@@Joiedevivredesilives How so? If you maintain the house properly, it can't be that expensive. It's not a chateau. It doesn't get cold enough in the French Riviera to call for extensive heating, either.
The only real cost here would be the time to upkeep it in such a perfect state.

I find myself feeling very sorry for the present owners. This property looks so loved. I know I would never willingly give up such a piece of paradise. It is a truly one of a kind. Glorious.
That was my feeling too - but sometimes when an owner can no longer look after a home - it just has to be sold - they most likely feel exactly like you - it is an obviously greatly loved place - a family home where they have stashed their treasures & antiques over many years ! Sweet !
Few have ever had the blessing to live in such a beautiful and peaceful home, they were definitely more fortunate than most. We age and pass the torch, nothing is permanent.
Maintenance is the word ...eventually old age becomes an issue and priorities, needs change.
The same thought went through my mind - this home and the garden have clearly been loved and cared for, for a long time. I cannot imagine someone giving up such an obviously cherished places willingly. There is probably a sad story behind it - but as others in the thread have wisely noted, nothing lasts for ever, happiness and peace least of all.
..or maybe the owners have decided to move to the city....or now have too many kids. ..or maybe the are moving to another area or country. ..... huh...the last thing I thought of was a sad story to this sale.
Just seeing a video of this made me feel so happy and peaceful. God bless the people who buy/bought this. You are truly blessed.

OMG !! This is one of the city i used to stay at every summer as a kid..It's a tradition we had to escape the city (Paris and go away for the summer's vacation to the south ).. we used to stay at Chateau Neuf De Grasse, Nice, Canne, Cassis and then 1 month in the moutains in Guillaume and Valberg..you don't know what your missing until your'e much older and truly appreciate what you had....All year long Grasse smells like Lavender....that's how I remembered....I need to visit my childhood vacation spots again..THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO , WHICH I SAVED

Reminds me of my great grandfather’s house on Adriatic coast, only with sea view. It’s unfortunately in decrepit state. My dream is to buy it from my relatives and turn it into something like this.

for 10 years you can not explain the happiness you surround yourself the atmosphere of life (Year in Provence) watch "A good Year" with Russel Crowe & Albert Finney .
Life is Family Food & Friends & work. The smell of Rose bushes surrounding the area for the perfume the aroma factory in the valley The daily fresh food market Go , but do not put a satellite dish on your roof as the French will say your not learning French ! I bought my children up there and they never stop mentioning it Greg

The French villa which is shown here gives us a very nostalgic feeling of the bygone era ( 18th century ) ! It feels very nice to get a view of the old decor of the then times ! I am a great admirer of the novelist,Jane Austen,who lived in the 18th century and that's how I can relate to that era !

Absolutely exquisite! Would give anything to have this lovely home but am sure it is gone now, plus do not have enough money to buy or keep it up properly. If I did would have jumped at this home immediately. Just would need to see the roof and basement maybe? But it all looks grand and well-taken care of. Jut like a dream home!
I really, really like that stove, I want one just like it, and the kitchen sink is beautiful. I want to cook something on that stove because reasons, grilled swordfish with cilantro-chili vinaigrette, a mango salsa, clams à la Marinière and a bottle of White Château Des Tours from Vallée du Rhône seems very Mediterranean and would taste great while taking in that view.
What time shoukd we arrive? Should we bring dessert--chocolat flambe- or just flowers in the Mediterranean tradition?

This is one of the most beautiful villages in the area. The cycling is incredible and views onto the Met and Antibes are incredible. Real estate in the village is scarce at best. Beautiful property, but steaming warm in the summer. ;-)

Incredible landscape.
This scenery reminds me of Greece. Mostly because of the olive trees. The interior of the house is oldfashioned. Looks like laographic museum. The surrounding area along with the pool are extremely beautiful and with love and care made that makes you frorget the furnitures.
