Most reviews from the media and community are loving the "open" sound in the closed format, but only you can be the final judge. We hope you get to hear it, it's special. [edit] a little trivia for you: we started angling the transducers in this chassis 20 years ago to a warm welcome. It was about time we did it right in a closed-format headphone 😉
As time goes on I am finding less and less opportunities to sit in a quiet place to enjoy music, even though I love my HD 560S. I've been looking at my first 600 series Sennheiser, and this one will be my choice very soon.
I am learning to play guitar and Digital Piano. I want to buy HD series of open back headphone ( example - HD 620 S, HD 650, HD 600, HD 490 Pro Plus and HD 490 Pro) but couldn't decide which one! In my opinion HD 660 S 2 would be a great choice. Please suggest. Thanks.
The HD 660S2, 600, and 650 have a higher impedance, and would sound best but requires a really good amp circuit to drive it, as it is a hi-fi headphone. Most digital pianos have a headphone out designed for lower impedance headphones, which means HD 620S (closed, sealed earcups) and HD 490 (open) are your best bet.
I like that you've gone for the HD500 series form factor for this one. I own the HD 560S and enjoy it for both gaming and working with video editing/audio mastering. I was genuinely surprised by how much bass the 560S has for an open back. I love it.
the transducer angle twist has been included before for instance in Bowers PX7 and PX8 line but I am curious how the HD620S sound.

I'm also using the 560s and 620s :)
a wonderful headphone.. already enjoying it at home 🙂
What are some of your go-to tracks you enjoy on it? We're building an HD 620S playlist for some upcoming events!
It looks really good. My old Sennheiser could use an update.
Looks good, sounds even better :)

Tallyho! Sennheiser, are the best, in audio.
🙏 Thanking you!
Hi I'm new to this headphones world, will this headphone perform equally good in a laptop or a phone?😊
It's pretty versatile as the impedance is not too high. You can't go wrong with properly amplifying it, however.

How are the vocals and the mids?
Please make a version of this with a folding head band. And where is it made?
are they good in bass
Yes--they have both extension and punch, but never too much that the music is ever misrepresented. It balances engaging and truthful.
Sennheiser, I just imitated your Momentum 3 wireless headphone Sound Signature using Shure aonic 40, it took me 2 week to adjust the equalizer 😊
