Thank You. I saw Tommy with Energy back in 1972 in Colorado Springs. I was 13 years old. They supported Ten Years After. He really Stole the show. Such a long time ago. I'll never forget him.
@jordondickerson4069 1st met Tommy @ the Family Dog "Denver" w/ American Standard in 68-69. My 1st stagehand gig was w/ Tommy & Energy in November 71 @ a sock hop in Evergreen, Co. & was at the Springs gig.
Wow. This is very cool. I've only met a couple people who went to this concert. This was my first real concert. I looked up the Dog on the Internet. It must have been amazing. Cream, Hendrix, a who's who of RnR Greats. I was 11 when it closed. Thanks again. You must of had some Great Times back then.
Wow such a cool memory I would have given anything to be friends with Tommy Bolin just seemed like such a way cool guy major influence unfortunately I suffer from many of the same things he did thank God I managed to pull through, what an awesome set and versions of these songs
I feel its the things we all were doing ourselves back when this cool stuff was created is what’s the richest thoughts Tommy’s existence evokes. Thanks Tommy
Love this acoustic version of wild dogs, master song writer ,hendrix caliber guitarist, n still not in the rock and roll hall of fame. WTF ??.n CANDY GIVENS from ZEPHYR who was better than janis joplin still not in either WTF??? or even mentioned. These two musicians should be names that almost everyone should know or heard of.I heard of Tommy Bolin before n knew about his music but not CANDY GIVENS and ZEPHYR n I couldn't believe it that I had never heard of her n her powerful n skillful voice ....
Followed you for some long. listened to you when people said "Tommy who?" as many still don't but I am so blessed to have found more of your music and siferenet versions i.e. acoustic. strange how I never heard it but I played just like you on acoustic! My greatest guitar influence as well as vocal. You live on influence some of us TEASERS!
songs like Evening Rain and Savannah Woman are far better and more interesting than the absolutely terrible Deep Purple album "Come taste the band". Rarely seen an excellent band make such a Stuka dive. But fortunately enough, they found a new breath, and gosh, up and up again they went.
Tommy was such a special and soulful musician !
