My son Gabriel had the switch done by Dr. Galantowicz at Nationwide. He had some issues with PPHN but all ended well...He is now 11 months old and doing great!

The good thing about it is you don’t need to be in medication for certain cases. I do but its just for safety and no concerns Alhamdullilah

@raindi100 I had that: an arterial switch. They stop the heart and cut the aorta and arteries then switch them round.

I believe it's more common to do an ASO procedure now-a-days ?

10 months? Wow, thats very far out considering the surgery is typically done within the first days of life.

    Hi, My name is theguyinthefunnyhat.
I was born with this condition and had an arterial switch to correct it. I had this when I was very little, before i was even a toddler. I am now 16 and enjoying life. People say its fait or 'someone up there likes me' but I beleive in science and beleive that science beleives in me. If it wasn't for this op and great doctors in nurses, I would be dead and would have been dead for 16 years.
