Can we replace some of the dental curriculum with videos like this? Much more helpful than typical dental school lectures, especially given the cost of dental school these days. Thank you for helping

No, I never heat composite. Some teaching dentists recommend using a highly filled, viscous composite for veneer seating. In those cases, you must warm the viscous composite to have a chance of complete veneer seating. Years ago, I tried using the high viscosity composite for veneer luting, and heated the viscous, highly filled composite in a hot water bath, but I could never get the veneers to seat because the composite was too viscous. I only use low viscosity, veneer luting composite for veneer seating, so I do not need to heat it. Take your practice to the Top Tier. Very Excellent work my dear doctor. I have just joined the Dentistry Master Classes and i have a simple question from where do i start? do i start learning from the techniques and concept library first. or do i go into the Comprehensive cases?
I would allot a certain amount of time daily and watch both. The comprehensive cases have everything, so those cases should really help you in your practice. Also be sure to watch the video on the new patient exam and consultation with the consultation books and photography. Glad you subscribe to DMC.com.
Hi doc, could you answer a couple of questions, please? Do you recommend preparing both upper and lower veneers in a single visit ( extending to second premolars). Secondly, on average how long should it take to prep/impress/temporize on full upper and lower veneers if done in a single visit. Thanks, enjoy your channel
I prepare, impress and provisionalize 1 arch at a time if I am restoring 8-10 veneers in each arch. At the second appointment, when I am seating the lower arch veneers, I may prepare and impress the upper veneers. Normally, there are too many occlusal, incisal plane things to work out to prepare upper and lower at the same time. I want a predictable result. Plus, I do not want to work that hard if it is not essential. I normally see one sedated patient each morning from 8-1 or 2. I schedule the amount of treatment I can accomplish in that amount of time. Take your practice to the Top Tier.
