The teeth are too small. Crowns remove too much tooth structure and make the small lower anterior teeth prone to breaking. Take your practice to the Top Tier. As always great video sir but I have a off the topic question about how to use a articulating paper. Let's say I've made 2 crowns for the patients number 26 and 36, patient does not miss a tooth and the crowns are high. So because they are opposing teeth how can I know which crown I should reduce to achieve occlusal adjustment?
There is no perfect way to know which crown to adjust, but normally, as with an occlusal equilibration, you would prefer to adjust the ridges and fossae vs. the cusp tips. I take out roots or teeth in sections in several of the extraction videos in the library of DMC.com. You must either use the EasyXTrac system to elevate the root straight out or create some space around the root to elevate/luxate the root. Take your practice to the Top Tier. Thanks doctor. Q. Why not crown the lower anteriors?
