The truth is no one real know what DNA chain issues that are caused with breeding a pitbull with other breeds. like tri colors which are really a pitbull mixed with a rottweiler. now you got a so called working dog mixed with a dog with a lesser life span and hip issues. Wait 15 years and the pitbull breed will be a bad as the German shepherd breed . I'll stick with the original pitbull terrier tri color it's called a chocolate brindle lol.
It all depends on the dog and the person. it's not a myth.. if the mother doesn't trust you and you touch her baby she might kill it .. meanwhile if she trust you she'll have her babies right on top of you .
Many people want a purebred dog and you cant find that in a shelter. Dogs in the shelter are all mutts/mixes. And a shelter dog can turn aggresive even if it has the right care because you dont know their past,their genetics

This video clearly explain how blindness and definitely come about with Merle coat dogs. When Merle dogs are bred to merle dogs, out of 100 puppies 50% will have a merle coat like their parents. When you breed a dog without a merle gene to a dog with a merle coat, out of 100 puppies, half will have a merle coat. Because the of the way genetics works, you get the same 50% Merle puppies by breeding a merle dog to a merle dog OR If you breed two merle dogs. That’s right. Because of the way genes sort, you get the same number of merle puppies. The difference is, when you breed merle tomorrow you’re pretty much guaranteeing that one fourth of your puppies will have miserable lives or just be put down at birth. That’s what most breeders do. They killed defective puppies because they are hard to sell. they don’t want to feed them if they’re not going to be able to sell them.
