedere, I think he covered those people briefly in this episode; they are called the Negrito. I briefly learned about them in University. They were one of the early groups of H. sapiens that left Africa, traveled through Asia, into Australia, and eventually made to the Central America. I have been interested in ancient Sumer since grade nine history class when I first heard about Mesopotamia. I have been keeping a close eye on any new discoveries and absorbing as much as I can ever since. I can say that there was never a moment when the notion of caucasian origins made any sense. This idea seemed to mainly stem from early 20th century occultists and Theosophists, and this 'Aryan stock ' rhetoric was embraced by the European fascist movement. This may be the reason that such an idea has held sway as long as it has. But the distinct phases of people who occupied those city states; Sumerian, Akkadian, and Assyrian, were each very distinct cultures and the legacy of each was distinct. The UR period that was mentioned and the Hammurabi that we have all heard of was indeed from the period of Empire, when the cities were all under the rule of one King. Prior to this period, each city had a distinct ruler, or were governed individually by vassal lords under the King who resided in Uruk or Eridu. Each city had it's own tutelary diety as well. It is important to remember that during periods of conquest or appropriation that the newcomers will be absorbing much from the conquered culture, language, religion, and there will always be a certain amount of integration even if the people were supposedly 'vanquished completely, each will pass on physical characteristics to the next and so on. We can safely say that there is not a single image or statue or description from texts that indicates anything resembling west European or white caucasion. It is surprising to me that any such claim would still exist.

There is actually strong connection and evidence between the Yuruba and the Nubio-Kemetism civilization. In fact recent research validate the theory of dr. Theodore Benga and many other scholars, namely that pretty much all West and central Africa is genetically descended from Kemet. I hope to do more content in this in the near future.

I saw a documentary on Gobekli Tepe and it showed that there were many such structures across the landscape, they just haven’t been excavated yet. It seems more like a giant complex like Mexico City and not just a temple structure like a stone henge or one off structure.

There is a lot of evidence coming out of Turkey that pre-Younger Dryas civilization was founded around Lake Van, near Mount Ararat. I have been interested in ancient Sumer since grade nine history class when I first heard about Mesopotamia. I have been keeping a close eye on any new discoveries and absorbing as much as I can ever since. I can say that there was never a moment when the notion of caucasian origins made any sense. This idea seemed to mainly stem from early 20th century occultists and Theosophists, and this 'Aryan stock ' rhetoric was embraced by the European fascist movement. This may be the reason that such an idea has held sway as long as it has. But the distinct phases of people who occupied those city states; Sumerian, Akkadian, and Assyrian, were each very distinct cultures and the legacy of each was distinct. The UR period that was mentioned and the Hammurabi that we have all heard of was indeed from the period of Empire, when the cities were all under the rule of one King. Prior to this period, each city had a distinct ruler, or were governed individually by vassal lords under the King who resided in Uruk or Eridu. Each city had it's own tutelary diety as well. It is important to remember that during periods of conquest or appropriation that the newcomers will be absorbing much from the conquered culture, language, religion, and there will always be a certain amount of integration even if the people were supposedly 'vanquished completely, each will pass on physical characteristics to the next and so on. We can safely say that there is not a single image or statue or description from texts that indicates anything resembling west European or white caucasion. It is surprising to me that any such claim would still exist.

There is a lot of evidence coming out of Turkey that pre-Younger Dryas civilization was founded around Lake Van, near Mount Ararat. The Sumerians referred to Utnapishtim, who the Old Testament would later refer to as Noah, and how he had 3 sons who founded the Golden Age of mankind.
