Clay wasn’t evil. As Chase says, “ one must choose evil”. A simple possession isn’t enough. But I do feel you, it’s always nice seeing a good guy turn evil, especially when it gives their powers a slight change.
In all honestly the only one who truly choose to be evil any point was Rai. Yes Omi was Evil at one point however that was due to him using the Yin Yo Yo which left all his good Chi in the Yin Yang world. The same can be said of Kimiko when she battled Wuya in that showdown with one of the Yo Yo's, and Clay was Possessed so yeah.
