Hey man keep at it loving the vids! Saw you the other day on my way to gore from wentworth north on Jackson gave you a thumbs up but you probably had no idea why lol
It's crazy how dangerous this job is. Even the smallest detail can cost your/others' lives. Much respect to professionals like yourself! Keep up the great content 💪
Thanks for this. I'm an amateur, and I love being able to refine my understanding of . . . what . . . tree dynamics when being felled. I have not ever, nor would I ever try to drop a tree from a ladder. Good grief . . . When I put a rope on a tree, I always use a change of direction pulley, with the pulley anchored in the direction I want the tree to go and apply a moderate dynamic tension from a safe distance at 90 degrees to the direction of fall.
I'm not a professional by any means, but I deal in construction, so i've seen quite a bit lol. We were doing a massive oak, and we had probably 20 feet left in the bottom trunk, which was about 8 feet round at the base when we were taking that top section off There's about 20 gallons of water that came pouring out of it. That was the first time I've ever seen water flow from a tree. But not the last.😂 i think you're doing great on your videos. Your explanations are clear and dumbing down a little bit for us that don't know. I think the one that I liked the most out of this. One was the lightning, demolishing that tree.I just hope nobody got hurt.💪❤️🇺🇸
Nice video. Man, that last one was devastating. Being tossed around like a rag doll! That guy had to have life changing injuries. I definitely don’t feel bad now. I’m just a property owner who has learned from more knowledgeable folks on how to stay safe.
Good reviews, I always told guys... When I doubt, go higher/cut smaller pieces/put a rope on it. You articulated yourself well and knew what you were talking about, nicely done. Maybe instead of a split screen, show the initial video in full screen and the your reaction to it in the format of split screen like you did here. Hard for me to see the content in such a small window, with you taking up so much of the screen. But nicely done sir!
That is a great point. I will try to implement your suggestion for the next reacting-to video. Appreciate you for taking the time to give your input 👊🏻
@@WoodRoyTV check out Insider's expert reacts series for a brilliant implementation if you haven't before. I think they've got it nailed, and many others have used the same format/maybe they got it from someone else, who knows
As far as ladders are concerned, I've had a branch kick the ladder out from under me. Fortunately I was able to grab a branch and was able to shut off my saw and had a soft place to toss it so I could extricate myself from the predicament. Ladders and trees just don't mix
I'm just an amatuer and do use a ladder at times. In my defense, I do tie the ladder in and also tie myself in just in case. So far I've not had any serious problems beyond missing my drop zone a few times. Also, if the tree looks scary to me, I call a pro.
That definitely was some gnarly shit man, cutting is dangerous enough on it's own, but obviously if you don't know what you're doing, it can end in a bad day or worse

The fifth vid where the tree almost hits the barn had his holding wood on the wrong side.
Oh yeah…Nice Job keep at it
Thank you :)
